The show opens with Charlotte, Carmella and Becky Lynch coming to the ring. Carmella brags about how her life is great because she is the champion. Then she mocks Becky for not getting the one on one match she wanted. She tells Lynch to go back to being a clown because it’s the only thing she is better than Charlotte at. Becky says she is not happy Charlotte is in the match, but she still plans on walking out of SummerSlam as champion. Carmella says the only reason Becky even won the title in the first place was because Charlotte was on Raw at the time. Charlotte steps in and says no matter who wins, Carmella will lose at SummerSlam because she can’t hang with the rest of the division. Charlotte calls Carmella a Diva in the women’s area. Carmella says she is damn proud to be a Diva because she has beauty, a body, and charisma they will never have. Paige comes out and says she knows the SmackDown women will steal the show on Sunday, but we won’t have to wait until Sunday to see them compete. She books Becky and Charlotte in a tag match against Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville right now. Carmella will sit with the commentary team for this one.

The Miz appears in a video announcing Miz and Mrs. has been picked up by USA for a second season.

We see part one of a video package that leads to the historic match of Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz at SummerSlam. - definitely one of the matches I am excited for.

After the match, part 2 of the video series for Bryan and The Miz airs showcasing Bryan's retirement up to their showdown on Talking Smack.

Paige is shown warning Samoa Joe not to attack AJ Styles when he addresses the WWE Universe tonight. Joe says he was hired because he is dangerous and unpredictable and nobody can stop him from doing what he wants to do. Back in the arena, Aiden English prepares to face Andrade Almas.

Almas and Vega brag about their win until Rusev and Lana come out to respond. Rusev gets a chant going for Lana and the Revishing Russian says they will crush Andrade and Zelina.

After the break, WWE plays the final part of the Bryan vs. Miz video series.

Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin

Shinsuke Nakamura comes out after the match and attacks Hardy from behind. Jeff counters the Kinshasa and hits the Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb.

AJ Styles comes out after the break to close the show with a promo. He says he is blessed to be able to do what he has done for almost 20 years. He talks about how holding the WWE title is hard because it puts pressure on him. He says Joe hit his pressure point and shows a clip of Joe attacking him a few weeks ago.

Joe comes out and says he has a letter from a member of the WWE Universe. He claims the letter says Joe was right about AJ being a bad father who never wanted kids or a wife. It's supposedly from AJ's wife, Wendy. 

The show ends with Joe walking away.
