SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with R-Truth and Carmella already in the ring. They are taking over MizTV tonight and they welcome Daniel Bryan as their first guest.
Truth gets a few laughs while asking Bryan some questions about facing The Miz at Super Show-Down. Then Truth and Carmella randomly take a seven-second dance break. After answering a couple of questions, The Miz makes his way out looking very unhappy.
The Miz exchanges some insults with Truth and Bryan until Truth calls for another dance break and The Miz storms off to see Paige. She seems to like TruthTV as much as the crowd, who keeps chanting Truth’s name. Paige says if Miz wants his show back, he can fight for it.

We see an exclusive video of earlier today when Charlotte was doing a photo shoot with WWE and Becky came out of nowhere and attacked her.


Big E vs. Sheamus

Rusev and Lana come out after the break to demand and answer from Aiden English about why he turned on them last week.
English comes out and takes credit for all of Rusev's popularity. He shows a video to prove his point.
English says they were destined to be legends, but Lana got in the way. He blames her for all of their recent issues and plays another video. Lana says English has been riding Rusev's coattails. The crowd chants for Lana, but Aiden calls her a liar and implies they had an affair. He drops the mic and walks off.



Noami and Asuka vs. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose

Tye Dillinger vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Randy Orton appears out of nowhere and attacks Dillinger to cause a DQ.
We see Nakamura also take out Dillinger before leaving the arena.


Orton says he attacked Dillinger because his whole Perfect 10 gimmicks pisses him off.



Becky Lynch vs. Lana

Paige is in the ring after the break to oversee the contract signing with AJ and Joe for the WWE Championship Match at Super Show Down.

Joe comes on the big screen and reveals he is actually at AJ's house. AJ tries to plead with him to leave his family alone, but Joe just laughs at him. 

The show ends with Joe ringing AJ's doorbell.

RAW


After a new opening video package, Baron Corbin is shown greeting Stephanie McMahon as she steps out of a limo. He tries to sing Happy Birthday to her until Triple H steps out of the car. She questions his decision to put himself in a title match last week and his ability to lead. She tells him to find two tag team partners to battle The Shield tonight.


When we go live to the arena, The Shield heads to the ring through the crowd. Ambrose gets things started by talking about The Shield being the three best workhorses in WWE.


Reigns starts to talk and the crowd immediately boos him. He puts over himself and Rollins as the top champions on Raw. Rollins talks about Braun Strowman trying to take them out by aligning with Ziggler and McIntyre. They call out Corbin and he comes out with Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre.



McIntyre and Ziggler try to tell Ambrose he would be better off without The Shield. They actually make a few good points. Roman tells them to stop talking and start fighting, but Corbin tells them the fight won't happen right now. He says Drew and Dolph are already booked tonight, but he has other partners to rely on.


Bayley accompanies Finn Balor to the ring for his match against Jinder Mahal, who will have Alicia Fox in his corner.

Stephanie and Triple H appear in the ring to talk about a new partnership with Hyundai to help fight pediatric cancer. Then Stephanie introduces the kids who have helped with a recent set of events put on by the company for the charity.

Carter and Elizabeth are presented with special title belts by Triple H and Stephanie as the crowd chants "You deserve it."

Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre vs. The Revival for the RAW Tag Team Titles.

Elias is out after the break, but he doesn't want to perform. Instead, he introduces Kevin Owens so he can host a segment of his talk show.

KO invites Lio Rush to the ring so he can get to know him better. Rush doesn't want to get in the ring because he knows he will be attacked. Elias pulls out a booster seat for Lio as a joke. Lio Rush brings out Lashley.





Bobby Lashley vs. Elias

KO starts chasing Rush around the ring and he ends up running over Lashley by mistake to cause a DQ. Rush uses his speed to escape Owens until Elias grabs him. Lashley prevents his new manager from taking a powerbomb to end the segment.







Nia Jax vs. Alicia Fox

We see a video package hyping Undertaker vs. Triple H at WWE Super Show Down.





The Shield vs. Baron Corbin and AOP

The Shield won

WWE tries to play things like Ambrose is considering joining The Dogs of War, but he gets into the ring and poses with The Shield as expected. 


The Show ends with the classic Shield pose from The Hounds of Justice.

SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with a recap of Becky Lynch winning the title on Sunday. The Miz hypes his next match against Daniel Bryan at Super Show-Down for a feature opportunity at the WWE Championship to start things off. He reveals his mystery guest is Maryse.

Maryse implies there are problems with Brie and Bryan's relationship and claims she only married him to keep herself relevant. Maryse reveals that for now, this is her last night on SmackDown. She is leaving to take care of her child. He chastises the crowd for booing his wife. He calls out Bryan and threatens to destroy him to give the crowd something to boo about.

Bryan comes down and engages in a fight until he accidentally dropkicks The Miz into Maryse and she goes down. Bryan looks upset when he realizes what he has done. He apologizes to her while The Miz grabs a bottle of water for her. She smiles and stands up to show it was a setup. Miz tries to hit the Skull Crushing Finale, but Bryan sees it coming. The Miz ends up actually hitting his wife by mistake before Bryan sends him out of the ring with a clothesline.

Randy Orton is shown harassing a guy in the production truck about pulling up the footage of what he did to Jeff Hardy Sunday night.

After the match, English attacks Rusev with the mic and beats him down. He sings one last "Happy Rusev Day" before leaving the ring. Lana screams at him as he slowly leaves up the ramp.

As AJ celebrates, Samoa Joe attacks him.

Asuka vs. Billie Kay

Becky Lynch's SmackDown Women's Championship Coronation
Paige is out to introduce the NEW SDLive Women's Champion

Becky says SmackDown is her show now. She calls out Charlotte Flair, and the queen is quick to oblige.
Charlotte promises Paige that she isn't here to fight or steal Becky's spotlight. She says Lynch beat her in the middle of the ring and congratulates her on being the better
woman that night, but she says it cost Becky a steep price. The Lass Kicker
tells her to shut up and brags about her win.
Charlotte goes after Becky and The Lass Kicker takes her out by throwing her into the stairs. She eventually locks in the DisArmHer on Charlotte before grabbing her title and raising it high. She grabs Charlotte and hits the exploder before leaving.
SmackDown ends with Lynch holding up her title while Charlotte tries to recover in the ring.

Rating: 90/90

RAW


RAW  opens in the arena with Roman Reigns making his way to the ring.

Reigns say last night may not have gone according to plan, but he is still the champion and that is all that matters. He says if Lesnar wants his rematch he can come and get it right now. Braun Strowman comes out instead.

Baron Corbin comes out and says Reigns and Strowman need to slow their roll because they are not going to have a rematch right now. He says he was upset with how their match ended and has been trying to figure out a solution. He announces Reigns vs. Strowman vs. Lesnar will headline an event in Saudi Arabia called Crown Jewel. Braun says the situation and everyone in the arena sucks and storms off. That is when Paul Heyman comes out with the door of Hell in a Cell being carried by some PAs.

Corbin books himself in a title match against Reigns for later tonight.




Dean Ambrose vs. Drew McIntyre

Corbin runs into Ziggler and McIntyre backstage. He tries to talk Ziggler into invoking his rematch clause tonight. Ziggler is hesitant but agrees once he finds out Rollins might not even be in the building and would be stripped of the IC title if he doesn't show up.  




Ronda Rousey is shown telling the Bellas and Natalya that she wants to hold an open challenge tonight.

Konnor attacks Gable and Roode after the match and leaves them laying in the ring.





Rollins is informed of his upcoming title defense when he arrives at the building. He is unhappy but not surprised. Back in the arena, a familiar bell sounds throughout the arena as the lights go out.

The Undertaker makes his way to the ring to the usual pop from the WWE Universe. He stands silent while the crowd chants his name. He talks about how Triple H has a broken soul.


Taker says Triple H is a corporate guy now and he vows to defeat him again at Super Show-Down. He has the crowd in the palm of his hand. He says Shawn Michaels will be in 
Triple H's corner, but he doesn't mind because Kane will be in his corner.

Ronda Rousey comes out to issue an open challenge for the RAW WomensTitle

She starts by saying Bliss gave a great performance last night and admits she was pushed to her limits. She challenges anyone to come out and take her title from her. Natalya's music hits but she doesn't come out. Instead, we see The Riott Squad drag her out unconscious from the back.

