WWE NXT

The show opens with Samoa Joe in what looks to be the trainers room, or something, and William Regal is there as will, and the doctor doesn't think he can compete anytime soon due to his injuries he had faced, and then Samoa Joe seemed mad about that, and is seen walking away.


Tye Dillinger defeated Buddy Murphy


Tomasso Ciampa cut a promo about Johnny Gargano being injured backstage, but he was interrupted by The Revival. The Revival beat down Ciampa and took him to the ring and end the attack by hitting the Shatter machine.



Steve Cutler defeated Kenneth Crawford



No Way Jose defeated Angelo Dawkins



Liv Morgan defeated Aliyah



NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura came out for a promo. He said that he's still hurting from his NXT: Takeover match with Samoa Joe. He said that he respects Joe, but his era is over and now it's the Strong Style era. Nakamura stands tall on the ramp to close the show.

SmackDown Live

We are live with WWE SmackDown. The show opens with the segment from last week where The Miz went off on Daniel Bryan on Talking Smack.
Shane is shown telling Daniel Bryan he owes an apology to the miz for saying what he said about The Miz. Bryan says maybe he won't be so honest next time.

The Miz walks to the ring and starts to rant about how it took so long for the WWE Universe to notice him and how the IC title lost its prestige before he became champion.
He tells the fans they have no idea what he goes through with all the press stuff WWE has him do.

The Miz is really going off on the crowd, calling them all failures and cowards. Dolph Ziggler's music hits and he makes his way out.

He says the fans can see through him and that's why they won't get behind him. He gives Miz a pep talk, telling him how he can prove himself to the crowd.

Ziggler challenges Miz to a fight, not a match. He says he can prove his toughness
by taking him up on the challenge right now. Miz hands his title to Maryse and squares off with Ziggler.
He thinks for a moment and then exits the ring. Ziggler says Bryan was right when he called him a soft, safe coward. Miz tries to head back to the ring, but Maryse stops him.


Tag Team Tournament

Hype Bros vs. The Vaudevillians
The Hype Bros won and advances to the semifinals of the tag team tournament.



AJ Styles told the announcer to introduce him as The Face That Runs The Place. He grabs a mic and talks about how Dean Ambrose will learn to fear him.
As he is about to keep talking, Crews' music cuts him off
Crews says Bryan granted him a match against Styles for right now.

Apollo Crews vs. AJ Styles

AJ Styles won.


After the break, we get a special interview with Renee Young and Heath Slater. Rhyno is just hanging out in his living room
He introduces some women who he says is his wife.

Slater says he is lucky to have a partner like Rhyno, and then his wife burps. Renee looks so uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Rhyno is just silently eating crackers.


Bray Wyatt makes his way to the ring to talk about Randy Orton.
Wyatt says he knows Orton is just a man, and that excites him. He says Randy is sick, but that's why Wyatt likes him so much.
He talks about how the voices in Orton's head should be telling him to run, but then Orton's music hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Orton says he has been damaged for a long time, and it's what gives him most of his charm. He says Wyatt has his attention and Wyatt says this is the predator he wanted to see.
Wyatt says he respects Orton, but at Backlash, he will cut off the serpents head. Orton recalls some of the scars he has received over the years, but says the ones Wyatt needs to worry about are internal.
Orton agrees to a match at Backlash, but says he won't be afraid of Wyatt one bit. He rushes the ring, but the lights go out before he can do anything.


We will see a women's six pack challenge for the SmackDown's Women's championship at backlash.


Natalya and Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch and Naomi w/ Nikki Bella at commentary.
Natalya and Alexa Bliss won with the help of the distraction of Carmella attacking Nikki Bella.

Tag Team Tournament

Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. Headbangers

Heath Slater and Rhyno won and advances to the semifinals of the tag team tournament.


Gary ''The Milkman'' wanted a match,
He says he won't leave until someone comes out to face him. He strips down to his underwear to wrestle, and then Kane heads to the ring.
He tries to put his clothes back on so he can leave, but he is too late. Kane hits a chokeslam before leaving.


