SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with a video recap of Erick Rowan and Luke Harper attacking Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns last week.





Daniel Bryan vs. Erick Rowan



Rowan comes out and gives a promo about how the fans have been disrespecting him. Bryan comes out and challenges him to a fight right now. A ref appears in the ring to make it official.


Erick Rowan won thanks to interference from Harper.


As Rowan and Harper clear off an announce table, Roman Reigns makes his way down. He nails Harper with a Superman Punch but Rowan takes him down with a big right hand. Bryan and Reigns end up saving each other but Bryan refuses to let Reigns help him to his feet. He grabs a mic and asks if Reigns will team with him to face Harper and Rowan. The crowd chants Yes.



Kofi Kingston gives a backstage interview with Michael Cole and talks about his match with Brock Lesnar on the premiere of SmackDown on FOX



Chad Gable vs. Mike Kanellis

Charlotte and Carmella vs. Bayley and Sasha Banks


Bayley and Sasha Banks won


Truth picks up Mella and runs away with her as several women pursue. Banks and Bayley team up on Charlotte until Becky Lynch heads to the ring. The Man takes out both women with Bexploders.





Ali vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Asuka and Kairi Sane vs. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

After the break, Shane McMahon invites Kevin Owens to the ring.

Shane offers KO his job back and promises to get rid of his fine. He says they can restart with a clean slate and offers his hand. Owens thinks about it for a moment before calling Shane an idiot. He says he wants to see Shane get fired and challenges him to one final match. If Owens wins, Shane is fired, but if Shane wins, KO stays fired. He also says it needs to be a ladder match with the contract above the ring.

Becky is giving an interview backstage when Sasha Banks attacks her. The show ends with Banks taking Becky out before a few officials break them apart.


We’ll that was the last of SmackDown Live on USA Network. It should be interesting when it moves to FOX Next Friday.

SmackDown Live


After the commentators run down the lineup for the night, The New Day heads to the ring for the six-man match against Randy Orton and The Revival.


The New Day vs. The Revival and Randy Orton


The New Day won 



Brock Lesnar's music hits and he comes out on the stage. He walks to the ring with Heyman by his side. Kofi sends Woods and Big E out so he can face The Beast by himself. Heyman does his usual intro for Lesnar and himself. He says Brock is what stands in the way of the longevity of Kingston's title reign. He officially challenges Kofi to a title match on the debut episode of SmackDown on Fox.



Brock grabs Kofi and hits an F-5 after the champion accepts his challenge.



Erick Rowan gives an intense interview with Michael Cole. He says he is a leader, not a follower. He says he is smarter than Daniel Bryan and nobody will ever disrespect him again.



Ali vs. Shinsuke Nakamura


The match between Nakamura and Ali never happened since Shinsuke and Sami attacked Ali. We also see Kevin Owens being seated in the crowd and Shane McMahon being served with a lawsuit backstage.



Shane comes to the ring with a group of security guards after the break. He stares at KO as Greg Hamilton does his introduction. He invites Owens into the ring to talk about the lawsuit. He reveals Owens has filed the largest wrongful termination suit in history. He says KO would get $25 million if he were to win. Owens tells him to shut up and explains his case.


Owens lays out his case and says he knows he can hurt Shane by going after his wallet and his pride. KO says Shane didn't read the lawsuit very well because it also says if he wins, he gets to come back and Shane gets fired.



Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks


After a failed distraction from Bayley, Flair locks in the Figure Four. Bayley attacks her to cause a disqualification.



Baron Corbin comes out after the break to be crowned King of the Ring. He revels as someone places a cape and crown on him. He invites Chad Gable to the ring.

Corbin makes some more short jokes, so Gable tackles him and breaks the throne. He breaks the scepter over Corbin's body and rips his cape. Corbin retreats as Gable breaks all his stuff.



Heavy Machinery vs. The B Team

Daniel Bryan comes out to talk about how Rowan betrayed him. He says he treated Rowan as a friend and equal when they won the titles. Rowan comes out and says he is sick of hearing Bryan talk about being equals.

Rowan says Bryan tried to turn him into a puppet just like everyone else. He says Bryan disrespected him and Bryan tells him to do something about it because there is nothing, he can do that is worse than lying and breaking their friendship. Harper attacks Bryan from behind and they proceed to tear Bryan apart. Roman Reigns' music hits and he heads to the ring.
Harper and Rowan eventually get the upper hand and powerbomb Reigns into the ring post. They expose some of the concrete floor before they have to beat up several security guards. Rowan breaks off part of the barricade and uses it as a weapon to hit Roman. He and Harper clean off the announce table and put Bryan through it with a double slam. SmackDown ends with Harper and Rowan standing over the bodies of Reigns and Bryan.

Rating: 80/80

Great show and matches as we look to Hell in A Cell.

