Vince McMahon makes a rare appearance to open the show and welcome Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to the ring to make a historic announcement. Most of the roster is on the stage for this.

Before they make the announcement, Triple H says he wants to acknowledge all of the Superstars across all of the brands and anyone who has ever stepped into a WWE ring and then he talks about the bonds and trust formed between Superstars who work together in the ring. Then he asks all of the women to step forward on the stage.

Stephanie says things only happen if the fans want it to happen and that is why the women's division has grown so much over the past few years. Stephanie announces all women's PPV called Evolution with upwards of 50 Superstars competing that night.

He says his kids are afraid for him now because of what Braun did, so he vows to take everything away from Strowman. The show opens with Kurt Angle making his way to the ring.
Angle talks about Triple H sucker punching him last week and he calls out The Game. Stephanie comes out instead and Angle looks furious. She says Triple H isn't even there tonight.
Stephanie says Angle has an expensive life due to having kids and both an ex and current wife. She says it was Angle's fault that Rousey put Triple H through a table and Angle had the sucker punch coming. Rousey's music hits and she makes her way to the ring with a smile on her face.
Ronda says she is starting to realize how things really work in WWE. Stephanie says she should be grateful for everything she has, including having her debut match at WrestleMania. Rousey says her contract said she could pick her opponent for WrestleMania and she wants to face Stephanie. Triple H comes out before Stephanie can answer.
Angle says because Stephanie has a contract as a WWE Superstar she has to face Rousey at WrestleMania. Then he says Triple H has a contract, too, so this will be a tag match with Rousey and Angle taking on McMahon and Triple H. Stephanie  tries to slap Kurt, but Rousey grabs her arm to block. Triple H tries to punch Angle but Angle  sees it coming and gets him on the mat in an Ankle Lock. Triple H kicks him away while Stephanie attacks Rousey from behind. The Miz and Miztourage are in the ring after the break for the 3rd Mizzie Awards.
The Worst Decision by a General Manager goes to Kurt Angle, who was the only nominee. Miz says he is too busy sucking up to Rousey to accept the award. The next award is the Lifetime Achievement Mizzies, and he gives it to himself. Before he can actually say it, Rollins interrupts.
Rollins is soon joined by Balor on the stage. The Miz lays into Balor for claiming he's over but not having the success to back it up. He challenges Balor and Rollins to take on the whole Miztourage in a handicap match. They accept.

Heyman gets a little fired up as he talks about Lesnar being the man. He promises to bring Lesnar next week just in case Reigns wants to respond in person. Heyman ends by saying he will see Roman next week, but then Reigns' music hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Reigns gets in Heyman's face and tells him to pick up the title and show it some respect. He says he thought Brock would be a man and show up tonight, but he sent Heyman instead. He tells Heyman to make sure Lesnar comes prepared to fight next week.

SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens up with a video showing a few highlights from the WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view on Sunday.

Bryan starts by talking about the Women's Royal Rumble match Stephanie announced last night. He calls it a turning point in WWE history. After he announced the six-man tag match for tonight, Shane McMahon makes his way out to discuss what happened on Sunday.

Shane starts talking about what happened at The Clash. He says he knows Bryan falling on him was an accident, but what wasn't an accident was him choosing not to count Orton's shoulders down when Sami had him pinned. Remembering what happened to his father at the hands of Owens made him stop the count. Then Bryan did a fast count for Zayn when he rolled up Orton and Shane wants to know why. Bryan says it was to protect Shane from himself.

Bryan says he believes in Shane's vision for SmackDown as a land of opportunity, but only if it's for everyone and not just the people Shane likes. Bryan says he wants their shared vision to come true, but if Shane wants to fire someone, it should be him because he doesn't want to see Shane turn into Mr. McMahon. Shane says he trusts Bryan and wishes him luck with the show tonight before leaving.
