SmackDown Live

James Ellsworth opens SmackDown Live to discuss him costing Ambrose the chance to become #1 Contender to the WWE World Championship last week against AJ Styles.
He starts by thanking Shane and Bryan for giving him the chance to come out and say goodbye. He says after what happened last week, he hasn't been able to sleep or eat.
Ellsworth invites Ambrose to the ring so he can apologize for costing him his match last week.

Dean says he has had a lot of time to think about what he would do, including ripping Ellsworth's head off. He says he can't stay mad at him and he doesn't owe him an apology.
James says he wants the chance to apologize, and Ambrose says it's fine as long as he never gets involved in one of his matches ever again. 
AJ Styles comes out 
AJ says Ambrose has been using Ellsworth and doesn't respect him. He says he was going to go easy on Ellsworth, but Ambrose kept antagonizing him to hit harder and get himself disqualified.
Styles says Ellsworth owes him his entire career, and part of the money he made from his shirt sales. Styles and Ambrose almost get into a fight, so Ellsworth gets in the middle of them.
AJ pushes him into Ambrose so he can take a cheap shot. AJ gets on the apron and hits the Phenomenal Forearm. 

Randy Orton vs. Kane In a DQ Match 

Randy Orton won

Orton stares are Wyatt and Harper. Luke hits Kane with an elbow and then Orton shoves Kane into Wyatt's arms for Sister Abigail. Orton poses in the corner while Wyatt kneels in front of Kane's body.



Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella vs. Alexa Bliss and Carmella

Alexa Bliss and Carmella won 

Dasha Fuentes tries to conduct an interview, but Bliss takes the mic and makes her leave so she and Carmella can interview each other. 
Carmella says she should be the leader of the SD Survivor Series team, and then Bliss talks about how she is going to win the title next week.


American Alpha vs. The Spirit Squad - Survivor Series Qualifying Match for SD Live Tag Team Match

Miz TV with the guest of Daniel Bryan to discuss Survivor Series
Bryan starts off talking about the tag team elimination match at SS. He says there are two more qualifying matches left to see who joined the three teams who have qualified.
Then he says the men's team is made up of Orton, Corbin, Wyatt, Ambrose and Styles. Miz is clearly pissed he wasn't included. 

Miz says Bryan came out just to humiliate him in front of his wife. 
Bryan says they need men who are going to fight at SS, and he doesn't think Miz is up for it. Miz mispronounces obliterated, making a rare blunder on the mic.
    • Miz tells Bryan to go back to Cena's house to mope and Bryan knocks a stool over. Miz leaves out of fear and Bryan tells him to keep running his mouth, because he isn't good at wrestling.
      Ziggler heads to the ring before the break to prepare for a match.


      Dolph Ziggler vs.  Curt Hawkins for the IC Title W/ Miz at commentary 
      Dolph Ziggler won in a quick match 

      Renee Young interviews Ziggler, and he talks about Survivor Series. Ziggler says he is issuing an open challenge to anyone on Raw who wants to try to take the IC title from him.

      Ambrose is backstage preparing for his match when Dasha Fuentes comes up and asks him about the match, mispronouncing James Ellsworth's name as James Ellis.
      We see Ellsworth standing off to the side and he asks if he can come to ringside again. Ambrose gets kind of upset telling him he can't come out to the ring.


      The Usos vs The Head Bangers - Survivor Series Tag Team Qualifing Match
      The Usos won


      AJ Styles (C) vs Dean Ambrose - if Dean wins he'll become the #1 contender for the WWE World Championship
      Ellsworth is still running around the arena and he almost ends up running into the ring. Styles attacks him at ringside and James goes flying over the announce table. Styles springboards into the ring right into a Dirty Deeds to give Ambrose the win.
      Dean Ambrose won and becomes the #1 Contender to the WWE World Championship

      The show ends with Ambrose limping to the back with a smile on his face. He stops on the ramp where security is holding Ellsworth and embraces him before dropping him and walking away.
