RAW

The show opens with Mick Foley in the ring. He says one of his resolutions was to write the name of the city they are in so he doesn't forget like he did the last time he was on TV.
As he starts talking about the shark cage for Jericho, Kevin Owens and Y2J come out to interrupt.

Jericho and Owens complain about the shark cage stipulation at Royal Rumble. Owens especially has a problem with having to defend the title against Reigns at all.
Foley says he wants to start the new year fresh. He says he has heard a lot about the Kevin Owens Show, so he is going to let him interview Goldberg on his own talk show segment tonight.
Stephanie McMahon heads to the ring.

The segment goes off the rails a little bit when everyone starts arguing. Stephanie complains about SmackDown beating Raw in the ratings last week.
She books Owens vs. Rollins for right now.

Seth Rollins vs. KO- loser will be banned at ring side during the Reigns vs. Jericho US Title Match later tonight!

Seth Rollins won via DQ, KO is banned from ring side.

Cesaro vs. Karl Anderson w/Sheamus on commentary and Luke Gallows at ringside.
Cesaro won

Braun Strowman vs. Sami Zayn in a Last Man Standing Match
Braun Strowman won
Mick brings a stretcher down with some EMTs to take Zayn out of the arena. Strowman runs back down and knocks Zayn off the stretcher so he can throw him into the barricade

The New Day come out after the break to talk about their 2016. They announce that they are entering the Royal Rumble match.
Titus O'Neil comes on the mic and mocks Big E's intro before coming out to interrupt.
Titus says he should be the newest member of The New Day. He even brings a whistle so he can play New Day's theme.
The New Day don't seem too excited about the idea of bringing him into the group. Woods says people would rather see Titus on the back of a milk carton.
Titus says Woods is the weakest member of the group, so Xavier challenges him to a match. Titus punches him and then accepts the challenge.

Titus O'Neil vs. Xavier Woods
Xavier Woods won

Cedric Alexander vs. Drew Gulak
Drew Gulak won

Chris Jericho vs. Roman Reigns (C) for the US Title- if Reigns gets counted out or disqualified he'll lose the US Title

Roman Reigns retained the US Title

Brian Kendrick vs. T.J. Perkins

T.J Perkins won

Enzo and Cass vs. Rusev and Jinder Mahal
Big Cass says Enzo can't fight tonight, so he is going to fight both Rusev and Mahal by himself in a handicap match.

Rusev and Jinder Mahal won

Bayley vs. Nia Jax in a #1 Contender Match for the Women's Championship w/ Charlotte at commentary.

Bayley won and is now the #1 Contender to The Women's Championship at Royal Rumble I mean thinks to the distraction from Sasha Banks to Nia for Bayley to get the win.

Owens gives an intro you think is going to be for Goldberg, but it is actually for Jericho. Y2J mocks the crowd for chanting Goldberg's name, and he puts the whole city on the list.
Jericho announces himself for the Royal Rumble match. Owens asks why he is in the match because if he wins, they have to face each other at WrestleMania.

Goldberg's music hits and he makes his way through the backstage area to the ring.

Goldberg says that since Jericho is in the Rumble, he's first. Owens tries to calm Goldberg down and tells him to have a seat. Goldberg throws the chair out of the ring.
Goldberg gets right in their faces and Owens asks if he is supposed to be intimidated by him. Owens throws the table and chairs out of the ring to show he can do it too.
As they yell at each other, Paul Heyman comes out on the stage.

Heyman tries to say Lesnar will win the Rumble, but Goldberg cuts him off and says he will eliminate Lesnar to face either Reigns or Owens at WrestleMania.
This brings out Reigns to add his two cents. He gets in Goldberg's face, but Strowman comes out before anything can happen. He grabs the mic from a cowering Heyman and says if anyone will win the Rumble it's going to be him.

Reigns and Goldberg look at each other and deliver a double Spear to take Strowman off his feet. The show ends with Goldberg standing tall as Reigns heads to the back.

70/70

Better then last week. Great matches and ending as we look closer to Royal Rumble. Next Week looks to be incredible with Undertaker and Shawn Michaels on RAW.
Who do you want to win the Royal Rumble Match?