Dean Ambrose vs. Baron Corbin w/ AJ Styles at commentary.

Ambrose with the big elbow drop for a 2 count. Styles gets on the apron and dodges a shot from Ambrose. Corbin rolls Ambrose up for 2. Corbin blocks Dirty Deeds and runs Ambrose into AJ on the apron. The referee calls for the bell.


No Contest

Styles and Ambrose fight at ringside, and Corbin joins in to take out his frustrations. Ambrose hits him with Dirty Deeds and then trips Styles on the top rope when he tries to springboard in.
Ambrose mocks him as he shakes the ring ropes to add more pain to his injury. He jokingly shakes Styles' hand before taking his title and heading to the back.


Rating: 50/50

RAW

Recap of what happened last week on RAW

We see all four competitors in the ring with the title and Corey Graves hosting this segment.

Rollins brags about putting Balor on the shelf and forcing him to relinquish the title. He says he is so confident, he will donate his speaking time to Kevin Owens.

As KO is talking, a Fight Owens Fight chant breaks out. Owens runs down all three of his opponents with some hilarious insults.


Big Cass tells Rollins that size matters.

Instead of talking, Reigns takes out Owens while Big Cass sends Rollins out of the ring. As Cass and Reigns come face to face, Rollins comes out of nowhere and shoves Reigns into the big Cass.
Reigns sends both of them out of the ring and then stands next to the title belt.


Chris Jericho vs. Neville
Chris Jericho won


Gallows and Anderson give a promo about how they attacked The Dudley Boyz during their retirement segment last week.
They say they will retire The New Day when they face them with Nurse Dana Brooke tonight.

Stephanie McMahon heads to the ring to talk about what Brock Lesnar did to her brother at SummerSlam.

Stephanie says Lesnar crossed the line and she was not happy about it. Then Paul Heyman interrupts her as he heads to the ring.

he apologizes to Stephanie for Brock's actions. Heyman pulls out a gigantic stack of money so he can pay Lesnar's fine one dollar at a time.
Stephanie slaps it out of his hand and Stephanie asks what value Heyman brings to Raw. She says she will avenge her brother and warns Heyman of a storm coming his way.
Heyman backtracks and apologizes to her, but in a very slimy way. She accepts it and leaves as he smiles.


During RAW we seen video packages for all 4 men completing for the Universal Championship later tonight.

Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens vs. Big Cass for the Universal Championship in a fatal 4 way elimination match. W/ Stephanie and Mick Foley at ringside

Big Cass was eliminated

Triple H comes out of nowhere and hits Reigns with a Pedigree before rolling him back in. He sends Rollins in the ring to cover him for the pin.

Triple H goes around the ring and grabs Owens to roll him back in the ring. He gets in the ring and tells Rollins they are going to finish this.
Then he turns around and hits Rollins with a Pedigree after giving Owens the nod. Owens covers him and gets the win to become the new universal champion.

Triple H gives Foley and mean look before walking right past his wife and out through the crowd where he came from.
The crowd chants You Deserve It as Owens continues celebrating with the title as the show comes to an end.

WWE NXT

We see a recap of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 


Tye Dillinger vs. Wesley Blake 
Tye Dillinger won 


We take a look back at Bobby Roode vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas from Takeover. There's only one word to describe Roode's entrance. Roode got the win in his NXT in-ring debut. We go backstage with for an interview after the match. Roode says Almas is good, but isn't glorious and that he will take NXT to the next level.

TM61 will take on the Authors of Pain later tonight.

Flashback to Brooklyn as we take a look at Aries vs. Jose

During a WWE.com exclusive interview, Austin Aries says he is tired of everyone interrupting his moment. First Baron Corbin, then No Way Jose, now Hideo Itami. Itami is going to learn not to stick his nose in Aries business.


