WWE Payback Predictions

Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback for the United States Championship

I think Kalisto retains, but maybe Ryback will surprise us all and come the champion again.

I wish that they did more feuds and promos leading up to this match like the other matches.


Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

I think AJ Styles will become the New WHC, because I honestly think he will make a great champion not to say reigns isn't but it just would be awesome to see him as the WHC but what about Gallows and Anderson, how will they play part in this match, will they close a interference in the match but then again it would close a Disqualification but then there is the Usos, will they be involved also? but here is he big question will Seth Rollins return a WWE Payback, and we see that feud, so there is tons of questions and I guess will see Sunday, for WWE Payback.


Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho

Dean Ambrose wins


Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens

This one is hard because both of these men are awesome in the ring, and I most enjoyed their feud and storyline but also promos leading up to this match.

But, I am going to go with Sami Zayn as the winner.


Charlotte (c)  w/ Ric Flair  vs. Natalya w/ Bret Hart for The Woman's Championship

I am hoping Natalya wins and becomes the New Woman's Champion, I think she will be an awesome woman's champion.

I just wish it was just the two of them fighting for this championship, and no one at ring side o close distraction for this incredible match between two great superstars.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs The Vaudevillians to determine the #1 contender to the WWE Tag Team Titles

Enzo Amore and Big Cass wins and become the #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin wins.

The Miz (c) with/ Maryse vs. Cesaro for the IC Title

The Miz retains, but I think the reason being is that Maryse causes some type of distraction and allow him to get the victory but then again this could help cesaro come champion as well.


I am looking forward to this Sunday for WWE Payback, seeing the outcome of the matches.

SmackDown

They show what happened on Raw between AJ and Roman.

Roman Reigns starts of SmackDown, talking about how he knows AJ Styles is working with Gallows and Anderson. Miz and Maryse walk out, and Miz tries to say that he deserves recognition for knowing that Gallows and Anderson is more than friends with AJ and that they are working together and that will help AJ come champion but Reigns punched Miz and sent him out of the ring and it leads to a match later in the show. 

Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Kalisto defeated The League of Nations via count out 

Alberto Del Rio and Rusev end up start pushing each other around during the match which closed Alberto Del Rio to leave and walk out and then Sheamus ends up hitting Rusev in the ring and then Rusev walks out also but then Sheamus then was left alone to continue the match but then he finally walks out of the match resulting in a count out. I guess after this we can say League of Nations is over.

League of Nations is shown backstage fighting with each other and Sheamus said that League of Nations is over.

They show a video package for Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens at WWE Payback, which may I add is incredible

Baron Corbin defeated Damien Sandow 

Dean Ambrose first does a promo about Jericho and WWE Payback and that he will be beating Jericho this Sunday, he then welcomes us to the Ambrose Asylum then brings out his guest of first being Natalya and they talk about what will change this Sunday at WWE Payback and Natalya said a lot will change because she will have Bret The Hitman on her side and then Charlotte and Ric Flair came out to the Ambrose Asylum. Both sides cut promos about the build up to WWE Payback this Sunday. They then start each other down and Natalya looking at the Woman's Championship and Natalya standing tall and confident to close the segment.


Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. Social Outcasts w/ The New Day on Commentary

The Vaudevillains scouted their tournament opponents from the stage. 

Enzo & Big Cass won.


Apollo Crews defeated Stardust

R-Truth is backstage with new partner Tyler Breeze, and Goldust is being consoled by Fandango about the news.

They talked about what happened on Raw between Stephanie and Shane and Stephanie telling him that Vince McMahon will decide at WWE Payback who will control on Raw.

After the match, AJ Styles stared each other down and then Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson came down and attacked Roman Reigns, but The Usos made the save.  An then Luke gallows and Karl Anderson and The Usos go at it and then both roman and Aj was about to fight but Roman put him out of the ring and then Aj was going to come back but then Roman was gonna superman punch him but AJ got off the ropes before he was hit, then Roman was holding the championship and AJ styles staring at him and the championship to close the segment and show .

A in memory of Chyna photo started in the beginning before RAW had started.

They showed what happened last week between AJ and Roman.

Shane McMahon opens RAW

He says where going to have new faces, and new matches and have some fun. and then Stephanie McMahon came out and Stephanie takes pride at being from Hartford, where tonight's show is taking place. She says these are her people, which gets a lot of boos.

