SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with Renee Young welcoming WWE champion AJ Styles to the ring.
Styles talks about how he controls his own destiny, but a Fatal 5-Way is also very unpredictable. He talks about how he doesn't have to be involved in the decision to lose the title. He lists off things he would like to do to the other competitors in the match like putting them through tables or throwing them into the ring steps.
Baron Corbin comes out and says AJ may be a great athlete, but he isn't the same kind of fighter Corbin is. Before long, Kevin Owens joins them to add his two cents to the conversation. Corbin brags about beating KO last week.
Owens says Corbin's title shot was handed to him while he had to fight for it. Styles gets under Owens' skin by calling Sami Zayn a boil he had to have lanced off his back. Surprisingly, Shane McMahon comes out
Shane books Owens to battle Dolph Ziggler right now.

Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler

Kevin Owens won thanks from the distraction from Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens took advantage of the distraction and got the win.

Jinder Mahal comes out after the break to "expose" a secret of Bobby Roode's. He claims Roode voted to put himself in the top spot of the SmackDown Top 10, which isn't really a huge surprise. Jinder reminds us that neither he nor Randy Orton is in the top 10. This brings out the U.S. champ to offer a response.

Roode says not only could Jinder not make the top 10, but he can't win a fair fight. Mahal wants Roode to admit he thinks he is better than Orton and Roode says he never said that. Roode tells him to forget about Orton because this is between the two of them. Of course, Orton has to come out and issue his own statement.
Orton and Roode work together to take out Mahal, and then Randy tries to hit the RKO. Roode sees it coming and counters with a Glorious DDT. As his music starts to play, Jinder comes in and hits the Khalas.