Another look back to Brooklyn with an awesome video package showcasing the Bayley vs. Asuka match from start to finish with some neat backstage looks and unique camera angles. Another fun, hard hitting, and emotional match that saw the NXT Women's Champ Asuka retain.
Interview with Bayley after the match and said she thought she may have had home court advantage in Brooklyn. Said she prepared for defending the Asuka lock, but didn't end the way she wanted. Ember Moon hops in and says Bayley is the reason she's here. Bayley congratulates the debuting Moon on her win and she sees big things in her future. We then get video of Bayley's debut on RAW Monday night.

Recap of Gargano/Ciampa  vs. The Revival at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn
Backstage with Revival. Dash says they are always right and they have prove
they are the best tag team in NXT and Sports Entertainment-wide. They say there's no one left to challenge them, clink their titles, and the "top guys" are out.

We see the recap of the main event of Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.  At the end of the night, we had a NEW NXT Champion in Shinsuke Nakamura.  We will hear from the new champ next week on NXT.

SmackDown Live

We start with several people in the locker room talking when AJ Styles walks in and declares himself the new face that runs the place.
He ends up insulting Dolph Ziggler and a fight breaks out. The heels hold back Styles while the babyfaces hold back Ziggler.

Shane McMahon making his way to the ring with Daniel Bryan.
We get our first look at the new tag and women's titles in the ring. They are similar to Raw's belts, but have blue in the design instead of red. Also, the tag titles have silver plates instead of bronze.

6-Pack Challenge Match will determine the first-ever SmackDown Women's Champion at Backlash

Tag Team Tournament for the new SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship

They reveal the new champions will be crowned at Backlash in a few weeks.

Slater he says he wants to win a title, and Bryan says he doesn't have the right equipment to challenge for the women's title.
Slater says he was talking about the tag titles and says he can find a partner. Bryan says if he can find a partner, he will get a spot in the tournament. Shane adds he has to win the tournament to win a spot on the roster.
Then AJ Styles comes out and is immediately attacked by Dolph Ziggler. Shane orders the roster to break them up.

The Usos vs. The Ascension
The Usos won and advances.


AJ Styles makes his way to the ring.
He grabs a mic and brags about beating Cena at SummerSlam. He shows off the armband Cena left in the ring at SummerSlam as a memento.
He claims he should be the No. 1 contender for the WWE title. We see Ziggler trying to come down the ramp and being held back by officials, including Billy Kidman.
Bryan comes out and says he won't let them ruin the show. Bryan books them in a match against each other.


Nikki Bella vs. Carmella

Renee Young tries to interview Nikki before the match, but Carmella attacks her turning heel. She grabs Nikki and drops her face into the mat.
It looks like she is going to leave, but then she comes back and delivers a Bella Buster.


Photo recap of Lesnar vs. Orton, The Viper makes his way out to the ring.
He shows off the 10 staples he received at the hands of Lesnar at SummerSlam and says he knew what he was getting into, but he would have rather left on a stretcher than have the match end the way it did.
As he is saying he will see Lesnar again, the lights go out and Bray Wyatt's music hits.
Wyatt sits in his rocking chair in the aisle and asks how Orton's head is. He says Orton is just a man while calling himself a god.
The lights drop out again, and when they come back on, Wyatt is gone. Orton looks around for a moment.
We go backstage to see Shane talking to Charles Robinson.
Shane is interviewed about Lesnar and he doesn't seem to want to talk about it. He says his feud with Lesnar is far from over.

Brock Lesnar did get fined 500 dollars for his actions at SummerSlam


Slater is shown asking Arn Anderson to be his tag team partner. Anderson is unhappy to find out he wasn't the first choice and walks away.
We see Rhyno walk up and suggest he and Slater partner up.


Dean Ambrose is interviewed backstage and he says he doesn't care who he faces at Backlash. He is wearing a foam cowboy hat and has a coffee delivered by a waitress while he is talking

AJ Styles won.  The match at backlash is just between AJ and Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Championship.

They stare each other down to close the show.

RAW

We see a recap of Finn Balor defeating Seth Rollins last night at SummerSlam for the Universal Championship.


Finn Balor will relinquish the Universal Title due to his injuries at SummerSlam and will be out of action for at least six months.