She says the Hartford government wanted to honor her with a statue, which sounds like a total lie and tells Shane this is his last night running RAW, and this Sunday, Vince will decided who will officially run Monday Night RAW 

Shane asks her to leave, and she refuses, so he asks security to come take her away. She eventually leaves while telling the guards not to lay a hand on her. One of them does, so she slugs him in the face. The other two grab her by the arms and drag her up the ramp.

Shane and the crowd sing na na na na hey hey hey goodbye to her as she leaves. Shane says we will kick things off with AJ Styles.

AJ Styles vs. Sheamus

New Day came out talks about the tag team tournament being sponsored by Booty O's. They also make references to Birdman's interview on The Breakfast Club and Prince. They're interrupted by The Vaudevillains. Simon Gotch and Aiden English cut promos on their way to the ring but once they get in, they're interrupted by Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy.

Enzo and Cass do their introduction. They enter the ring so Enzo can keep it 100 like a hot fever with English. Enzo goes on and fans start the "how you doin?" chant. Big Cass says only one team is leaving Payback the winners and that's them because The Vaudevillains are... SAWFT. Woods then chimes in and says regardless of who wins, The New Day will still be WWE Tag Team Champions because... Big E does the "New Day rocks" chant going as their music hits and they start dancing. The other two teams stare each other down and have words. 

We then go backstage to Gallows and Anderson. They walk out of AJ Styles' dressing room and head to the ring.

They then continue the attack on the uses after the match then Roman comes out for the save.

Dean Ambrose comes out

Ambrose says he was supposed to host The Ambrose Asylum tonight but he told Shane McMahon it's not happening because he's not in the mood after getting laid out last week. Ambrose says he's facing one of the best this Sunday at Payback, Chris Jericho. Ambrose says Jericho has made a good case for himself about being the best in the world but Ambrose is pretty good too. Ambrose says he fights for respect and earns respect. Jericho likes to cheap shot but Ambrose will kick your front door in. Ambrose goes on and calls Jericho to the ring.

Jericho then says he won't fight Ambrose in a dump like Hartford, CT. He says Ambrose should be thanking him because being in the ring with him will elevate Ambrose. 

He wants an apology from Ambrose, so Ambrose says he is sorry Jericho paid so much money for his ugly shoes and he is sorry Y2J walks around wearing a scarf and that he is sorry he has to beat him this Sunday at WWE Payback.

Ambrose goes after Jericho and sends him out of the ring. He slams Jericho's head against the table before ripping it apart. He brings Jericho on the table, but Jericho trips him and makes his face hit the monitor.

He puts Ambrose in the Walls of Jericho on the announce table. Some refs finally manage to get Jericho to break the hold and he stand over Ambrose looking tough standing tall.

Barbon Corbin vs. Zack Ryder will take place this Sunday at WWE Payback 

Damian Sandow vs. Baron Corbin 

match never started, Ziggler came out and attacked Corbin from behind

Maryse and The Miz are in the ring when we return. She starts speaking French to piss everyone off before switching to English to introduce her husband.

Miz mocks anyone who thinks Cesaro will defeat him at Payback and he insults Twitter trolls. He runs down the Cesaro Section until Cesaro comes out to respond.

Cesaro calls The Miz's impression of Robert Deniro a 4/10, which is probably a reference to something Bret Hart said a while back.

Cesaro gives him a chance to take a shot, but Miz and Maryse leave. Miz turns around and tries to attack, but Cesaro propels him into the air and hits an uppercut. Then he grabs Miz and goes for the Swing, but Maryse gets on top of her husband to stop him. 

Reigns and Styles cross paths backstage. Styles says he will win the title at Payback, and Reigns says he must have bought ringside tickets for Gallows and Anderson before walking away. 