The Kickoff panel consist of Booker T, The Coach, Charly Caruso, David Otunga and they hype tonight’s match card.

The announcers say Becky was DQ's for hitting the ref so this is all just a fight. Banks grabs another chair but Lynch kicks her in the gut and uses the chair to hit her in the back.
Becky uses a chair to help apply the DisArmHer again. A few officials come out
to break up the fight. The crowd boos when the fight finally ends.

Becky Lynch is still Raw Women’s Champion. We better get this again at HIAC!

As Seth celebrates on the stage and the lights go out and The Fiend appears. He hits Sister Abigail on the stage before the lights go out again. They come back on and he chokes out Seth with the mandible claw.

SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with The Undertaker coming out.

The crowd chants Taker's name for a long time before he finally speaks. He says he wanted to take a minute to absorb the crowd's response. He talks about how he has considered MSG his home for 30 years and he doesn't know how many times he will be able to visit in the future. For some reason, Sami Zayn decides this is a good time to make an appearance.

Zayn puts over The Undertaker and says he has nothing but respect for him. However, he doesn't think Taker should have opened the show over him. He asks Taker when enough is enough after 30 years. Zayn says he is the future of WWE and the crowd tells him he sucks. He asks Taker to leave the ring, but he does it respectfully.

Taker acts like he is going to do what Zayn said but then he turns around and grabs him for a chokeslam. The segment ends with Taker leaving as his music plays.

The Miz vs. Andrade Almas

Shinsuke Nakamura attacks The Miz after the match.



Mandy Rose vs. Nikki Cross

Heavy Machinery vs. Jobbers

Shane tells Owens he is thinking about getting rid of his 100K fine if he is willing to be the ref in his KOTR match against Gable tonight. Shane implies the fine will go away if he helps Shane win.


Rowan is in the ring and says nobody truly understands him and thinks someone else has been controlling him. He says everyone should look into his eyes to see what he is capable of. Reigns music hits and he marches his way to the ring. He hits a Superman Punch as soon as he gets into the ring. He runs around the ring for a Spear but Rowan kicks him in the face. They take the fight into the crowd.
Roman hits a second Superman Punch before a bunch of officials come down to separate them. Reigns nails one more. Rowan picks up a fan who was planted there and throws him into Reigns from over the barricade. Reigns and Rowan continue to fight up to the stage. Rowan grabs the camera crane and throws it into Reigns.

 
Bayley vs. Ember Moon

Kofi Kingston heads to the ring after the break. Kofi talks about his feud with Randy Orton before The Viper appears in the crowd to taunt him.
Kofi heads into the crowd and they get into a fight. Orton hits him with a chair and it is revealed to be a trap. He beats Kingston down with the chair before throwing him into the side of the stage. He puts Kofi on a table for a DDT but Kofi counters and starts pounding on him. Kofi grabs the chair and hits Randy a few times. The champ sets up a table. Orton tries to hit him with a chair but Kofi blocks. Kingston breaks the table on accident, so he grabs a second table and puts Orton on it. He climbs up into the crowd and leaps off to put Orton through the table just like he did 10 years ago.

Chad Gable vs. Shane McMahon (KOTR Semifinals) - w/ Owens as special guest referee.

Gable hits the rolling German suplex and Owens makes the count to give him the win. Shane grabs a mic and says the match is now two out of three falls.

Gable grabs Shane and puts him in an ankle lock. Shane taps and Gable gets the win to advance to the finals.

Shane attacks Owens after the match and then says he is fired.

SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with a recap of Bayley's heel turn from Monday's Raw.

Bayley comes out at the top of the show just like she always does, but this time you can hear a few boos in the crowd. She grabs a mic and when the music stops, a lot more boos can be heard. You can also hear people chanting her name and she says the reaction is confusing. She talks about how people were shocked by what she did but everyone should have known she would be loyal to Sasha Banks.

Bayley says she has been trying to lift up the entire division with her whole heart and she is trying to show people what it means to be loyal. She promises to defeat the selfish Charlotte at Clash of Champions. Charlotte comes out and agrees that she is selfish and says she is genuine about it. This brings out Sasha Banks.

Before Banks can get to the ring, Charlotte nails Bayley with a big boot. She tackles The Boss and beats on her until Bayley hits her with a steel chair. She gives the chair to Banks so she can use it on Flair.

After a scathing promo, Orton calls out Kofi for a fight. The New Day's music hits but when Kofi comes out, he is being beaten up by The Revival. Kofi does his best to fight them off but Orton lays him out with a clothesline. He keeps calling Kofi stupid as he stomps him into the mat. The Revival hold him up so Orton can hit an RKO. Kofi kicks him below the belt and breaks free for a moment but he gets beaten down once again.

