After a recap of the results from Survivor Series, Shane McMahon makes his way to the ring to kick things off. He is moving gingerly to show the wounds he suffered on Sunday.
He gives a shoutout to Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for bringing their A-game on Sunday.
As he starts talking about what happened between Ambrose and Styles, The Lunatic Finge makes his way to the ring.
Ambrose brings out James Ellsworth, calling him the MVP for taking out Braun Strowman. Ellsworth comes limping to the ring with a neck brace on.
Ambrose makes Shane reveal a surprise for Ellsworth they had discussed earlier, then he reveals the surprise himself and says Ellsworth is being given a SmackDown contract.
Then Shane says Ambrose has the night off because he has been out of control lately.
Then Shane says Ambrose needs to leave the building right now and Ambrose reluctantly leaves, and at the same moment, AJ Styles comes out. They share a quick glance, but no physical contact.
He asks when SmackDown became the land of undeserved opportunity. He says Ambrose should be kicked off the SmackDown roster for what he did, but Shane disagrees.
He calls Ellsworth a charity case and says if he really wants to deserve his contract, they should have a Ladder match tonight for the contract.
Ellsworth reminds AJ he has beaten him twice. He agrees to the match, but says if he wins, he wants a title shot at some point in the future.
The match is made.

Kane slides Corbin out of the ring and ends up being suckered back in. Kalisto flies off the top rope out of nowhere with a dropkick.
He rolls out of the ring and Kane slides in to hit a Chokeslam.

AJ Styles vs. James Ellsworth in A Contract Ladder Match
James Ellsworth won with help of Dean but James kept fighting and AJ's foot got stuck in the ropes
James now has a WWE contract and feature WWE World Title Match

The show ended with Dean and James standing tall.
