RAW

Raw opens with a recap of last week's opening segment involving Reigns, Strowman and Samoa Joe before we go the usual opening video. When we go live to the arena, Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring.
Angle says he has a great show planned and hypes Big Show vs. Big Cass, MizTV with Jason Jordan and the Triple Threat main event with Joe, Roman and Braun. Angle says he wanted to address the WWE Universe and talks about this being the 21st anniversary of when he won a gold medal with a broken freakin neck.
Brock Lesnar makes a surprise appearance and heads to the ring.
Paul Heyman says he has figured out what Angle is trying to do by booking him in a Fatal 4-Way match so he is almost guaranteed to lose the Universal Championship.
Angle stands there while Heyman gives a promo about why the match at SummerSlam is a bad idea. Heyman says if Lesnar loses the title at SummerSlam, both of them will leave WWE for good.


The Hardy Boyz vs. Anderson and Gallows w/ The Revival at commentary

The Hardy Boyz won
They celebrate on the stage until Dash and Dawson start talking some trash. A fight breaks out, which Anderson and Gallows decide to join. Matt and Jeff end up taking out everyone to be the last team standing.


Ambrose tells Rollins backstage that he still doesn't trust him despite how well they worked together last week.



Rollins will battle Sheamus later tonight. We probably we'll see Ambrose at some point.




Swann, Tozawa and Alexander vs. Daivari, Nese and TJP

Swann, Tozawa and Alexander Won.



Miz Tv w/ The a Guest Jason Jordan who is the "son" of Kurt Angle.
Miz says Jordan will just have everything handed to him since he is Angle's son. Jordan says he doesn't want preferential treatment and wants to earn his spot. Miz tells him not to be an idiot and take his advice. Jordan says he would rather lose his job than be associated with The Miz.
Miz runs down Angle and Jordan in his usual vicious manner, even bringing some realism by calling out Angle for his past transgressions. Jordan gets defensive and gets in Miz's face. Axel and Dallas gets in his way, but Miz backs them off. He takes a wild swing and Jordan suplexes him into Dallas and Axel before leaving the ring.


Seth Rollins vs. Sheamus w/ Cesaro at ringside
Seth Rollins won
Cesaro attacks Rollins from behind after the match.
Sheamus and Cesaro hit a super White Noise on Rollins while the crowd 
chants for Ambrose. The tag champs are about to leave, but change their mind and head 
back for more. Ambrose finally appears to even the odds. Cesaro and Sheamus get the upper hand and put Dean away with a Neutralizer.
Ambrose wants more and Cesaro and Sheamus give it to him; Sheamus finishes off Ambrose with a Brogue Kick.Both Ambrose and Rollins are down and out.I still want Ambrose and Rollins to become Tag Team Champions. (I can wish)

Bray Wyatt heads to the ring while the crowd lights up the arena with phone lights.

He criticizes the Balor Club and says everyone has been infected by the sickness of hope.
The crowd is growing restless as Wyatt continues to rant about the same things we have heard him talk about for the past few years. He breaks down into creepy laughter before asking how it felt to see Balor beaten up last week.
The lights go out and Balor appears in the ring with his back turned. Wyatt tries to attack, but Finn sends him out of the ring with an overhead kick and into the crowd with a dropkick over the barricade. Balor celebrates as the crowd cheers him on.



Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe vs. Braun Strowman - (Triple Threat Match)

Bayley vs. Nia Jax

Bayley won by count out
Bliss tries to attack Bayley after the match, but Bayley escapes the ring and celebrates her win.



Big Show vs. Big Cass
Enzo jumps Cass and causes a DQ. The big man throws Enzo off his back and knocks him out with one shot to the head. Big Show gets up and hits a KO Punch to a charging Cass.
The show ends with Big Show and Enzo celebrating and Big Show carrying Amore up th ramp to close the show.

Rating 60/60

Great show and matches. Wish there was more women apart of raw though. But, it was great leading up to SummerSlam. It could've been better but had decent parts.

SmackDown Live

Kevin Owens kicks off the post-Battleground SmackDown by coming out in a suit with his U.S. Title on his shoulder.