Stephanie and Mick Foley introduce the Universal Champion Finn Balor to the ring, and he is wearing a sling on his arm.


Balor says the title represents a lifetime of sacrifices and the ability to achieve anything. He says he wants to thank WWE for the opportunity, and the talent in the back. He actually thanks Rollins.

He relinquishes the belt to Foley, with some hesitation.

As Balor is leaving up the ramp, Seth Rollins comes out  He smirks as he passes Balor on his way to the ring.

Seth suggest he get the title, but then Sami Zayn came out

Before Zayn can even say anything, Chris Jericho comes out , Kevin Owens is not far behind.
Then Enzo and Cass come out.

Roman Reigns come out.
Foley says everyone in the ring deserves a shot, so they will hold a series of matches to crown a new champion next week, and the first one will happen right now.
Sami Zayn will take on Rollins in the first match.

Jericho does come out to play a distraction but Neville took him out.

The New Day came out they've been tag team champions for exactly one year as of today. They have a pinata and a kendo stick with them to celebrate

They thank the fans for being vocal during the good times and the bad. Before they can break the pinata, Gallows and Anderson come out to spoil their fun.
They remind New Day they lost by DQ last night and say they deserve a rematch for the tag titles.

Titus O'Neil is in the ring. He reminds us how it was PTP who lost the titles to New Day one year ago.
He says it was the best thing that could have happened because he was able to drop Darren Young. 

He says Bob Backlund can't make Young great again since he wasn't great to begin with. He blames all his problems on Young.

He invites Young to the ring but nothing happens.

Backlund runs to the ring and Titus goes after him. Backlund puts him in the Cross Face Chicken Wing, but Titus gets out of it and slams him to the mat. 
Young runs to the ring and checks on Backlund. O'Neil grabs him and hits Clash of the Titus. 



We see a recap of what happen in Brock vs. Orton at SummerSlam

Stephanie says Lesnar crossed a line and there will be repercussions

The New Women's Champion Charlotte comes out with Dana Brooke

Charlotte says she is greatest athlete in the world and brags about exposing Sasha for what she really is.
It's a quick promo. As she tries to leave, Mick Foley comes out. He says Banks will get a rematch after she is cleared. Charlotte says she should get the night off since she won last night.
He says they have signed the hottest free agent of the new era, and he brings out Bayley.
Bayley says she can't believe this is happening and asks if Foley will give her a hug. Charlotte says there is a reason Bayley was left behind when the rest of the Four Horsewomen were called up. 
Bayley challenges her to a title match. Charlotte says she has to earn it, and she suggests a match with Dana. Foley agrees and books the match.

Sheamus is interviewed about his Best of Seven series with Cesaro. He says Cesaro is like the Suicide Squad, full of hype, but he underdelivers.

Strowman makes the ref count to three again after he takes out the jobber with another big move.



The Dudley Boyz come out to say goodbye to WWE Universe.

Bubba says he might get emotional tonight and talks about how they returned one year ago in this very building, they returned to WWE. 
They talk about making history for the past 20 years, and bring up the TLC match with the Hardys and Edge and Christian.
They thank the crowd and say they are honored to end their careers in front of their hometown crowd. Then The Shining Stars' music hits and they come out
Primo and Epico say they got Bubba and D-Von economy tickets to Puerto Rico, but they pit the people who will have to sit next to them.
The Dudleys take them out and hit the 3D and the Wasssup headbutt. Bubba calls for a table.
They set up Primo to put him through the table, but they are attacked by Anderson and Gallows.

Was that truly the last we seen of the Dudley Boyz? I feel they truly didn't retire on their terms.


Roman Reigns vs. Jericho

Kevin Owens came out to try to cause distraction but Reigns still won.


Roman Reigns won and advances to the fatal 4 way next week on RAW for the Universal Title.

it was a decent show. Great matches. But why didn't we get anything answer as to what Brock Lesnar's punishment is. But we'll probably get it soon. But it was decent show as I said.

