SmackDown Live

AJ Styles makes his way to the ring at the top of the show. The crowd chants his name until he decides to start talking. Everyone says his catchphrase about SmackDown being the house he built along with him. AJ brags about beating Kevin Owens and says he is the workhorse of WWE. He announces a United States open challenge.
Kevin Owens comes out and AJ says he won’t face him because he already beat him on Sunday. Owens says he was screwed by a McMahon just like Bret Hart was. Shane makes his way to the ring to defend his officiating. He says he kept his promise to call the match down the middle and Styles won fair and square.
Owens says Shane counted to three at one point and it should have led to him being champion. KO is getting really angry and gets right up in Shane’s face. McMahon says he is willing to give Kevin another title shot tonight and Owens demands the right to pick the referee because he keeps getting screwed by officials. Shane agrees, but says this is the last time KO will get a title shot for as long as AJ is champion.

Natalya is out after the break to celebrate her Women's Championship win at SummerSlam.

Natalya says SummerSlam will forever be known as the night the glow was unplugged. She promises she will be champion forever. Carmella comes out to serve as her tag team partner, which should create an interesting dynamic with her holding the MITB briefcase. James Ellsworth and Carmella insult Nattie despite teaming with her during the next match. Carmella says she let Natalya have her moment at SummerSlam and she will strike when the time is right. Even Ellsworth points out how Carmella could always choose not to tag in and let Natalya get beaten so she can cash in her briefcase tonight.

AJ Styles (c) vs. KO for the US Title w/ Baron Corbin as the referee

Shane McMahon runs down to the ring and yells at Baron for taking a shot at Styles. Owens hits AJ with a low blow while Corbin argues with Shane. Baron gets down to count and Shane pulls him from the ring. The Lone Wolf gets in Shane's face and takes off the ref shirt before leaving. McMahon puts it on and Owens has a fit.
AJ Styles retained the US Title
The show ends with Owens looking as mad as we have ever seen him while AJ holds the U.S. title high above his head.
Last chance for KO while AJ is champ (about time, tried of seeing them fight)

Rating 70/70

Decent show and matches.