Owens says it feels right to say he is the United States champion once again, and he proved good things happen to good people. He thinks he is a good person.


Owens says he is bringing back the U.S. open challenge...next week. Then he insults the Virginia crowd by saying he would never defend the belt in front of a bunch of hicks. AJ Styles comes out, likely to request a rematch.

Styles says he came out to get his rematch, just like everyone knew he would. Then Chris Jericho's music hits and the crowd goes absolutely nuts.
Owens freaks out and demands to know why Jericho is there. Chris tells him to shut up and says he is back to get revenge after Owens sent him out on a stretcher the last time they met. Then he says he is back for a rematch for the U.S. Title.
While Jericho is busy trying to put Styles on The List, Owens tries to leave. Shane McMahon comes out and gets in his way. He says Styles and Jericho both have valid claims to a rematch, and they will both get their opportunity at the same time in a Triple Threat match tonight.

After a quick recap of the Punjabi Prison match from Battleground, Jinder Mahal makes his way out to demand a new opponent for SummerSlam.

Mahal brags about crushing the legacy of Randy Orton by using the Punjabi Prison to his advantage. He says everyone underestimated him and he will remain champion as long as he desires. Jinder demands to know who he will face at SummerSlam. As he starts to speak in Punjabi, John Cena makes his way to the ring.
Mahal cuts Cena off before he can speak and says he doesn't deserve to be WWE champion. Cena says he actually wanted to congratulate Jinder
on his win and claims to have respect for him after everything he has been through. He also gives Mahal a heads up that he will be coming after the WWE Championship, and he doesn't care how many allies Jinder has to protect him. He even refers to himself as SuperCena.

As Big E is giving The New Day's usual intro from backstage, the new tag team champions are ambushed by The Usos. The Usos bring them out to the stage and continue beating them to a pulp. A few refs try to make Jimmy and Jey back off as they check on Kofi, Big E and Woods.


KO (C) vs. AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho in a Triple Threat for the US Title

AJ Styles wins back the US Title.

Owens stands outside the ring with a look of pure shock on his face.
Owens flips out at ringside and starts trashing the announce table and throwing chairs around. He grabs a mic and screams that this isn't fair. He says he wants his rematch next week. Does he even get a rematch? 
The show ends with Styles celebrating his win.

SmackDown Live was freaking phenomenal. Like, it blew away WWE Battleground. Great matches and show leading up to SummerSlam.

RAW

Kurt Angle comes out to the ring with a huge smile on his face. He welcomes everyone to the show and talks about revealing his big secret last week.
Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe both come out before Angle can name a No. 1 contender for Brock Lesnar's Universal Championship at SummerSlam. Joe gets in Strowman's face and introduces himself.
Joe suggests Angle book Reigns vs. Strowman so he can face Lesnar at SummerSlam by himself. This brings out Reigns to add his opinion to the mix.
Reigns gets some serious heat while talking about how Joe and Strowman haven't done anything since they have been here while he has been a champion multiple times and retired The Undertaker. Angle ends up booking the match everyone knew he would, Joe vs. Reigns vs. Strowman vs. Lesnar for the title in a Fatal 4-Way at SummerSlam.
A brawl breaks out and we see Joe and Reigns team up to take out Strowman. They dump him over the barricade and then start fighting each other. Braun comes back in the ring and runs over Joe before throwing Reigns into the ring post. Angle calls for security, and Strowman tears through all of them. Kurt calls for the entire locker room to come break up the fight as Joe tries to choke Braun out. Reigns comes out of nowhere with a Spear for Braun and Joe.
Reigns and Strowman clear the ring of everyone, which leads to Strowman hitting Reigns with a powerslam to be the last man standing.


Finn Balor vs. Elias Samson (No DQ)

The lights go out. Bray Wyatt appears and hits Balor with Sister Abigail. Samson makes the cover and gets the win.
Bray does his creepy crab walk over to Balor and talks to him. He poses before the lights go out again.

