SmackDown Live

The show opens with Daniel Bryan being interrupted while trying to eat a shiny red apple. The Miz asks why he doesn't have his own locker room and Bryan offers to give him a stall in the public restroom. Then he ends up giving Miz a rematch for the IC title against Dean Ambrose, but he makes it a Lumberjack match so Maryse won't be the deciding factor

Luke Harper vs. Randy Orton
Randy Orton won
Wyatt went into the ring and reached out his hand to Luke to help him up and then he grabbed him like a hug and then gave out him in sister Abigail and then Orton and Wyatt walked away.

Renee Young welcomes Mickie James to the ring so they can discuss her return and what happened in last week's main event.
James seems upset about the women's revolution getting so much attention while her generation paved the way without getting credit. She credits Bliss with bringing her back to WWE to explain why they are aligned. Her promo was pretty stellar, but an interruption was inevitable. Becky Lynch matches to the ring and attacks. She chases James into the crowd, where a waiting Bliss blindsides her and helps James finish her off in the ring.

Battle Royal for a Spot in the Royal Rumble
Mojo Rawley won and is now in the Royal Rumble

Before AJ Styles calls John Cena to the ring, he shows the Royal Rumble poster. His head is way in the back of the group while Cena is front and center. He demands Cena come to the ring, and since his character won't allow him to back down from someone calling him out, he heads to the ring.
AJ plays a clip of Cena showing him disrespect on The Today Show. He runs down Cena and claims to have fully replaced him as the face of SmackDown. Cena lets him talk for a long time before responding.
Cena and Styles sold that segment like the pros they are. Cena played the homegrown hero to Styles' international star. Exchanges like these are why Cena still has his spot in WWE.
That segment was amazing!

Dolph Ziggler vs. Kalisto
Dolph Ziggler won

Ziggler grabs a chair from ringside. JBL gets up from the announce table, but Apollo Crews is the one who blindsides Ziggler and sends him into the ring post.

After Nikki Bella is shown attacking Natalya backstage, Naomi says she still wants a match and issues an open challenge. Alexa Bliss comes out and mocks her for not being on TV for over a month and pretends not to know who she is. Bliss refuses to fight her and leaves after delivering one last insult. While it would have been nice to see Naomi actually wrestle, knowing she is being put into the hunt for the title is still a great end.

Announcement Match for Royal Rumble:

Naomi and Nikki and Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss and Natalya and Mickie James

The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose (C) for the IC Title in a Lumberjack Match

We shall Chaos with the Lumberjacks and then brawling inside the ring, but Dean Ambrose retained the IC Title. The Show ended with Dean Ambrose standing tall and holding up the IC Title.

Rating 100/100
I thought it was an awesome show and great matches. Super excited for Royal Rumble.
