WrestleMania 40 Predictions

40 yrs of WrestleMania. I feel WrestleMania will always be the must see event. And, the WrestleMania 40 card looks exciting. 

So here’s my predictions for Night 1 of WrestMania:

The Rock and Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins 

I have a feeling that Rock & Reigns will use everything they have up their sleeves to win this. Especially if it means them winning means they can choose the stipulation for the Undisputed Universal Championship Match involving Reigns & Rhodes at Night 2.

My prediction is The Rock and Roman Reigns wins. I feel it will make sense at Night 2.

Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Becky Lynch for the Women’s World Championship 

My prediction is Rhea Ripley retains the Women’s World Championship

Gunther (c) vs. Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship 

Imma shoot my shot, my prediction is Sami Zayn winning the Intercontinental Championship and I think Zayn deserves this.

Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso

My prediction is Jey Uso wins. Also, will we see them embrace and return as “The Usos”? Because I really feel this could possibly happen at Night 2.

Finn Bálor and Damian Priest (c) vs. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa vs. The Miz and R-Truth vs. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods vs. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller vs. Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate in a Six-pack ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship 

I’m shooting my shot again, my prediction is The Miz and R-Truth aka AWESOME TRUTH winning the Tag Team Titles. I feel this would be amazing and exciting. 

Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and Naomi vs. Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane)

My prediction is Belair, Cargill and Naomi winning

Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee vs. Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio.

I am disappointed in the fact it isn’t just Rey vs. Dominik it would’ve been so much better. 

My prediction is Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar winning.

Night 2: 

Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits vs. Final Testament (Six-Man Tag Team Philadelphia Street Fight)

My prediction is Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Universal Championship 

Altho, we will see The Bloodline interfere and try to help but will there be a stipulation added? That is my question? A No Disqualification Match would definitely be a great idea and work in favor of not only Reigns but Rhodes as well. Will we see any help for Rhodes? Brock? Stone Cold? John Cena? Or his OWN brother? Dustin comes out and saves his brother. or maybe Rikishi? What will happen? There are so many possibilities.

Again, shooting my shot here.. My prediction is Cody Rhodes wins and becomes Undisputed Universal Champion and finally finishes his story even with all the odds stacked against him he comes on top.

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship 

Although, I love Rollins. I feel McIntyre deserves this opportunity to come out as the World Heavyweight Champion in front of a crowd. This also would allow Rollins to step away from wrestling for a lil bit. I am shooting my shot on McIntyre winning. Although here is another thing that is possible could Cm Punk interfere? Will Damian Priest finally cash in his MITB briefcase? I mean I really wanna see McIntyre get this opportunity. I mean could u imagine Cm Punk vs. McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship? I think that would be fire. Considering there feud lately. I am still bummed we didn’t get a Rollins vs Punk hopefully soon. Heck make it a triple threat id watch it. 

Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bayley for the Women’s Championship 

My prediction is Bayley winning and becoming the Women’s Champion. This is a huge moment for Bayley and I would love to see her get this big win at WrestleMania.

Logan Paul (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens for the United States Championship 

This one is tough, because I love both Orton and Owens. 

I am going to shoot my shot, my prediction is Kevin Owens wins and becomes United States Champion. Also, along as Paul loses I will be happy he is not a real WWE Superstar and he doesn’t even deserve a champion ahead of those who been there longer and been trying to get this opportunity only for it to go to Paul is still crazy to me. I am rooting for Owens to win, but also rooting for either Owens or Orton to win. But i think in the end it should be Owens tho. 

LA Knight vs. AJ Styles 

Why is there no stipulation? Like it would be awesome if it was a street fight or like HIAC type match. I mean they recently brawled at a media event so these matches would totally make sense. They deserved a stipulation I mean there whole feud has been intense and insane. 

 My prediction is LA Knight winning. 

Another question, if you have seen the Bray Wyatt documentary you would understand why I ask this.

Will we see a return of Uncle Howdy? Could u imagine him returning and costing LA Knight? It’s the last person Wyatt feuded with before he died so I could see this. But I could also see a return on RAW after Mania. In Wrestling anything is possible. 

I am pumped for WrestleMania 40 and the card looks and feels exciting. Can’t wait to see what happens.

Royal Rumble

 The kick off panel hypes tonight’s match card.

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Freaking Rollins for the Universal Championship

Ended in DQ after Reigns wouldn’t break the hold on Rollins. Seth won but Reigns retained. Reigns then takes an chair to Rollins’s back just like Rollins did to end the Shield. Like Reigns literally destroyed Reigns & than left with the championship. Hopefully an rematch at mania.