Another match that has been officially made for WWE Payback and that is Ryback vs. Kalisto for the United States Championship

Roman vs. Alberto Del Rio

Roman Reigns won

After the bell, 
Anderson and Gallows go into the ring while Reigns was on his knees raising his arm. They attacked Reigns down until AJ Styles runs down. He pulls them off of Reigns and tries to calm them down. They leave the ring and AJ turns around to a Superman punch from Reigns. Gallows then comes back in but Reigns stomps him. Anderson runs back in and Reigns hits him. Gallows takes a Superman punch. Styles with a Phenomenal Forearm on Reigns. Anderson and Gallows recover on the floor as Styles and Reigns are down in the ring. AJ's music hits as he sells the Superman punch and they both try to recover. We go to replays. We come back Gallows and Anderson laughing as Styles and Reigns recover in the ring. RAW goes off the air.

Pretty Great Show leading up to WWE Payback 

SmackDown

They show what happened between AJ Styles and Roman Reigns on Raw but also when Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson attacked Roman Reigns on Raw.

SmackDown opened with a MizTV segment featuring AJ Styles. Miz and Maryse grilled AJ about Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson attacking Roman Reigns on Monday during RAW. AJ continued to claim that he didn't know anything about the attack, but Miz and Maryse insinuated that Styles needs their help to defeat Reigns at Payback. Styles eventually attacked Miz to end the segment.

Ryback defeated U.S. Champion Kalisto 

Dolph Ziggler made his entrance for a match but was laid out by Baron Corbin. Ziggler received the End Of Days from Corbin during the interaction.

AJ Styles defeated The Miz.
The Miz did tried to leave but Anderson and Gallows came out to prevent him from doing so.

Miz demanded an investigation or he wasn't going to leave the area. He said that what happened with Anderson and Gallows earlier proves they are working together with AJ Styles. Shane McMahon then came out and then he got in a fight with Miz after Miz talked down to him and started to push him. McMahon hit a flying back elbow and clotheslined Miz to the outside.(I must've missed this part or it was the talk weather it was on tv or just a exclusive but courteously of WWE's Youtube i seen it and thought i would add this on here)

Sami Zayn and Dean Ambrose took part in an interview segment and joked about a name for themselves as a tag team.

Anderson and Gallows backstage for a interview segment. They again denied that they are working with Styles, and the pair also said that they will be wrestling on RAW Monday night against The Usos.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass came out for a segment. They did a promo back and forth with the Vaudevillains to build toward their match Monday evening that will determined the new number one contenders for the tag team titles.

Elias Samson is seen practicing his guitar backstage. William Regal then sits down next to him and tells him he'll be facing Shinsuke Nakamura next week.

Raw

Dean Ambrose kicks off RAW. He hits the ring for an episode of The Ambrose Asylum and talks about current events. Ambrose introduces his guest and out comes Shane McMahon.  

Ambrose says, Shane brought a clip with him. They air the footage of Shane jumping off the hell in a cell. Ambrose says that watching that made him ask for the first time, “what was that guy thinking”. Shane says that is the greatest complement he has ever gotten. Ambrose asks Shane what are Shane’s goals while he is in charge. Shane says it is all about the WWE fans. He plans on pushing all of the stars that normally wouldn’t be. Names such as AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, and Sasha Banks.

Kevin Owens interrupts and says Shane isn’t fooling him. In his opinion this is the same crap that has been happening for years. It’s just another McMahon mad with power with a vendetta against this generation’s number on star, Kevin Owens. Owens then asks why Shane had him thrown out last week. Shane says, that he had to throw out Owens because he was going to cost Zayn him at a title shot at the WHC. Owens let’s Shane know that Zayn has no business fighting for the world title. Sami Zayn comes out and tells Owens all he does is use people. Deep down Owens knows he would never had made it to the WWE without him. Chris Jericho comes to the ring and says Owens is right. Shane is drunk with power. Shane tells everyone that since there is a lot of tension in the ring that he is going to make the following matches:

Sami vs. Owens and Jericho vs. Ambrose for Payback on May 1st. He also makes Sami vs. Jericho for tonight and then Ambrose vs. Owens for tonight's main event. A brawl between them started and then Sami and Ambrose took over both Owens and Jericho.

Roman Reigns come out and he cuts a promo on AJ Styles and then AJ Styles came out and gives props to Reigns as a champion and as a wrestler. AJ Styles talks about having the match of his life at WWE Payback and it will make him the WWE Champion. Roman Reigns talks about his match of his life at WrestleMania 32 and then Roman says he digs what AJ does in WWE and that they will hate him beating AJ Styles at WWE Payback and then Roman ReignsI would much rather be RESPECTED with THIS, than liked without it! and then AJ said, liked and respected because that's going to make him a better champion then In the middle of his promo Anderson and Gallows come out from the crowd and beat Reigns down. The crowd goes nuts at the beatdown, and Anderson and Gallows leave Reigns laying in the ring.


