SmackDown Live

The show opens with a brief trailer hyping the matches set for tonight.
Jinder Mahal comes out with the Singhs to get the show going. The ring is decorated with rugs and a string of flowers on the front ring rope. The Singhs are wearing traditional Indian garb instead of their usual dress shirts and slacks. Mahal brags about being the greatest WWE champion of all time.
Mahal has a whole crew of dancers and a woman to sing the Indian National Anthem. The crowd boos all of it, but the jeers grow even louder when he starts speaking in Punjabi. Shinsuke Nakamura's music hits.
Nakamura talks about their match at SummerSlam and declares it will be Mahal's last day as WWE champion.

Natalya vs. Becky Lynch w/Naomi at commentary

Natalya won

Chad Gable vs. Rusev

Rusev won
He puts Gable in the Accolade until he is satisfied with the damage he inflicted. He grabs a mic and calls out Orton, who appears and hits a literal RKO out of nowhere.

AJ Styles is out after the break and he asks Shane McMahon to join him in the ring. Shane O'Mac comes out.
Shane says there is no need for an apology and Styles assures him the kick last week was an accident. Then Styles asks him man to man if he will hold a grudge. McMahon says he knows the kick was inadvertent, but if the same thing happens on Sunday it might be a different story. Kevin Owens comes out to interrupt as Shane was getting ready to issue Styles a warning.
Owens tries to suck up to Shane and says he is happy he will have a ref who is fair and impartial. Owens offers his hand to Shane, but Shane says he should offer it to AJ. Kevin does just that with a smile on his face. Styles refuses and they get into an argument. They start shoving each other and Styles almost punches Shane on accident. Shane grabs his arm and yells at him. KO tries to superkick Styles, but he ends up hitting Shane instead.

The New Day vs. The Usos

The Usos won

John Cena vs. Jinder Mahal
Cena looks shocked, but he also has a smile on his face. He puts Mahal up on the top rope for a super AA and hits it. Baron Corbin comes in and breaks up the pin by throwing his briefcase at Cena. The ref calls for the bell and Corbin nails Cena with the case right in the head. It looks like he is about to leave, but then he looks at his briefcase and decides to cash it in.

Jinder Mahal vs. Baron Corbin (WWE Title)

Cena gets on the apron as the bell rings and Corbin lays him out. Mahal rolls Corbin up and gets the win out of nowhere. Corbin freaks out and rips up the announce table while Cena laughs at him.
The show ends with The Lone Wolf throwing a fit while Mahal exits with his cronies and Cena smiles at his rival's misfortune.

Sucks to be Corbin but I think Corbin will take it on Cena Sunday at SummerSlam, which could make the match even more intense.

Rating: 70/70

Great show and matches as we look on to SummerSlam. Even though we left with the sadness that Corbin is no holding the MITB briefcase anymore. Also, great tension between KO/AJ/Shane and I think it is interesting and entertaining. I can't wait tell SummerSlam.