Aleister Black vs. Shelton Benjamin

After several other Superstars try, Bo Dallas ends up pinning Drake Maverick to win the 24/7 Title. Back in the arena, Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn head to the ring.

After the match, Maverick chases Dallas into the ring and pins him to regain the 24/7 Title. He escapes before Dallas can get revenge but then Truth appears on the stage and rolls him up to win the belt for the 14th time.


Bryan comes out after the break and gives a promo saying he had nothing to do with the attacks against Reigns. He demands The Big Dog come out and apologize to him. As Roman comes out onto the ramp, Rowan attacks him from behind. Bryan eventually tries to stop him but Rowan shoves him to the floor. He powerbombs Reigns into the ring post before bringing him into the ring. He grabs Reigns by the skull with The Iron Claw and slams him to the mat. He picks up a mic and taunts Reigns by saying Bryan had nothing to do with it. He says Bryan is worse than everyone because he thought he could control Rowan. He says if Bryan wants to show how big of a man he is, he can try to slap him in the face again. Rowan says he is proud of everything he has done to Reigns and looks forward to hurting him at Clash of Champions. He picks up a set of steel stairs and hits Reigns in the face. He cleans off an announce table, but Bryan tries to stop him. He slaps Rowan in the face, so Rowan slams him through the table. The show ends with Bryan and Reigns on the ground as Rowan yells at everyone. Rating: 80/80 Great show and matches as we get closer to Clash of Champions.

RAW


Braun Strowman heads to the ring to open RAW tonight.


And, his tag team partner and Universal Champion Seth Rollins comes out.


Contract Signing for the Universal Championship Match at WWE Clash 


Michael Cole is officiating and interviewing the two about being able to co-exist in a tag title match before their Universal Title match against each other. 


AJ Styles and The OC interrupt the contract signing. Styles insists that, a US Champion, he should be first in line for a Universal Championship match. He is also wondering who he is supposed to face for his title at Clash of Champions.


After threatening Michael Cole, AJ grabs the contract that Braun and Seth were about to sign and tears it up.

The OC attack Rollins and Strowman after the match and then Roode and Ziggler comes out and joins in on the attack to leave Rollins and Strowman laid out in the ring.

Becky Lynch comes out after the break to talk about Sasha Banks. She talks about how Banks and Charlotte were given so many opportunities before her.



The Boss comes out and says it should have been her who main-evented WrestleMania. Becky challenges her to come to the ring for a fight. Banks says she only fights for the paycheck and she won't fight Becky until the belt is on the line at Clash of Champions. Lynch accepts her challenge.

Samoa Joe vs. Ricochet (KOTR Round 2)


The ref counts and both men's shoulders are on the mat. The ref goes out of the ring and grabs a headset to talk to someone backstage. He says they are going to make a ruling soon and heads backstage. Joe attacks Ricochet and brings him back to the ring. Ricochet hits a kick and a recoil.



Corey Graves is interviewing WWE referee John Cone, and next week, Samoa Joe, Ricochet and Baron Corbin will meet in a Triple Threat match to determine who moves on in the King of the Ring tournament.

Becky Lynch and Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

Banks runs in and hits Becky with a backstabber to cause a disqualification.

Banks grabs a chair and starts hitting Becky until Bayley takes it from her. Banks stares at her best friend with disgust. Bayley smiles and then hits Becky with the chair several times. Bayley just turned heel! Raw goes off the air with the crowd chanting Yes as Bayley lays into Becky with the chair.

SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with a recap of the recent attacks on Roman Reigns.


We get a recap of Randy Orton attacking The New Day and Kofi Kingston attacking Orton in retaliation. Kingston is in the ring to deliver a promo and the crowd chants his name before he begins. He talks about how Orton likes to talk trash and mentions how he knocked The Viper out last week.


Orton appears on the big screen and calls Kofi stupid more than a dozen times. He says he would love to come out and beat Kofi up but he is going to wait until Clash of Champions. He says someone gave him a letter today and he wants to read it to Kofi. He says the letter is from Kofi's son and it is asking him to stop hurting his dad.

Kofi runs backstage and gets into a fight with Orton near the Gorilla position. Producers try to break them apart but Orton ends up hitting a DDT on the floor that takes Kingston down

The Miz vs Sami Zayn is next


The Miz starts talking about Sami Zayn and calls him a spokesperson because he can't hack it in a WWE ring.


The Miz sends out a challenge to Shinsuke Nakamura at Clash of Champions for the Intercontinental Championship.

Zayn comes out and distracts Miz so Nakamura can attack him from behind. Sami taunts Miz on the mic while Shinsuke delivers a Kinshasa.

Now that the match is done, The Revival get ready for a beatdown. They assist another RKO and stand tall.





