SmackDown Live


Kevin Owens comes out at the top of the show and the fans chant his name before he can speak. He eventually talks about his match against Shane McMahon and says SummerSlam will be a night he will remember forever.

Owens moves on to the King of The Ring tourney and says he will win it and cement his name in history. Shane McMahon comes out and Owens collapses out of frustration. He and Owens exchange the usual insults.

Shane fines Owens 100K for hitting Elias, who was an official, with a steel chair. KO protests but Shane says he won't reverse the fine.



Charlotte Flair vs. Ember Moon

Bryan and Rowan come out after the break to address the accusations against them. Bryan says someone is out to get Roman Reigns but claims they had nothing to do with the attacks. Bryan says society is the problem and lies spread through social media.

Kevin Owens vs. Samoa Joe

Elias pulls the ref out of the ring. Joe rolls up Owens and Elias makes the fast count to give Joe the win


Rowan and Bryan are now confronting Buddy Murphy backstage, trying to intimidate him into admitting that he lied about Rowan attacking Reigns.

Rowan got impatient and just starts beating the crap out of him.

Murphy "admits" that he lied.

Daniel Bryan says he doesn't like liars.

Murphy gets tossed across the room.


Randy Orton comes out and says Kofi took the easy way out at SummerSlam. He suggests he and Kofi join the tag match with New Day and Revival to make it a six-man. Kingston accepts the challenge.

After a post-match brawl, Orton ends up hitting Kofi with the RKO to be the last man standing. Instead of continuing to attack Kingston, Orton grabs Woods and hits another RKO. Dawson and Wilder help him hit another on Big E before Orton grabs Kofi to deliver one final RKO to end the show. 
As we get near the last few minutes of the show, Roman Reigns confronts Bryan and Rowan backstage. Bryan and Rowan insist that Reigns apologize. Bryan and Rowan insist they know who attacked Reigns and they'll let everyone know next week.

Great show and matches as we are on the road to Clash of Champions.

SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with a video package recapping what happened last week.


Shane McMahon says that the RAW Reunion was great and that he was glad not to see Kevin Owens. He addresses Kevin Owens' SummerSlam challenge.



Shane accepts the challenge and then he plays a clip of Owens quitting in 2018 before Owens came out and said that was a very dark time in his life. He said that’s not who he is now, but he won’t have to quit at SummerSlam because he will beat the holy hell out of Shane. Then McMahon booked Owens in a match against Roman Reigns tonight.

Nakamura attacks Apollo Crews after the match. 






The Miz is out after the break for another episode of MizTV. He shows a video package of highlights from Raw.


Miz brings out Shawn Michaels as his guest for the night. HBK looks like he loves hearing the fans cheer for him again. He talks about going from being a young guy in the back to being one of the legends on Raw Reunion.


Before long, Dolph Ziggler's music hits and he comes out to the ring. He says everyone has seen enough of legends limping their way to the ring. He says HBK was an embarrassment when he returned to the ring at Super Show-Down. Michaels agrees with him but says Ziggler should be more embarrassed to be known as a Shawn Michaels wannabe.


The segment ends with Ziggler superkicking Michaels.



Charlotte Flair vs. Ember Moon


Ember Moon won thanks to the distraction of Bayley.


Ember throws Bayley back in the ring to get booted by Charlotte! Ember then hits an eclipse on Charlotte and then on Bayley! She stands tall heading into her women’s title match against Bayley at SummerSlam.



Kofi Kingston comes to the ring after the break and issues a SummerSlam challenge to Randy Orton. He asks The Viper to come to the ring instead of attacking him from behind. Orton's music hits and he walks down the aisle.

Kofi shows some footage of their feud from almost 10 years ago and says he should have stepped up back then and Orton used his influence to hold him down. They talk a little more trash before agreeing to the match at SummerSlam.



Kofi Kingston vs. Samoa Joe

Orton runs in to hit an RKO on Kingston. Kofi manages to avoid it and they have a standoff. Orton hits Joe with the RKO and Kofi hits Orton with Trouble in Paradise.