Big Cass vs. Enzo Amore

Emma vs. Nia Jax
Nia Jax won 

Tozawa calls out Daivari, but Neville comes out instead and taunts him. Akira motions for him to come to the ring as Neville continues running his mouth. The King of the Cruiserweights says Titus made him false promises and all joining the Titus Brand got him was an injured shoulder. Tozawa attacks Neville and lays him out with a few kicks before hitting a flying senton from the top rope.
Daivari comes out and attacks Tozawa before turning his attention to Neville and putting him down with a clothesline.
Backstage, Banks and Bayley talks about how this match won't change their friendship. Banks seems to think she is guaranteed to win and Bayley says not to overlook her.

Sasha Banks vs. Bayley (No. 1 Contender) w/ Alexa Bliss at commentary.

Bayley won and the #1 Contender to the Women's Championship and will face Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam.
Alexa Bliss comes to the ring and holds up her title in front of Bayley. They will meet at SummerSlam.


The Revival vs. Gallows and Anderson

Hardy's music hits and they come out on the stage. The Club toss The Revival out of the ring, but they come back and hit Anderson with a Shatter Machine to get the win
The Revival won
Matt and Jeff storm the ring and take out The Revival. Dash takes Poetry in Motion and a Twist of Fate, but Dawson saves him from a Swanton Bomb.


Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins vs. Miz and The Miztourage

Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins win
Ambrose embraces Rollins after the match and the crowd pops big. Then Rollins puts out his first for the Shield salute and Ambrose leaves him hanging to end the show.

Incredible show and matches as we look on to SummerSlam. The main event was freaking awesome. I hope Dean & Seth will be apart of SummerSlam some how.

Renee Young welcomes us to the Battleground Kickoff. She is joined by Jerry Lawler, David Otunga and Sam Roberts.

Dasha Fuentes asks Cena if he is ready for tonight, and he says "That's very DX of you to ask.


Fans are actually chanting "Let's go Ellsworth" while Carmella is being interviewed by the panel.


AJ Styles and Kevin Owens each give interviews backstage about their upcoming match.


The panel hype what's in store tonight on WWE Battleground with a video package.

John Cena won and put the United States Flag up on the pole.


We are gifted with another Fashion Files segment. It still has an X Files theme. They share a hug before The Ascension walk in and confess to trashing their office. They say they did it because they felt like it. Fandango doesn't believe them because they weren't at SmackDown last week.
Someone knocks out Breeze and Fandango from off screen and drags Fandango away as the segment ends

Mike Kanellis (w/ Maria at ringside) vs. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn wins.

Randy Orton vs. Jinder Mahal (C) for the WWE Championship in a Punjabi Prison Match
Jinder Mahal retained the WWE Championship thanks to the great khali returning and getting involved and helping Jinder win. 
The show ended with holding up the title at the ramp. But, it sucked Great Khali got in involved and the Singh brothers did too. Just annoying. Please someone take it away from Jinder soon. I was actually hoping Corbin would cash in but that didn't happen.

Rating: 50/50

It was okay. Good matches. Had some intense matches and action. The ending was just the same as always Jinder wining with help.

SmackDown Live

The show opens with a video hyping the Punjabi Prison.
Mahal and the Singhs get inside the Punjabi Prison and the outer cage is lowered down. The crowd gives the WWE champion decent heel heat as he talks about how he will defeat Randy Orton on Sunday.
The Singhs explain the rules of the match before Mahal talks some more trash about Orton. Then he addresses the crowd in Punjabi. Before he can finish, Orton comes out on the ramp.
Orton questions Mahal's intelligence to put himself in a cage with an angry Viper. Randy starts climbing the outer cage as he continues to taunt Mahal. He brings up how Jinder attacked his family and left him with nothing to lose.
The segment ends with Orton sitting on top of the outer cage while Mahal seethes with anger in the ring

John Cena comes out after the break to talk about his upcoming flag match.
Cena gives his usual hype speech while talking about facing Rusev on Sunday. He talks about how some people don't like him, but everyone should be able to agree on loving the flag. He talks about some tough moments in American history and how its citizens keep moving forward. He brings down his flag and vows to win on Sunday. As he waves the flag to his music, Rusev comes out of the crowd and attacks him. He nails a huge side kick before putting Cena in the Accolade.
Cena lifts Rusev on his back and drives him into the corner, but Rusev keeps the hold on and wrestles him back to the mat. Cena tries to get up again, but he fails and succumbs to the hold. The Bulgarian Brute takes down his flag and waves it triumphantly.