Elias is giving a promo about how he will become King of the Ring when Kevin Owens attacks him from behind. He hits Elias with a Stunner before leaving. R-Truth sneaks in after he is gone and tries to cover Elias. Drake Maverick pulls him out of the ring and makes the cover to win the 24/7 Title.

Reigns is out after the breaks and Bryan demands an apology. Roman says he is going to play a video first. It shows someone who looks like Rowan walking away from the scene of the crime. Bryan sees this and starts slapping the hell out of Rowan. He says he hates liars and sends him away. He heads to the ring and tells Roman he did not know anything about this.



Bryan gets in the ring and Reigns immediately hits him with a Spear.



The show ends with Roman walking away from the ring.

Randy Orton kicks off SmackDown by heading to the ring.





We get a video highlighting the attack on The New Day by Orton and Revival on RAW last night.



“Unlike Kofi Kingston, I am not a liar," claims Orton, as he declares the WWE Champion to be "stupid"


New Day's music hits and Kofi sneaks in behind Orton to deliver Trouble in Paradise. The WWE Champion grabs a steel chair and wraps Orton's ankle with it. Kingston is about to jump on it when The Revival come down to save The Viper. Kofi fights them off with the chair while Orton escapes the ring.



Andrade Almas vs. Apollo Crews (KOTR Round 1)


Andrade Almas won and advances in the KOTR




Rowan and Daniel Bryan bring a hoodie, disguised figure into a backstage room, they threaten him and say to not move from that spot. 






A Moment of Bliss 


Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross come out for another talk show segment so they can interview Charlotte Flair. The Queen comes out in street clothes and says she should be sitting in the throne that is on the stage, not Alexa's chair.


Bayley comes out after Flair talks some trash about her. The Hugger says she is the champion and that makes her better than Charlotte. The Queen says people were talking about her match with Trish, not Bayley vs. Moon. She promises to beat Bayley at Clash of Champions and Bayley says she accepts her challenge. Bayley shoves Charlotte over in the chair before leaving.

Daniel Bryan and Rowan attacked Buddy Murphy backstage.




The Revival vs. Heavy Machinery

The Miz welcomes Sami Zayn to his show. Zayn admits he has been losing a lot lately, but he had an epiphany last night. He says he got caught up in the WWE trap of greed. He says he has realized the right path is to help other people. Miz asks who he wants to help, and Sami says he has someone backstage who fits the bill. Shinsuke Nakamura's music hits and he heads to the ring.

Sami gives a rant about Nakamura not being able to properly express himself. Miz tries to talk to Shin but the IC champ just points to Sami. It ends with Nakamura taking Miz down with a kick and a Kinshasa. Nakamura keeps attacking him until Zayn tells him to stop.



Elias vs. Kevin Owens (KOTR Round 1)

Elias won thanks to the involvement of Shane and advances in the KOTR.



Now we're about to find out who Bryan and Rowan have backstage 
and, it’s just some dude with a red beard. Reigns just looks confused at the situation and this ends the show.

SmackDown Live


Kevin Owens comes out at the top of the show and the fans chant his name before he can speak. He eventually talks about his match against Shane McMahon and says SummerSlam will be a night he will remember forever.

Owens moves on to the King of The Ring tourney and says he will win it and cement his name in history. Shane McMahon comes out and Owens collapses out of frustration. He and Owens exchange the usual insults.

Shane fines Owens 100K for hitting Elias, who was an official, with a steel chair. KO protests but Shane says he won't reverse the fine.



Charlotte Flair vs. Ember Moon

Bryan and Rowan come out after the break to address the accusations against them. Bryan says someone is out to get Roman Reigns but claims they had nothing to do with the attacks. Bryan says society is the problem and lies spread through social media.

Kevin Owens vs. Samoa Joe

Elias pulls the ref out of the ring. Joe rolls up Owens and Elias makes the fast count to give Joe the win


Rowan and Bryan are now confronting Buddy Murphy backstage, trying to intimidate him into admitting that he lied about Rowan attacking Reigns.

Rowan got impatient and just starts beating the crap out of him.

Murphy "admits" that he lied.

Daniel Bryan says he doesn't like liars.

Murphy gets tossed across the room.


Randy Orton comes out and says Kofi took the easy way out at SummerSlam. He suggests he and Kofi join the tag match with New Day and Revival to make it a six-man. Kingston accepts the challenge.

After a post-match brawl, Orton ends up hitting Kofi with the RKO to be the last man standing. Instead of continuing to attack Kingston, Orton grabs Woods and hits another RKO. Dawson and Wilder help him hit another on Big E before Orton grabs Kofi to deliver one final RKO to end the show. 
As we get near the last few minutes of the show, Roman Reigns confronts Bryan and Rowan backstage. Bryan and Rowan insist that Reigns apologize. Bryan and Rowan insist they know who attacked Reigns and they'll let everyone know next week.