Kayla Braxton asks Finn Balor how he got in the crosshairs of Bray Wyatt. A rather shaken Finn Balor is unable to understand any of Wyatt's action. Balor says he's stared fear in the eyes before. He challenges Finn Balor to a match at SummerSlam. And suddenly, Firefly Fun House? Bray Wyatt says that Mercy and he are big fans of Finn Balor for his bravery. The Fiend? Not such a big fan. The Fiend accepts his challenge and Wyatt asks "Let me in"





Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens (with Drew McIntyre as special guest referee, Elias as special guest timekeeper and Shane McMahon as special guest announcer)

After some trash talking, Reigns and Owens lock up. Drew makes them separate in the corner as any ref would. KO and Reigns wrestle back to the corner and Drew gets between them again. Reigns decks McIntyre in the face and Owens knocks Elias off the apron. KO and Reigns corner Shane but McIntyre come help. Shane starts directing traffic in the ring while his boys do the dirty work.

Reigns and Owens eventually turn the tables and end the show standing tall after hitting Shane with a Stunner and Superman Punch.

SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with a recap of Kevin Owens' recent campaign against Shane McMahon.

Shane McMahon is shown giving Owens the night off before we go to the arena to see a lot of Superstars standing on the stage for Shane McMahon's town hall.

Shane asks who wants to go first and Roman Reigns steps up to the mic. He says nobody respects Shane and walks away. Charlotte says Reigns was out of line and she thanks Shane for being supportive of her family. Liv Morgan tells her to stop being phony and asks if there is anything real about her.

Shane starts talking about all the people Owens mentioned last week as being underused. Murphy says he doesn't need help from Owens. Apollo Crews says he agrees with KO. Zelina Vega says Crews is just trying to kiss up to the fans. She challenges Apollo to face Andrade tonight. This is going nowhere fast.

The New Day has their mic cut off when Kofi says Shane is keeping people down. Shane ends the town hall but Cesaro has something to say. He says he wants another match with Aleister Black. Shane books it.

Kevin Owens comes out of the crowd and hits Shane with a Stunner.

Ember Moon and Bayley vs. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose

Charly interviews the winners after the match and Bayley says she wants to defend the title against Moon. The crowd cheers and Moon accepts.


The New Day comes out after the break to celebrate having the WWE  Title and Tag Team Titles. Big E says they will give Bryan and Rowan a rematch. Bryan's music hits and they walk onto the stage.

Bryan comes out with a mic and teases saying something before he walks to the back. He comes back out and does the same thing again. He comes out a third time, drops the mic and leaves.

Samoa Joe comes out and says he deserves another WWE title shot. Elias interrupts and says he should get the title shot. This brings out Randy Orton. The New Day suggests a six-man tag match. After talking some trash, Orton agrees, and they head to the ring.

IIconics intentionally get counted out so they can retain their titles. Asuka and Sane get angry and attack The IIconics after the match. Paige stands with them in the ring as Kay and Royce retreat up the ramp.

Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler

Shane McMahon comes out flanked by several WWE Superstars. They surround the ring and prepare for an attack. Ziggler hits the Zig-Zag for a two count. Dolph rams him into the ring post twice. KO blocks a superkick and hits the Stunner. Shane pulls him out of the ring and KO hits him with a Stunner. He runs up the ramp to escape as the other wrestlers give chase.
Kayla tries to interview Shane as he recovers, and he says Owens is going to pay dearly as the show goes off the air.

SmackDown Live


We see a video from earlier in the day when Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler arrived at SmackDown. They argue until KO throws a punch and it turns into a brawl. Several people are needed to break them up. Shane is shown kicking Owens out for the night. Owens has a bloody lip from the fight.


When we go live in the arena, Owens is shown dressed as a crew member. He grabs a mic and rants about his current position in WWE. He brings up the McMahon family promising to listen to the fans only to see Shane gain more and more power. Shane comes out and has his mic cut but he grabs another one. KO says Shane calling himself the best in the world is an insult to every wrestler.