They shake hands after the match, and then Tamina's music hits and she comes down with Lana. Natalya attacks Becky from behind while Tamina goes after Charlotte.


AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. KO and Baron Corbin
Corbin attacks Nakamura during his entrance, which leads to Owens coming out and all four men brawling on the stage.

Dean Ambrose comes to the ring carrying a steel chair to kick off Raw.
Ambrose talks about The Miz and challenges him to come to the ring with Dallas and Axel to finish what they started. He sits in the same chair he used to beat Miz last week while he waits. Instead of the Miz, Seth Rollins comes out.
Rollins asks why Ambrose came to his defense last week and Ambrose said it had nothing to do with him and everything to do with beating up The Miz. Rollins asks Ambrose if he will be in his way or by his side when he fights The Miz. Ambrose says his brothers were The Shield, but then Rollins betrayed his trust. Seth actually says he is sorry for what happened, and he repeats it to make sure Ambrose heard him.
Rollins asks what it would take for Ambrose to move on from their past. Dean doesn't seem to want to forgive him, so Rollins turns his back and tells Ambrose to hit him as many times as he needs to in order to get this out of his system. Ambrose throws the chair out of the ring, and then The Miz comes out.
Miz, Dallas and Axel surround the ring and grabs chairs. This is just like the old Shield ambushes. The Miztourage attacks and immediately gets the upper hand. Miz puts Rollins' head into a chair with the Skull Crushing Finale after throwing Ambrose into the steps. Before they leave, Miz takes one last shot to Ambrose's back.

Enzo comes out and talks about his friendship with Big Cass and how it ended
Enzo says Big Cass being seven feet tall didn't win them any titles and he will keep getting back up no matter how many times Cass knocks him down. He shows a clip of Big Show knocking Cass out of the ring last week.
Big Cass comes out and interrupts his former friend. He blames Corey Graves for exposing him as Enzo's attacker. He says Enzo didn't learn his lesson at Great Balls of Fire, so he is going to beat some sense into him tonight. Amore rolls out of the ring and sits with a kid wearing an Enzo wig while they watch Cass fight Big Show.
Cass attacks Big Show as he tries to get in the ring, but Show pulls him out and sends him into the barricade. Cass gets in some good shots to the head and body, but Show is able to throw him into the ring apron. Big Show gets pushed into the ring post, and Big Cass stays on him with more punches to the face. Cass hits several kicks to the ribs before Enzo tries to come to Big Show's aide. Cass lays him out with a boot to the face and heads up the ramp.

Finn Balor vs. Elias Samson

Samson grabs his guitar and smashes it on Balor's head to get himself disqualified.
Finn Balor won by dq.
Wyatt comes on the screen and delivers a promo directed at Balor. He tells Balor he is his worst nightmare and plans to destroy The Demon.

Akira Tozawa vs. Ariya Daivari

Ariya Daivari Won 


Tozawa yells at Titus that he never quit. He says Titus doesn't care about him and appears to quit the Titus Brand.

Angle comes out and talks about how he was raised to know every action has a 
consequence. He says an action from his past will affect his life going forward.
Angle talks about a woman he dated in college and how she gave birth nine months after their last date to a baby boy. He looks happy as he talks about his son's accomplishments in college and after.
Jason Jordan comes out as Angle tears up a little. They look at each other before grabbing one another for a big hug.

Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe (Winner faces Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam for the Universal Championship)

Braun Strowman's music hits and he marches to the ring. He pulls Joe off the apron and stares at Reigns.
Strowman fights off Reigns before coming face to face with Samoa Joe. They start unloading on each other. Braun knocks him down with a clothesline before going back to work on Roman. Joe grabs him in the Coquina Clutch while sitting on the top turnbuckle. He breaks the hold after Reigns hits a Superman Punch. The crowd chants "This is awesome" as Reigns jumps right into a spinebuster. Strowman scoops up Joe for a powerslam, and then he grabs Reigns and slams him right next to Joe.
The show ends with Strowman walking up the ramp while Reigns and Joe lay helpless in the ring as several officials check on them. Angle and Jordan are shown preparing for their interview backsage.

SmackDown Live

AJ Styles comes out with his new U.S. title at the top of the show. He even has a new red, white and blue shirt to go with his belt.
Styles talks about what the title means to him and brings up John Cena's U.S. open challenges, saying it's about time to bring back the concept. He says he wants to make the title represent the best in the business like it used to, and anyone in the back is welcome to prove him wrong.
John Cena comes out. He does some posing before asking Styles if he is allowed to answer the open challenge. Styles says yes and Cena accepts.
Charles Robinson comes down to officiate and the announcer does the official intros. But before Little Naitch can ring the bell, Kevin Owens interrupts. He says nobody wants to see this match and people only care about seeing him regain the title.
Rusev attacks Cena from behind and Owens hits Styles with a Popup Powerbomb. KO and Rusev leave while Cena and Styles are down in the ring.

Tye Dillinger vs. Jinder Mahal

Xavier Woods vs. Jey Uso

Xavier Woods won 

After everyone in the women's division comes into Shane's office asking for a title shot, he books a five-way elimination match at Battleground for a title shot at SummerSlam. It will feature Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Tamina, Natalya and Lana. Then Carmella walks in and presents a petition to reinstate James Ellsworth. Shane reads it and then rips it up right in front of her.

Nakamura attacks Corbin during his entrance, but Mr. MITB gets the upper hand and throws him over the barricade. They fight in the crowd until Shinsuke gets thrown back to ringside. Corbin grabs his briefcase and leaves while Nakamura taunts him from the ring.


Charlotte and Becky Lynch vs. Natalya and Tamina
Natalya and Tamina won thanks to lanas distraction when Charlotte was distracted and didn't know Tamina tagged in.

AJ Styles and John Cena vs. KO and Rusev
AJ Styles and John Cena won

Cena and Styles stare at each other for a few than John Cena raises AJ Styles's hand as he raises the United States Championship and then they climbed up the top of the ropes and stand tall celebrating their win.

RAW

Raw opens with a video package highlighting Great Balls of Fire.
After a video showcasing the brutality from last night's Ambulance match.

Big Cass heads to the ring to deliver a promo.

Big Cass shows some pics of his dominant performance against Enzo Amore at GBOF. He also shows a clip of Enzo being helped to the back by a pair of refs. He issues a warning to the whole lockerroom and says anyone who messes with him will suffer the same fate as his former friend. Cass says he is the future and vows to win the universal title one day, and when he does win it, he will shove his victory down the throats of anyone who doubted him. He makes some lofty claims about main eventing future WrestleManias. He says nobody is bigger than Big Cass.
Which lead to Big Show to come out.
Cass stands his ground as Big Show enters the ring. He steps up to him and Show delivers a headbutt. They start brawling and end up on the mat. Cass retreats before Show can hit the KO Punch.

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder come to the ring after the match and attack the Hardys.


The Miztourage is in the ring for the first Mizzie Awards.
Miz presents the best supporting actor award to Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. They give acceptance speeches.
Miz presents his wife with an award before giving himself the final award. He jokingly reads Dean Ambrose's name before showing the envelope actually says his own name.


Miz actually gives credit to Ambrose by saying he is the toughest competitor he has ever faced, but he only did it so he could brag about beating him. The Lunatic Fringe comes marching to the ring and attacks Miz immediately. Dallas and Axel pounce on him, but Seth Rollins comes out to help Dean. They send the Miztourage running to end the segment.

Kurt Angle is out after the break to give an update on Strowman and congratulate Lesnar on his win.