Jon Stewart gets in the ring and he distracts them long enough for Woods to attempt a comeback. Stewart refuses to leave the ring, so Anderson and Gallows signal another trip to the ring post for one of their patients.
Right before they can do it, Big E rushes the ring and takes out both men, causing a DQ.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson won by DQ 
Big E destroys both men before celebrating with Woods and Kofi.

Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE World Championship 
Shane & Bryan are in ring for this match!

Naomi and Carmella and Becky Lynch vs. Natalya and Alexa Bliss and Nikki Bella 
They play Eva Marie's music, but then the announcer says she is suffering from exhaustion, so she is on vacation. Their new partner is Nikki Bella!

Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor For the WWE Universal Championship W/ Mick Foley and Stephanie at ring side next to the new red Universal Title!
Finn Balor and is now the First Ever Universal Champion! 

Rusev vs. Roman Reigns for the US Title
Rusev attacks Reigns as he is getting in the ring and they starts brawling at ringside. Rusev sends him into the steel steps on each side of the ring.
Reigns sends him into the timekeeper's area and it takes several officials to break them up. Reigns gets back to Rusev and they keep fighting.
Reigns grabs a chair and slams it into the back of Rusev before getting back on him.
Once the ref finally break them up, Reigns is sent to the back.
As Rusev is slowly making his way back up the ramp, Reigns comes flying down the ramp with a huge Spear.

I was looking forward to this match! Will we get it on RAW? 


Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton 
Brock Lesnar won via TKO

Lesnar gets back on Orton again and keeps punching him in the head. Shane comes out to try and put a stop to this. Lesnar gets in his face and refuses to let him get to Orton.
Lesnar grabs Shane and hits him with an F-5. Heyman screams "What did you do!" The show goes off the air with Lesnar walking up the ramp as Orton and Shane try to recover.

Awesome main event! Brock is insane!

It was a great show it could've been better but most of the show was awesome!

Austin Aries is attacking Jose after the match, Hideo Itami's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. He gets in the ring and comes face to face with Aries.
Austin Aries kicks him in the gut, but Itami takes him out with a series of well placed strikes. He takes him out with the GTS, which gets the crowd on their feet.

Asuka bends down and extends a hand to Bayley. She lifts her up and they hug as the crowd cheers for them both.
Bayley crouches down and cries as Asuka leaves with the title. After Asuka's music is done playing, the crowd chants Bayley's name and gives her a standing ovation.
Was that a stand off for Bayley? Is she is heading to the main roster?. What if she shows up at SummerSlam ? Interesting thoughts! Could she be the partner for Natalya and Alexa Bliss? I can't wait to see! 
She gives Becky, Sasha and Charlotte quick hugs as she heads to the back.

Enzo & Cass are amazing and I am still rooting for them but Owens & Jericho have their ways!

Winner: The Club! It is time for new tag team champions! The New Day have been awesome at being champions but I think it is time for a change!

I have been hearing this rumor of Bill Goldberg interfering in the match causing Randy to win to build up the possibility of Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33! I feel it is possible but I have a feeling it won't happen we'll see though! 



Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor (WWE Universal Championship Match)

Oh this is hard! This match is going to be incredible!

Winner: Seth Rollins! But I just feel Finn should get it! But I am going to stick with Rollins! Either way they both will put on a match of the year moment at SummerSlam!

General Manager William Regal books Billie Kay to face the debuting Ember Moon this Saturday.



Carmella, Liv Morgan and Nikki Glencross defeated Daria, Mandy Rose and Alexa Bliss.



Shinsuke Nakamura & Samoa Joe sit-down interview


They discuss their match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, they have a heated interview between each other. Which causes Samoa Joe to try to jump up and wanted to get to Nakamura but the two of them was separated by security guards. The show ends with Regal appearing to be mad at how the interview ended. But it was bound to happen though.

This match is going to be insane.

Great show and matches. but also had incredible video packages for many of the matches for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and a great show down between Nakamura and Samoa Joe.