Riott says she is accepting the challenge, but Rousey hits her with a stiff right as soon as she gets on the apron. She takes on all three members of the group until Logan hits her with a knee to the injured ribs. They gang up on her until The Bella Twins run down to make the save.


Elias is in the ring after the break. He strums a quick tune before talking about having to face Lashley tonight. He was interrupted by Lio Rush and then Lio does the introductions for Bobby Lashley.

Kevin Owens' music hits and he immediately goes after Rush for talking trash about him. Lio uses his agility to escape his and Elias' grasp for a little while. Owens grabs him for a powerbomb but Lashley saves him. Then Bobby picks up Lio and throws him into Owens and Elias. Rush gets on his shoulders as they celebrate.

Corbin ends up throwing a chair at Reigns and the ref is forced to call for a disqualification and by that call, Reigns is still champion. Corbin depended that this match to be restarted and turned into a No Disqualification Match

Hell In A Cell

The Hell in a Cell
pre-show is on the air. The Coach is hosting the panel with Paige, Booker T,
and Pete Rosenberg.
They do their usual hyping of tonight’s match card. 


The Day (c) vs. Rusev Day for the SDLive Tag Team Titles 



New Day retains the SDLive Tag Team Titles 



We shall a video package hyping Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman later on
tonight inside HIAC for the Universal Title. 




Hell in a Cell opens with a video package about all of the feuds on tonight's
card.



Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton in a HIAC Match 


He grabs Orton and hits another Twist of Fate
before laying him on top of the table. He climbs up the small ladder so he can
use it to spring over the big ladder. He realizes he will hit the cell with his
head if he does it, so he climbs onto the big ladder and grabs the top of the
cell. He swings from the top and drops down onto an empty table after Orton
moves. The ref immediately checks on him and calls for EMTs. Orton covers him
and tells the ref to do his job. The ref counts the pin as the cell is raised
up to allow the EMTs to come in and help.


Randy Orton won and celebrates his win while we see Jeff getting
looked at and eventually carted away.

Ziggler and McIntyre show up trying to get inside
the cage. Rollins and Ambrose run down to stop them. They take out McIntyre
before chasing down Ziggler to deliver a beatdown.


McIntyre goes after Ambrose while Ziggler and
Rollins starts climbing up the cell. Seth and Dolph fight while Drew climbs up
with them. Ambrose eventually makes his way up with a kendo stick strapped to
his back. The Lunatic Fringe beats the tag team champions with the stick until
Drew catches it in his hands. All four men end up down on top of the cell after
a double clothesline. Seth and Dolph climb down to the halfway point and start
fighting. They end up knocking each other down through two different announce
tables.


Brock Lesnar's music hits and he walks down the
ramp with Paul Heyman. The Beast kicks down the cell door and gets inside. Heyman
sprays Foley with mace while Lesnar uses everything he can find to beat on
Strowman and Reigns. He grabs Braun and delivers an F-5. Then he does the same
to Reigns and plants him on top of Strowman. Another official runs to the ring
and calls for the bell to declare the match a no contest.



Hell in a Cell ends with Lesnar leaving the ring while a few officials come to
check on everyone.



Rating: 90/90

HIAC has some intense matches and endings tonight.

SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with a tribute to those we lost on 9/11 before Jeff Hardy makes his way to the ring for the first match of the night.  Hardy says he has beaten his demons before, but he will face his most venomous demon inside Hell in a Cell. Once he is done, Shinsuke Nakamura heads to the ring.

Randy Orton comes out of nowhere and shoves him off the top turnbuckle down to the floor. He grabs Jeff by the head and slams him into the steel steps several times. The Viper grabs a chair and tees off on Hardy. Jeff is able to turn the tables and hit a Swanton Bomb to end the segment.


WWE plays a video of AJ Styles talking about his feud with Samoa Joe in an empty arena. The crowd watches in silence as he talks about what he is going to do to Joe at Hell in a Cell. Charlotte Flair vs. Sonya Deville Charlotte Flair won Becky Lynch attacks Charlotte from the crowd while dressed as a fan. She puts Charlotte in the DisArmHer until a couple of refs make her break the hold.



Story time with Samoa Joe which pretty much is saying that he is guranted to give AJ Styles nightmares come HIAC.



The Bar vs. Rusev Day (Winner faces The New Day at HIAC for the SDLive Tag Team Titles)
Rusev Day won and will face New Day at HIAC for the SDLive Tag Team Titles.