Owens says Shane is taking up TV time instead of giving it to guys like Murphy, Ali, Asuka and Kairi Sane. Owens escapes through the crowd when Shane sends people after him.

After a quick promo from Samoa Joe, Nikki Cross comes to the ring for her contract signing with Bayley.



Bayley and Nikki Cross sit in the ring across from each other and Bayley says that she is glad that Alexa Bliss did not show up. Bayley says that she is a lot like Nikki as she was star-struck when she first came to the main roster. 

Bayley reminds Cross that she attacked her last night.

Bayley asks her if she is sure of what she is doing but Cross says she's old enough to make her own decisions. 

Cross says that Bayley has no idea about her and asks her to stick around for her match with Carmella.

Big E and Xavier Woods come out to deliver a promo. They are quickly interrupted by Daniel Bryan's entrance music.

Daniel Bryan and Rowan come out and say that much like they destroyed Woods and Big E last week, they are going to do the same to them again. Woods questions Rowan, asking him why he always comes out with a new leader - Bray, Harper, and now Bryan - and asks him who his daddy is.


Tucker and Otis interrupt Bryan and Rowan and remind them how they took them to the limit at Stomping Grounds.


Tucker says that the New Day will have to wait to be 6-time Champions, as Otis says they are going to be the new WWE Tag Team Champions while gyrating his hips.

Aleister Black is interviewed about Extreme Rules next to an empty chair. Eventually, Cesaro sits down to reveal he is the man who will face Black at Extreme Rules.



Dolph Ziggler vs. Roman Reigns

Owens comes out of nowhere and hits Shane with a Stunner. Reigns counters the Zig Zag and hits a Spear for the pin and the win.



The show ends with Roman Reigns celebrating his win.

SmackDown Live


Shane McMahon opens SmackDown Live and of course he makes Greg Hamilton do his usual introductions.


Shane brings up how Reigns attacked his father last week and replays the segment. He says it was disgusting to watch Reigns punch his father and compares it to someone disgracing the American flag. Shane says there will be repercussions and lists off some of his possible punishments. He orders Roman to come to the ring to face the music.


Reigns gets into the ring and it looks like Shane is ready to fight him right away. Elias provides a distraction so Shane can gain an advantage on The Big Dog. He and Elias assault Reigns and beat him down in the middle of the ring. Roman tries to fight them off to no avail. Elias hits Drift Away before he and Shane head to the back together.




Finn Balor vs. Andrade Cien Almas

Elias is backstage performing a song in which he challenges Roman Reigns to a match at Money in the Bank. He then leaves with Shane in his limbo.



Kairi Sane vs. Peyton Royce

As Chad Gable heads to the ring to face Mahal, Lars Sullivan attacks him from behind. The big man gets into the ring and stares at Mahal. Jinder runs for the hills but the Singhs suffer the wrath of Sullivan. R-Truth comes to the ring to fight the man who attacked him last week, but Sullivan easily puts him down again with one slam. Lars picks him up for a running powerbomb before he poses for the crowd.




Roman Reigns accepts the challenge from Elias.




Charlotte Flair comes out after the break for her confrontation with Becky Lynch.


Flair brings up how she never lost at WrestleMania and blames Rousey for losing both of their titles to Becky. This brings out The Man to respond.


Charlotte says she is next in line after Lacey Evans. Becky says Flair needs to clear the way for some new opponents. She says Charlotte needs to work her way back up from the bottom again before Bayley comes out to voice her opinion.


Bayley makes her way to the ring and says that although the Superstar Shakeup is about fresh starts, we're seeing a re-run. Bayley reminds Becky that she's never beaten her.


Charlotte tells Bayley to get at the back of the line. Bayley tells Charlotte to earn her opportunity and challenges her to a match and knocks her mic out of her hand.

Charlotte Flair won and gets a feature women’s championship opportunity. 