Angle congratulates Lesnar and they shake hands. Angle brings up Lesnar's next challenger, but Heyman says he didn't think this would be a creative meeting. Heyman and Lesnar try to leave, but Roman Reigns makes his way out.
Angle says Roman has a lot of nerve coming out after what he did last night. Reigns says Angle and Lesnar used to be much more violent than he was, and Angle says that was then and this is now. Lesnar gets in his face and laughs a bit. Heyman thinks Reigns vs. Lesnar is a good idea, but Lesnar grabs the mic and says Reigns doesn't deserve s***. WWE censored him just in time. Samoa Joe comes out next.
Heyman gets in the middle of everyone and says Joe will never get another title match. Joe and Lesnar go nose to nose and almost throw down. Reigns sits back and enjoys the show. Angle tells everyone to calm down and books Joe vs. Reigns next week for a title shot at SummerSlam.

Rollins gives an interview and says he didn't go out earlier to help Ambrose, he did it to shut The Miz up.

Wyatt disappears from the ring and The Miztourage come through the crowd and surround the ring like The Shield used to do. Seth tries to fight them off, but he gets beaten down. Ambrose comes down with a chair and cleans house. He hits The Miz several times with the chair before his cronies pull him out of the ring.
The segment ended with Ambrose standing tall with the chair and the miztourage and Miz outside of the ring looking on and Rollins still stand there.  
Backstage we see Angle talking to someone on the phone. He says he loves them and will see them next week. (interesting)

The Great Balls of Fire Kickoff is on the air. Renee Young is leading the panel made up of David Otunga and Pete Rosenberg.
The panel is talking about each match before showing a video package.

The Hardy Boyz vs. Sheamus and Cesaro (C) for the Tag Team Titles in a 30 minute iron match.
Sheamus and Cesaro walked out still the Tag Team Champions. Just wow what a match both teams put on a insane match with action packed and incredible match.


Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss (c) for the RAW Women's Championship 
Sasha Banks won by count out but still RAW Women's Champ Alexa Bliss Banks chases Bliss down and runs her into the LED wall on the stage. Bliss gets the upper hand and tries to DDT her through the table. Sasha pushed her off to the floor and hits a flying double knee to put her down for good. Banks celebrates on top of the table.

Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz (C) for the IC Title w/ Miztourage and Maryse at ringside.
The Miz won with the help of Miztorage and Maryse

Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman in a Ambulance Match
Braun Strowman won
Reigns opens the doors and Spears Strowman from inside the ambulance.
Reigns puts Strowman into the ambulance and gets in the driver's seat. He brings the vehicle to the backstage area and throws it into reverse, crashing it into the back of a trailer.
Angle comes to check on Strowman as Reigns walks away. Several officials and producers try to get into the ambulance to check on Braun.
WWE has Hawkins and Slater have an impromptu match, which means the main event is going to be disappointingly short. They trade offense until Hawkins hits a big elbow to the back of the head. A fire truck and ambulance arrive backstage to help get Strowman out of the ambulance. They don't even show Slater get the win because we are seeing firemen pry the door open with the jaws of life.
Strowman finally emerges covered in blood. He keeps trying to get to his feet, but can't keep his balance. The EMTs try to get him to take their help, but he tells them to leave him alone and limps away. Angle looks worried.
Insanity just insanity. WWE or pro-wrestling in general is unpredictable and anything can happen. It's been away since it leave its audience actually shocked and disbelieved and just find a storyline so believable and intense and awesome. Like the face of Kurt when he came to see what happen was just awesome, like he was shocked indeed. Look forward to see the outcome of this.

Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar (C) for the Universal Championship
Paul Heyman refuses to let Jojo introduce Lesnar, so he does it instead. Joe attacks Lesnar during the intro and knocks him out of the ring.
Brock Lesnar won and still is the Universal Champion.

The show ended with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar is walking up the ramp as Lesnar is holding the Universal Championship.

Freaking insane. What great matches and impactful first Great Balls of Fire! The Ambulance Match was just insane from the match to the end. The Tag Team Title Match was pretty incredible too. The main event wasn't very long but still had some awesome parts.