SmackDown Live

The show opens with Shane and Bryan backstage with Orton having him sign a contract for his match with Brock Lesnar. Then we see Heath Slater walk in with a fruit basket. The card says "To Bob, my condolences"

Maryse welcomes us to MizTV. Before Miz can say a full sentence, Dean Ambrose's music interrupts him. Then Ambrose is interrupted by Ziggler.


Ambrose and Ziggler  give us an awesome exchange.

Dean Ambrose said at SummerSlam You're gonna prove... you didn't want it BAD enough.

Dolph Ziggler delivered one heck of a promo. One of the best I've seen in awhile from Ziggler.

To end the segment Dolph Ziggler takes down the Champ with a surprise superkick

We see a clip from a segment during the break where Apollo Crews came out and attacked The Miz for calling him Apollo Creed.


12 Man Tag Team Match

The Usos,  Hype Bros, American Alpha vs. Breezango, The Ascension, The Vaudevillians

The Usos, Hype Bros, American Alpha won.



Naomi makes her way out with her new entrance gimmick, which is basically a lot of glow-in-the-dark clothing


Then Eva Marie's music hits and the announcer for her entrance says she has been delayed due to traffic.



We see AJ Styles running into Alberto Del Rio backstage. He says he is jealous of Del Rio for getting the chance to beat up Cena tonight.
Del Rio tells him to back off. Styles mocks him for not being on the SummerSlam card before walking away.



Randy Orton vs. Heath Slater

Heath Slater won by DQ

Orton tosses Slater out of the ring and throws him over the announce table. Orton continues to systematically destroy Slater with everything.
He finally rolls Slater in the ring for an RKO, but he changes his mind and delivers a German suplex. He does Lesnar's signature bounce to mock him before going back for another German suplex.
He coils up and nails the RKO.


Slater is shown being checked on by a trainer backstage when Shane and Bryan walk in clapping. they congratulate him on winning his match and getting a contract.
Slater confuses Bryan with Foley, but he still gets his contract. Then he tells Shane he looks beautiful because he thinks it's Stephanie. Then Shane pulls it away and walks out, so it looks like he doesn't get a contract.

Carmella and Becky Lynch vs. Natalya and Alexa Bliss

Then Eva Marie's music hits and she comes out acting like it's time for her match.
Naomi's music hits and she comes out to confront the woman who bailed on their match. She chases Eva around and into the ring, but ends up getting tosses out by Natalya.
Becky locks Natalya in the DisArmHer and picks up the win.

After the break we see Baron Corbin attacking Kalisto backstage again.


Video package for Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar a match 15 Years in the making.


Announced for SummerSlam: Naomi and Carmella and Becky Lynch vs. Natalya and Alexa Bliss and Eva Marie.



John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio W/ AJ Styles on commentary at ringside.

John Cena won

AJ Styles comes in with a Phenomenal Forearm to take out John Cena.

Styles grabs a mic and delivers a promo to Cena about how it's his time now. He tries to hit a Styles Clash, but Cena drops him with an AA and then goes out to take apart the announce table.
He grabs the steel steps and sets them up next to the table. He grabs Styles and climbs the stairs with him on his shoulders. He puts Styles through the table with an AA to end the show.

Will this be the scene come SummerSlam?

RAW

Recap of what happened last week on RAW is shown.

Rusev and Lana are in the ring

Rusev says there will be no Raw tonight until Reigns comes out and apologizes. A loud USA chant breaks out as Rusev continues yelling.
Then Mick Foley's music hits and he comes out to tell Rusev he can't do this. Rusev refuses to leave and says he deserves to be shown respect.

Rusev says Foley isn't the real power and asks for Stephanie to come out, which she does. .
She gets pissed that Rusev says he wants respect, but won't show it to Foley. says if anyone deserves to be respected, it's Foley.
He threatens to defect to SmackDown, which is when Roman Reigns' music hits

Reigns says he found the website where Rusev met Lana and mocks the kind of babies they will have.
Reigns says he doesn't want to wait until SummerSlam and Foley has to get between them. Rusev says this is about his wife's honor, so Foley books them to face each other tonight in a non-title match.