Becky is interviewed backstage, and reveals that she will face Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title and Lacy Evans for the RAW Women’s Title at Money in the Bank and at the end of Money in the Bank she will still be Becky Two Belts.


Kofi Kingston vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Kofi misses Trouble in Paradise but manages to hit the SOS. Rusev breaks up the pin to cause a DQ. Woods and Big O come in to make the save and send them packing. Right after Kofi takes down Nakamura with Trouble in Paradise, Owens nails him with a superkick. The crowd boos as KO rips off his New Day shirt and proceeds to beat down the WWE Champion.

After he finishes delivering a beating, Owens grabs the WWE title and poses with it while stepping on Kofi's head. He taunts Kingston and says he is going to take the WWE title from him. Kingston hits him a few times but Owens stomps him into the mat without mercy. Woods saves Kofi from taking a powerbomb onto the apron, but Owens manages to take him down, too. KO grabs Woods and hits the apron powerbomb on him instead.



The show ends with Owens leaving while Kofi and Woods try to recover.

SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with Daniel Bryan heading to the ring with Rowan by his side. Bryan doesn't say anything and simply motions to the big screen so we can watch a video package.

The video package shows all of the recent events surrounding the WWE title and Kofi Kingston. Bryan says he stayed silent last week while everyone else gushed about Kofi. Chants for Kofi almost drown out Bryan's voice. Rowan tries and fails to get the crowd to shut up.

Bryan gets in a few digs at The New Day before talking about Kevin Owens. He says the people like KO because he is just like all of us, and that is why he doesn't deserve a title shot. Owens' music hit and he walks out on the stage.

Owens says it was hard to watch Bryan act like he was above everyone else while he was injured. Owens is clearly going for a babyface character right now. He says he speaks for the entire WWE Universe when he says Bryan deserves to have his mouth shut. He says Bryan acts like he is enlightened while making lowbrow jokes.

Owens admits he has lost friends due to his own actions, but he didn't need any friends to beat Bryan with a Stunner last week. Owens takes out Rowan before going after Bryan. Rowan comes back in and takes KO down with his palm slam.



The Usos give a promo to hype their upcoming tag title match against McMiz at Fastlane. The Miz and Shane give their own speech before this match begins. The Usos try to rush them and get sent out of the ring by the former champions as we head to a break.

R- Truth hosts a Open Challenge for the United States Championship

R-Truth comes out and says he wants to be like his childhood hero, John Cena. He says John used to do open challenges every week and he isn't sure he can do the same thing.

Samoa Joe comes down to answer the U.S. open challenge, but he is followed closely by Rey Mysterio and Andrade. It looks like we have a Fatal 4-Way for the title.

The Bar vs. Aleister Black and Ricochet

Rusev and Nakamura ambush Black and Ricochet after the match and The Hardy Boyz come out to make the save. They help clear the ring and celebrate with Black & Ricochet.



Naomi vs. Mandy Rose

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville retreat up the ramp and Asuka comes from behind and attacks them. 





Backstage, AJ Styles says Owens was in a lose-lose opportunity. Styles says Kingston deserves a title shot. Orton walks in and asks Styles if he is seriously taking time to talk about how someone else deserves a title shot? Orton tells Styles that he knows why it took Styles 15 years to get here




Kevin Owens vs. Erick Rowan

Bryan taunts Owens from the commentary table and KO attacks him. Rowan intervenes and sends Kevin into the steel steps. He flattens Owens and Bryan gets on top of him to deliver some punches, causing a disqualification in the process. Rowan delivers a body slam on the floor.

After the match, Rowan and Bryan beat down Owens. Mustafa Ali hits the ring and makes the save. Bryan surprises Ali with the running knee. Owens hits the Stunner on Bryan.




Charlotte heads to the ring after the break to have a talk with Becky Lynch before their match on Sunday. Becky comes out and says it's good to be back on SmackDown. She claims she is in Charlotte and Ronda's head and that she is still there after Rousey gave her the best she had last night. She says she has beaten Charlotte on one good leg and she will do it again on Sunday.

