SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with a tribute to those we lost on 9/11 before Jeff Hardy makes his way to the ring for the first match of the night.  Hardy says he has beaten his demons before, but he will face his most venomous demon inside Hell in a Cell. Once he is done, Shinsuke Nakamura heads to the ring.

Jeff Hardy vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Randy Orton comes out of nowhere and shoves him off the top turnbuckle down to the floor. He grabs Jeff by the head and slams him into the steel steps several times. The Viper grabs a chair and tees off on Hardy. Jeff is able to turn the tables and hit a Swanton Bomb to end the segment.

WWE plays a video of AJ Styles talking about his feud with Samoa Joe in an empty arena. The crowd watches in silence as he talks about what he is going to do to Joe at Hell in a Cell. Charlotte Flair vs. Sonya Deville Charlotte Flair won Becky Lynch attacks Charlotte from the crowd while dressed as a fan. She puts Charlotte in the DisArmHer until a couple of refs make her break the hold.

Story time with Samoa Joe which pretty much is saying that he is guranted to give AJ Styles nightmares come HIAC.

The Bar vs. Rusev Day (Winner faces The New Day at HIAC for the SDLive Tag Team Titles)
Rusev Day won and will face New Day at HIAC for the SDLive Tag Team Titles.

R- Truth vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas
Andrade "Cien" Almas won

Brie Bella vs. Maryse
Brie grabs a mic and calls her a coward. Miz grabs his own mic and yells at Brie that his wife is too good for her. He says Lafayette doesn't deserve this match and declares it over. The It Couple tries to leave, but Brie chases after Maryse and drags her back to the ring. She eventually puts on the Yes Lock. Miz yanks Brie out of the ring and Bryan goes after him like a man possessed. Miz ends up throwing Bryan into Brie at ringside and she goes down hard. Miz attacks him from behind and throws him into the steel steps. Bryan and Brie recover and take their rivals down. Brie punches Miz in the face and Bryan clotheslines him out of the ring. The show ends with a Yes chant. Rating 80/80: Great show and matches as we look forward to HIAC
