SmackDown Live

After Paige hypes some of the matches set for tonight's show, Carmella skips her way to the ring to celebrate retaining her title on Sunday against Asuka.

Carmella gets serious and says she wants to be real. She talks about having self-confidence issues when she was young and how hard it was to get past it. She says once she valued herself, she became a champion. Then she turns it around and laughs at the idea of her having self-confidence issues. She says she has been moonwalking since she was in diapers.

Carmella touts her victories over Asuka and Charlotte and claims she did it all by herself. She is getting major heat from the crowd until Asuka's music hits and everyone cheers for The Empress of Tomorrow. It becomes pretty obvious right away that it's actually James Ellsworth in the outfit under a mask. He takes off the mask and hugs Carmella. He grabs the mic and says nobody was ready for him, especially Asuka.

Ellsworth says he is back to serve the greatest woman in history. He calls her better than several legends like Lita and Trish, and he even says she is better than Mother Teresa and Beyonce. The real Asuka comes out and walks the ring with a purpose. She gets in the ring and prepares for a fight. Ellsworth steps up and takes a kick to the gut. Carmella hits a superkick before grabbing Ellsworth and leaving the ring.

The Miz vs. Rusev
Rusev won and will be facing AJ Styles at Extreme Rules for the WWE Championship.
AJ Styles comes out to the ring after the match to lay the title down like a line in the sand to show he is not afraid of Rusev. They stare at each other before shaking hands. English does a fake out  with a handshake, so Styles lays him out. Rusev doesn't retaliate and lets AJ leave to end the show.

Rating 80/80
Great show and matches as we look forward to Extreme Rules.