Charlotte kicks out the crutch from Becky's hand and starts attacking her injured knee. Lynch turns things around and locks in the DisArmHer. A few officials come to break up the fight.
SmackDown ends with Becky talking trash from the ring while Charlotte leaves up the ramp.

Rating 90/90:  Pretty exciting show and matches as we get closer to WWE Fastlane and as we look forward to WrestleMania.

RAW

Kurt Angle comes out at the top of the show to loud "You Suck" chants from the crowd.
Sunil Singh comes out and interrupts Angle so he can introduce the newest member of the Raw roster, Jinder Mahal
Mahal seems angry he wasn't brought to the arena in a limo and claims he is better than every Superstar on Raw. He says he expects the same perks Brock Lesnar receives. Angle tells Jinder to prove his worth and asks who in back would like to face Mahal for the U.S. title right now. Jeff Hardy answers the call.

Jeff Hard won and is the New United States Champion.

Sasha Banks vs. Bayley
The Riott Squad run into the ring and break up the hold to cause a disqualification. They take turns beating on Banks and Bayley.

Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. Authors of Pain
Authors of Pain won.

The Miz wastes no time in welcoming Raw's two newest Superstars, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. They come out with big smiles on their faces and hug The Miztourage when they get in the ring.

The Miz says the group of Superstars in the ring is bigger than the NWO and The Avengers. It seems like WWE is making them a stable. Kurt Angle's music hits and he comes out to say KO and Zayn are not on Raw because they both lost last week. Owens and Zayn tell him things have changed and they read an email saying they are going to be rehired by Stephanie McMahon.
Angle welcomes Zayn and Owens to Raw, but tells them to say goodbye to The Miz because Daniel Bryan pulled some strings to get him moved to SmackDown. Angle gives him more bad news when he says Axel and Dallas aren't going with him.


The Revival vs. Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt (Tag Team Eliminator)
Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt won and will be facing The Bar at the Greatest Roysl Rumble for the Tag Team Titles

Tyler Breeze and Fandango are shown giving The Bar some fashion tickets for their kilts and Sheamus' mohawk. Breezango has arrived on RAW.

Ronda Rousey is shown talking to Kurt Angle backstage about what happened at WrestleMania. He warns her about Stephanie being smart before someone knocks and Natalya walks in. It looks like The Queen of Harts is the newest member of the Raw roster.

Dolph Ziggler comes out as the newest member of the Raw roster. He says a lot of things have changed but he is still the best wrestler to ever walk down the aisle. For some reason, Titus Worldwide interrupts him.
Titus tries to get Dolph to join his stable. Ziggler is not interested and says he is not here alone. Drew McIntyre comes out of nowhere and takes out Titus and Apollo.
Ziggler and McIntyre destory Titus Worldwide before leaving the ring to loud chants of approva from the WWE Universe.


Reigns heads to the ring after the break to a loud chorus of boos. He surveys the crowd for a moment before saying he will defeat Lesnar and return as a full-time universal champion. He is quickly interrupted by Samoa Joe.
Joe reminds Reigns that he has lost to Lesnar every time he has faced him and says he won't learn until somebody puts him down for good. He promises to retired The Big Dog at Backlash. Joe plays a video showing all of the times Lesnar has destoryed Roman.
Reigns dares Joe to come fight him and Joe teases getting in the ring twice before finally turning around and leaving for good.

Natalya vs. Mandy Rose
Natalya won
Deville attacks Natalya from behind, but Rousey comes out to make the save.

Baron Corbin is now on RAW.

Breezango vs. The Bar
Breezango won

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and The Miz and Miztourage vs. Seth Rollins and Finn Balor and Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley and Bobby Roode

Axel and Dallas refuse to make the tag and face Strowman. Strowman scoops up Miz for a powerslam to get the pin and the win.

Pretty great show and matches tonight. I can’t wait to see what happens on SmackDown tomorrow night.