30 Women’s Royal Match

Ronda Rousey won & will be going to WrestleMania!

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Doudrop for the RAW Women’s Championship

Becky Lynch won & retains the RAW Women’s Championship

Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship

Bobby Lashley won & came the new WWE Champion thanks to the involvement of Reigns hitting him with the title with the help of Heyman.

Edge & Beth Phoenix vs. The Miz & Maryse 

Edge & Beth Phoenix won

30 Men’s Royal Rumble 

Brock Lesnar won & will be going to WrestleMania. So Reigns vs. Brock at Mania for the Universal Championship.

I am sorry it wasn’t that good. Some great returns & moments but the only good match was Rollins vs. Reigns. I am hoping Rollins will be involved in the match at mania because the way it ended sucked.

Pretty great show and matches 

 

I am pretty excited to see Belair go to WrestleMania. Now, we wait to see who she chooses to face at WrestleMania. I am hopeful for Sasha Banks. I think it is also awesome Edge won and is going to WrestleMania to probably face Roman Reigns I mean spear vs. spear would be neat but I think Drew deserves an better opponent this time around. Also, who else was hopeful for Rollins or even Daniel Bryan to win the Rumble? Like, Reigns vs. Rollins at Mania would of been awesome not saying it still isn’t possible but that would of been the key to Mania tho. I enjoyed the show and look forward to seeing who both Belair and Edge choose to face at WrestleMania. 

 

SmackDown

Sasha Banks kicked off SmackDown we were headed straight for the SmackDown Women's Title rematch. Bayley was backstage and said that she was confident she would win, before making her entrance to the ring.

Rey Mysterio was backstage on SmackDown, worrying about Aalyah who was missing. Dominik reminded  him that he had a match next. Corbin attacked Rey after Dom left but he returned to back his father up before we headed for commercials.

Jey Uso was backstage with Heyman who told him that he needed Roman's permission for even an interview. Roman came out and told Jey that he had to ask permission for everything.

Roman then spoke about Kevin Owens who made a joke about their family and Uso said he will take care of it. Roman told Heyman to go get Adam Pearce so he can address the situation.

SmackDown opened with an recap of the actions from Retribution.

Big E vs. John Morrison

There are the flickering lights and one of the Retribution members has entered the ring. Oh, the entire ringside area has been taken over! Michael Cole and Corey Graves runway while Big E and John Morrison attempt to fight them off. 

Bayley and Sasha Banks comes out.

Bayley and Sasha kick the ring announcer out, saying just like everything else in WWE, they can do it better than anybody else.

The WWE Women's Tag Team Champions are introducing everyone. IIconics first, Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart next. Both of these teams have been beaten by Bayley and Sasha for the belts. 

Lacey Evans is out, followed by Asuka! 

Women’s Battle Royal 

Asuka lastly eliminates Shayna Baszler and is now the #1 Contender to both RAW and SmackDown Women's Championships. 

Sheamus vs. Chad Gable

Sheamus takes out Big E with a Brogue Kick.

Braun Strowman emerges and calls out The Fiend, reminding him that he said when he emerged from the swamp, he'd be the meanest S.O.B. that anyone had ever seen. 

Braun follows up, claiming that he would eat The Fiend's entrails.

Alexa Bliss runs down to the ring to confront the Universal Champion, wanting a conversation. Bliss says that they've been friends for years, but Strowman claims that he's been a pawn for her instead. 

Everyone that comes in contact with The Fiend changes, including you. Now get out of my ring. I want The Fiend." 
Alexa Bliss says that she needs to slap some sense into Strowman, and does so. Strowman laughs it all off before picking up Bliss for a military press. 

The Fiend seemingly saves Bliss from any harm, appearing and swapping places with Strowman. Or...did Strowman swap places with him?

SmackDown - August 7

We got a recap of Bray Wyatt and The Fiend's actions from last week.

SmackDown kicked off with the Firefly Funhouse. Wyatt greeted us and said that everyone was blaming him for what happened to Alexa Bliss last week. He said Strowman was the one to blame and said that the Fiend was waiting for Braun to show up and has taken Alexa hostage.

Matt Riddle vs. Sheamus

Matt Riddle took Gable out after the attack and after the result was announced in Riddle's favor, Sheamus took Gable out with the Brogue kick and then hit a second one just to be sure. 

Backstage on SmackDown, Sheamus walked up to King Corbin and threatened to kick his head off before Corbin walked out saying he had to get ready for his match with Jeff Hardy later in the night.

