SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with Daniel Bryan heading to the ring with Rowan by his side. Bryan doesn't say anything and simply motions to the big screen so we can watch a video package.

The video package shows all of the recent events surrounding the WWE title and Kofi Kingston. Bryan says he stayed silent last week while everyone else gushed about Kofi. Chants for Kofi almost drown out Bryan's voice. Rowan tries and fails to get the crowd to shut up.

Bryan gets in a few digs at The New Day before talking about Kevin Owens. He says the people like KO because he is just like all of us, and that is why he doesn't deserve a title shot. Owens' music hit and he walks out on the stage.

Owens says it was hard to watch Bryan act like he was above everyone else while he was injured. Owens is clearly going for a babyface character right now. He says he speaks for the entire WWE Universe when he says Bryan deserves to have his mouth shut. He says Bryan acts like he is enlightened while making lowbrow jokes.

Owens admits he has lost friends due to his own actions, but he didn't need any friends to beat Bryan with a Stunner last week. Owens takes out Rowan before going after Bryan. Rowan comes back in and takes KO down with his palm slam.

The Usos give a promo to hype their upcoming tag title match against McMiz at Fastlane. The Miz and Shane give their own speech before this match begins. The Usos try to rush them and get sent out of the ring by the former champions as we head to a break.

Samoa Joe comes down to answer the U.S. open challenge, but he is followed closely by Rey Mysterio and Andrade. It looks like we have a Fatal 4-Way for the title.

Backstage, AJ Styles says Owens was in a lose-lose opportunity. Styles says Kingston deserves a title shot. Orton walks in and asks Styles if he is seriously taking time to talk about how someone else deserves a title shot? Orton tells Styles that he knows why it took Styles 15 years to get here

Kevin Owens vs. Erick Rowan

Bryan taunts Owens from the commentary table and KO attacks him. Rowan intervenes and sends Kevin into the steel steps. He flattens Owens and Bryan gets on top of him to deliver some punches, causing a disqualification in the process. Rowan delivers a body slam on the floor.

After the match, Rowan and Bryan beat down Owens. Mustafa Ali hits the ring and makes the save. Bryan surprises Ali with the running knee. Owens hits the Stunner on Bryan.

Charlotte heads to the ring after the break to have a talk with Becky Lynch before their match on Sunday. Becky comes out and says it's good to be back on SmackDown. She claims she is in Charlotte and Ronda's head and that she is still there after Rousey gave her the best she had last night. She says she has beaten Charlotte on one good leg and she will do it again on Sunday.

Charlotte kicks out the crutch from Becky's hand and starts attacking her injured knee. Lynch turns things around and locks in the DisArmHer. A few officials come to break up the fight.
SmackDown ends with Becky talking trash from the ring while Charlotte leaves up the ramp.

Rating 90/90:  Pretty exciting show and matches as we get closer to WWE Fastlane and as we look forward to WrestleMania.
