SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with a replay of Jinder Mahal winning the WWE title at Backlash. We go outside the arena where we see a police escort for the new champion and the Singh brothers.

Shane McMahon comes out to the ring to kick the show off with a big Money in the Bank announcement.

After announcing Orton vs. Mahal in a rematch at Money in the Bank, Shane says he is here to introduce the five participants in this year's SmackDown MITB match. AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens all come to the ring.

Shane tells Owens he isn't in the match at MITB, but Shinsuke Nakamura is. Nakamura past Owens on his way to the ring.

Owens complains about not being included in the MITB match when the

man he beat at Backlash has a spot. He says Shane is jealous because he couldn't beat Styles at WrestleMania. Shane actually agrees with him and gives him the sixth spot in the match. Corbin and Styles decide to voice their opinions.
Corbin calls Sami Zayn the Rudy of SmackDown Live.
Zayn reminds him that he was victorious in their match at Backlash and says he is more than willing to beat him again. Ziggler says he is the only one in the ring who has won the MITB match before Nakamura takes the mic from him and says he will win this year. Shane books Corbin vs. Zayn in a rematch and Owens and Ziggler vs. Nakamura and Styles.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte vs. Natalya and Carmella

Baron Corbin vs. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn won
Baron Corbin attacked Zayn after the match, I don't think he didn't like
losing to Zayn again.
After The Lone Wolf hits several forearms to the head, some officials come out and check on Zayn while medics bring a stretcher to take him away.

After the break we see several dancers on the stage with a drummer. They perform a routine before The Singh Brothers come out. The crowd gives the performers a nice little pop, but their reaction quickly changes to booing as Mahal comes out.

The new champion says we can boo him all we want because 1.3 billion people are celebrating for him in India. He goes back to the same complaints about being ridiculed for
how he looks, talks and acts
Mahal's celebration ends without an appearance from Randy Orton.
These things usually end with the new champion being attacked.

Tyler Breeze vs. Jey Uso

Jimmy grabs a mic and says they already beat Breezango at Backlash. Fandango shoots his squirt gun at Jey to distract him, allowing Breeze to roll him up for the win.

Jimmy Uso vs. Fandango

Jey chases Breeze around the ring, which distracts Jey long enough for Fandango to roll him up and win the exact same way as Breeze. That's three matches that lasted less than a minute. This could be a new record.
Breezango say they should get a rematch for the tag titles. The Usos accept and it looks like this will actually happen right now.

70/70

Awesome show and matches. Still hate the Mahal thing but I have hopes for Orton and the MITB Ladder Match and the superstars who have an chance at cashing in for the WWE Championship