Borbin Corbin vs. Fandango W/ Dolph Ziggler at commentary 

Borbin Corbin won, he sit Fandango into Ziggler and then Ziggler gets up into the ring and attacks Corbin but it take long for Corbin to take over Ziggler and leave him laying again.


The Miz is out with Maryse for Miz TV. Cesaro is the guest and then the miz says he will beat Cesaro at WWE Payback but they're interrupted by Sheamus, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio. WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day also come out. This leads to a match.

After the match, Jericho ran down and attacked Ambrose, hitting a Codebreaker to end RAW.


Rating: 50/50: Shane did incredible as always and I am liking the look of WWE Payback, it already has a exciting match card.

SmackDown

Miz TV opens SmackDown, hosted by WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz and Maryse. Zack Ryder cuts him off and Miz acts like Ryder will get another title shot, but instead ends up telling Zack he’s booked in a match against Baron Corbin right now. 

Baron Corbin defeated Zack Ryder 

Baron Corbin attacked Zack Ryder after the bell but then Dolph Ziggler ran out for the save.

Emma vs. Paige 

Emma won.

Sami Zayn won via Disqualification thanks to Kevin Owens getting involved and attacking Sami Zayn and then Jericho and Owens both started to attack 

but then Zayn and Ambrose ended up cleaning house after the match to end the show.

William Regal welcomes us to the show through a backstage promo hyping TakeOver: Dallas, and telling us we'll see Ciampa/Gargano vs. Vaudevillains, Bayley and Nakamura tonight.

After the match Bayley tells the crowd that she lost to a better woman at Takeover Dallas.  She will be champion again.

RAW

Shane McMahon opens Raw and is in charge of Raw tonight. 

Shane gets a huge pop from the audience. He then thanks the fans for making Vince McMahon bringing him back.

He talks that he wants to get back to new faces and new matches. He announces Natalya vs. WWE Women's Champion Charlotte with the title on the line and a new tag team tournament to start as well tonight, with the winners facing WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day. He then congratulates AJ Styles  on becoming  #1 contender and announces Styles vs. Sami Zayn for tonight. If Sami wins, it will be Sami vs. Styles vs. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in a Triple Threat at WWE Payback then the crowd gets excited for what is coming and then Kevin Owens interrupted Shane McMahon and came out to complain and say that Sami didn’t deserve a title shot and that he also needed a rematch for his Intercontinental Championship.

Shane said Kevin would have to earn that shot at the IC title and he’d earn it up next by winning in a match against Cesaro.

Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens in a #1 Contender match for the IC Title

Cesaro won and will face The Miz for the IC.

They show us Last week on Raw when Lita formally does a presentation the New Woman's Championship and then Natalya gets face to face with Charlotte and then took a shot at Charlotte took shot at Natalya's family but then Natalya attacks her but then Ric Flair saved her.

Then we see a backstage segment of Charlotte and Ric Flair where Charlotte is complaining as to what she has had to deal with and that she thinks Natalya hasn't did anything to deserve the chance at her title and then Dr. Paul comes into the conversation and tells her that she needs to get on our own two feet and quit using her dad to cheat and to letting him be in her way and then Charlotte walks away and then Ric gets in Dr. Phil's face and was going to woo but Dr. Phil did it in his face before he could and continued to do so tell he walked away.

We see Owens yelling at Shane McMahon about getting screwed. He says whatever happens to Sami Zayn tonight is Shane's fault. Shane says Owens doesn't threaten him, so Shane is having him escorted from the building.

WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day are out. Xavier Woods starts talking how the WWE tag team division is on fire. He says so many teams want a piece of them. Kofi Kingston asks who actually deserves a shot. Big E says we will see as a tournament to crown new #1 contenders begins tonight, sponsored by Booty O's cereal.