Brie grabs a mic and calls her a coward. Miz grabs his own mic and yells at Brie that his wife is too good for her. He says Lafayette doesn't deserve this match and declares it over. The It Couple tries to leave, but Brie chases after Maryse and drags her back to the ring. She eventually puts on the Yes Lock. Miz yanks Brie out of the ring and Bryan goes after him like a man possessed. Miz ends up throwing Bryan into Brie at ringside and she goes down hard. Miz attacks him from behind and throws him into the steel steps. Bryan and Brie recover and take their rivals down. Brie punches Miz in the face and Bryan clotheslines him out of the ring. The show ends with a Yes chant. Rating 80/80: Great show and matches as we look forward to HIAC

RAW



The show opens with Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre coming to the ring with every heel on the Raw roster as their backup. The trio gets in the ring while everyone else surrounds it.


Strowman calls his group the Dogs of War and Ziggler commends the men at ringside for standing up to The Shield last week. The Shield's music hits and they appear in the crowd.


Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns head through the crowd and start fighting everyone at ringside. They actually get the upper hand by using axe handles. They take out over a dozen Superstars while The Dogs of War retreat up the ramp.


After the break we see The Shield arguing with some cops. Corbin walks in and tells them to put down the weapons so they don't get arrested. He says if they don’t leave the arena, Rollins and Reigns  will lose their titles. Seth agrees to the terms and they drop their axe handles before walking away.



Nikki Bella vs. Ruby Riott

Big Show appears after the break with several children from Louisiana to help support Connor's Cure. He introduces them with wrestling nicknames.



AOP vs. Jobbers

AOP won



Triple H comes out and talks about a poll on WWE.com that showed 81% of fans think The Undertaker will win their match. He says things like that don't bother people at his level, but Shawn Michaels got under Taker's skin last week. Hunter seems confused by the idea of The Undertaker getting angry at Michaels for predicting Triple H would win. He says watching their interaction made him mad because it 

showed how Taker has lost respect for himself.

Triple H promises to use the last bit of respect he has for The Deadman to put him down in Australia.

As they celebrate, Ambrose and Rollins come out of nowhere to attack them.



Rollins and Ambrose use a local sheriff to threaten Baron Corbin for filing a false police report last week. Corbin and Rollins talk privately and Seth seems happy with whatever agreement they came to.



Back in the arena, Kevin Owens prepares to face Tyler Breeze.

Owens attacks Breeze while he is posing on the apron. He powerbombs Prince Pretty into the side of the ring before grabbing a mic. He says Corbin begged him to come back after he quit two weeks ago. He says he came back and now his job is to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. Owens tells the crowd to blame Bobby Lashley because he injured Sami Zayn.

Elias is out after the break to do his usual routine of insulting the crowd before attempting to sing a song. He claims Drew Brees told him he is sick of representing New Orleans. As he prepares to sing, Mick Foley's music interrupts him.

Elias says he was there when Foley was thrown off of the cell and he saw how it changed his life. He calls Foley a broken man who has been singing the same sad song for 20 years. The crowd chants for Mr. Socko. Foley tells the story of being carted away on the stretcher before he came back to get chokeslammed through the roof of the cell. He says it made him feel more alive than he has ever felt before.



Foley announces that he will be the special guest ref for Roman vs. Braun inside Hell in a Cell. Elias tells him to shut up and stop wasting his time. Foley gets in his face and says he is going to listen to what he has to say. He says Stephanie gave him the power to make one match tonight, so he is booking Elias vs. Finn Balor next.

Charly Caruso tells Braun Strowman if he wants to find Reigns, he should go to the ring so Reigns can find him.

Strowman is out after the break and he wastes no time calling out Reigns. He makes sure to look all around the arena so he doesn't get blindsided. He calls Reigns a coward when he doesn't show up.

Roman shows up on top of the announce table, so Braun goes up to meet him. Reigns hits a Superman Punch, but Strowman easily takes control by slamming him into the LED board. He clears off the announce table and puts The Big Dog on top of it. Roman picks him up and hits a Samoan drop from the top of the table through the stage down to the floor.





The show ends with Roman Reigns standing tall on the ramp holding the Universal Title will this be the seen at HIAC?