The Dirt Sheet was back on SmackDown with Miz and Morrison and the Guest was Sonya Deville. The mics kept cutting out just like on RAW before they introduced Mandy's Hair as a special guest! It was a wig-puppet with goggly eyes and Miz & Morrison were voicing it.

They finally called Deville out and she was trashing on Mandy, saying that she was pathetic and Miz reminded us that no one has heard from Rose since the attack. They kept making fun of Mandy and Otis before Heavy Machinery came out and attacked Miz & Morrison.

Cesaro vs. Lince Dorado

We were back in the ring as the lights went out before The Fiend made his entrance on SmackDown before we headed for ads. We returned to SmackDown to see that Alexa Bliss was in the ring and The Fiend was circling her. He went for the Mandible Claw but stopped before Braun Strowman came on the Titantron to say that he was the real monster and would face Wyatt at SummerSlam.

Jeff Hardy vs. King Corbin

Corbin locked in a submission in the ring and Hardy was sent outside again when Sheamus rushed in and hit a Brogue Kick.

Corbin was furious as Sheamus caused him a loss via DQ and came outside to fight him as we headed for a break on SmackDown.

Backstage on SmackDown, Bayley & Sasha Banks were having a chat when they were called in for a video conference with Stephanie McMahon.

Big E was backstage on SmackDown and said that he was going to give a hundred percent for his singles career, wherever it might lead him.

Sasha Banks and Bayley were out in the SmackDown ring and Stephanie was on the Titantron. She congratulated them before making it known that she wasn't pleased with their dirty tricks.

Stephanie said Banks & Bayley will be defending their titles at SummerSlam. Bayley's opponent will be selected via a triple-brand battle Royal while Banks will face Asuka if she beats Bayley on Monday.

Heavy Machinery vs. Miz & Morrison

Miz sent Tucker into the barricades and Otis into the steel steps when Mandy Rose came out to attack Sonya Deville.

The match was called off and the two teams tried to separate them. We headed for another break on SmackDown as Otis and Tucker managed to take Mandy out of the ring and away from Deville.

The two groups were still quarreling backstage when we returned to SmackDown and the lights went out before the Retribution took over the ring, carrying baseball bats and attacked everyone in sight, including the NXT Superstars in the audience.

They were massacring everyone in sight and even the announcers fled as some of the crew picked up steel chairs to defend themselves. The Retribution flipped the announce table and started spraying the ring and the barricades as the carnage continued and one guy cut the ring ropes with a chainsaw. The cameras cut out rather abruptly as no one knew what was happening.

SmackDown - July 31

SmackDown opens with Bayley & Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross hyped the SmackDown Women's title match between Cross and Bayley while Big E talked about facing the Miz tonight. Lacey Evans and Naomi were looking forward to their match as well while AJ Styles was confident in his title defense tonight against Gran Metalik.

SmackDown finally kicked off with Bray Wyatt and the FireFly Funhouse. Wyatt said the Fiend wanted Braun Strowman title and was looking for him at the swamp. He added that no one would be safe until Braun was found.

We got a recap of last week's bar fight between Sheamus and Jeff Hardy before SmackDown continued with Hardy arriving backstage.

Jeff Hardy came out and celebrated his win against Sheamus. He said he was grateful for everyone's support in his personal challenges with addiction. Baron Corbin interrupted him and said that he was sick of Jeff's whining.

Corbin said that he was losing his mind and Jeff fired back at him saying that the real problem was Corbin himself. Corbin called him sad and pathetic before Drew Gulak attacked him from behind.

Matt Riddle attacked Corbin after the match on SmackDown and as Riddle was setting up to finish off Corbin, Chad Gable rushed in and hit him with the Chaos Theory German Suplex. 

Big E vs. The Miz

Sheamus was backstage on SmackDown and said that his mistake was fighting Jeff in a bar, where Hardy felt the most at home. He said Jeff was not his problem anymore before walking off.

Naomi vs. Lacey Evans

Naomi won

Otis and Mandy Rose were talking about going on a date before Sonya Deville sneaked in from behind but they had already left.

Back on SmackDown after a break, Mandy Rose was getting ready for her date but Sonya attacked her and messed her makeup off before chopping off part of her hair. She then picked up some clippers before officials stepped in and sent her off.

Miz and Morrison came in to add fuel to the fire and make things worse by making jokes about Mandy before Tucker chased them off.

Bayley (c) vs. Nikki Cross for the SmackDown Women’s Championship 

Bayley won and retains the SmackDown Women’s Championship 

Alexa was trying to console Nikki after the match but she shoved her aside before the lights went out. The red lights were on as The Fiend stalked Alexa in the ring and hit the Mandible Claw on her before SmackDown ended.

Rating: 70/70