Enzo speaks from the stage and does his usual introduction as fans go along with it. Bubba tells Enzo and the fans to shut their mouths. He calls Enzo and Cass young punks. Bubba says they paved the way for guys like Enzo and Cass. D-Von tells them they're not the best tag team in the business and the only reason they exist is because of The Dudley Boyz. Enzo and Cass fire back with promos, ending it with the crowd helping them spell "sawft" at The Dudleyz.

I have to say I am coming a fan of Enzo and Cass, I wouldn't mind them being Tag Champions.

Roman Reigns comes out

He talks about that it is all good because he's not a good guy, he's not a bad guy, he's THE guy. Reigns talks about how he respects both AJ Styles and Sami Zayn for winning titles all over the world but they've never won THE championship. Reigns says he plans on being champion for a long time... he's interrupted by the music and out comes The League of Nations.

Sheamus says Reigns is confident but might not be so confident if he was facing one of The League of Nations at Payback. Reigns isn't intimidated by The League of Nations. Sheamus says they got rid of their weakest link last week pf being Wade Barrett and they're not happy about being left out of the Fatal 4 Way. Rusev says he's stronger and better looking than Reigns, so he should be the face of WWE. Reigns says he just proved he's the ass of WWE. Alberto Del Rio says maybe one of them would have won the Fatal 4 Way last week and any of them can kicks Reigns' ass for the title. Reigns invites them to the ring for a triple beatdown. They rush the ring and go at it until the lights go out. It's The Wyatt Family. They come back on and the two teams start brawling. Reigns and The Wyatt Family clear the ring. An then the wyatt family looked to focus their attention on Roman Reigns and they stare each other down but Shane McMahon interrupted and said he wants to see more of Roman and Bray Wyatt teaming together side by side and tonight for the main event will be Roman Reigns and Wyatt vs. Two members of The League of Nations.

Natalya vs. Charlotte for the Woman's Championship W/ Dr. Phil at ringside to see if Charlotte has taken his advice and be a real championship. 

Natalya won via DQ when Ric Flair pulled the ref out of the ring when Charlotte was tapping out but still champion is Charlotte.

I really hope they do like a Battle Royal or a Tournament for the Woman's Championship to determine the #1 contender to it.

Renee Young is with Sami backstage.  Sami says he spent his entire life getting ready for this opportunity. He says Owens tried to take it away from him but he’s had two things that got him this far – heart and soul, something Owens and all the tables in the world can’t take from him. Sami says hes ready and didn’t come this far to lose. AJ Styles appears for a pop. AJ agrees with what Sami says because he was there all those years. AJ says they’re both finally in WWE but he’s the only #1 contender and he plans on keeping it that way. AJ walks off and we hear fans singing “ole!” to end the segment.

AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn: If Zayn wins the match at WWE Payback for the WHC will become a triple threat and if Styles wins it stays one on one against roman reigns.

AJ Styles won and the match at WWE Payback against Roman Reigns for the WHC will be the same.

This match was insane.

Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel and the guest star is Chris Jericho and he talks all about himself and all the accomplishments and that no one can tough him on the roster and then Dean Ambrose came out with a plant and a sign and then Jericho asks what he is doing here and this is his show and Dean Ambrose said this is show now and gave Chris a memo from Shane McMahon that said Highlight reel is canceled and replaced with Ambrose Asylum.

Ambrose clips on a tie and asks Jericho if it's on straight. Jericho isn't happy. Ambrose welcomes us to The Ambrose Asylum and introduces his first guest, Jericho. Fans then boo and Ambrose asks them not to boo his guests. Ambrose says the whole world wants to know what's up with Jericho's scarf. Jericho says the scarf costs $700 and Ambrose is interrupting him because he interrupted Ambrose on SmackDown. Jericho says he's reached legendary status in WWE and he can do what he wants, say what he wants. If Ambrose was smart, he'd keep his nose clean or Jericho will bury him. Jericho tells Ambrose to look at him when he talks to him. Jericho tells Ambrose to take his stupid ass out of Jericho's ring. Ambrose stares at him and just wants to know about the scarf. Jericho knocks the mic down. Ambrose kicks him and nails Dirty Deeds. Ambrose's clip-on tie falls off but he puts it back on. His music hits and he thanks us for watching his show.

As always, Shane McMahon did awesome and I hope Vince McMahon gets that picture that we fans really do enjoy the change shane has given us and we just hope for him to continue  what he is doing with RAW and the WWE.