Byron does a quick interview with Sheamus about interfering in Cesaro's match against Rusev last week.


Sheamus vs. Sami Zayn w/ Cesaro on commentary.

Sami Zayn won with the help of the distraction of Cesaro.


Tom Philips interviews Y2J and KO. Both men call Tom by the wrong name while they talk about having each other's backs. KO will face Big Cass tonight in a singles match.


We see Sheamus and Cesaro arguing backstage with a few officials holding them apart. Foley comes in to break it up and yell at them for being unprofessional.
He books them in a Best of Seven Series, beginning at SummerSlam


The New Day vs. Dudley Boyz

Before the match starts, Anderson and Gallows appear on the big screen dressed as doctors mocking Big E's crotch injury.

The New Day won.

Woods and Kofi give a promo saying they will retain while Dr. Gallows and Dr. Anderson watch from the screen



Nia Jax vs. Rachel Levy

Lesnar and Heyman make their way out to the ring
Lesnar looks very happy as the crowd chants Suplex City. As Heyman is about to start talking, Heath Slater interrupts.
Heyman says he would never represent Slater, and Slater says that's not what he wants. He says he has been given another opportunity to win a contract if he beats Brock Lesnar tonight.
Slater pleads his case, saying he has a family to support and he would never actually want to face Lesnar if he had a choice.
Brock Lesnar says he can appreciate Slater's position and says he has guts. He says he has kids, too, and he invites Slater into the ring. He says he doesn't give a **** about Slater's kids, and they have to censor him.
He gives Slater the choice of walking out on his own two feet or continuing to stand there and piss him off. Slater looks like he is going to leave, but he turns to attack, only to get taken out by Lesnar.
Slater takes multiple German suplexes before being F-5'd and kicked out of the ring.
After Slater is helped to the back, Heyman gives one of his  promos to hype Lesnar's match with Orton at SummerSlam.



KO vs. Big Cass w/ Enzo Amore and Jericho at ring side.

Jericho takes out Enzo, which leads to Jericho assaulting Big Cass, forcing a DQ.

JeriKO team up on Cass and hit him with a superkick/codebreaker combo

Rusev attacks Reigns backstage and ends up throwing him onto a table full of food before Fit Finlay and some officials break it up.



Prime Time Players vs. Shining Stars

Young makes the tag and he lets Titus suplex him onto Primo. He hits a big overhead throw, but ends up getting knocked into Titus, knocking him off the apron.

Titus comes in and hits Young with Clash of the Titus,  ending their short-lived reunion. Primo and Epico pick up the win thanks to Titus

Jinder Mahal vs. Neville


Neville won


Foley is shown telling Stephanie that he got Jon Stewart to be a special guest at SummerSlam. Seth Rollins walks in looking for Finn Balor.
He asks for the night off, but Foley thinks he should call out Balor from the ring before heading home.
Rollins in the ring. He says nobody can stop him from winning the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.
He says Balor won't come to the ring because he is scared. He suddenly gets distracted by something. Appears to be someone trying to come in but security stopped the person.
As Rollins talks, some weird audio starts playing and the lights go out. Then Balor's music hits and out comes the Demon King
Rollins and Balor come face to face as This is Awesome chants ring throughout the arena.
Rollins takes the first swing and they start fighting. Balor hits a running dropkick before the trade Pele kicks. Balor gets the upper hand, but Rollins avoids the double stomp.
Balor chases and hits a dive over the top rope to take him down before rolling back in the ring to celebrate.



Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs. Golden Truth

The New Day attack Gallows and Anderson from behind.


Charlotte vs. Alicia Fox w/ Sasha Banks on commentary

Charlotte won

Banks comes to the ring for a confrontation when Dana Brooke distracts her so Charlotte can lock her in the Figure Eight.
Charlotte keeps the hold on as long as she can while a pair of refs try to pull them apart.


Rusev vs. Roman Reigns

Reigns and Rusev starts throwing punches before the match even has a chance to start. Rusev turns things around and gets in some big right hands.
Reigns bounces back and hits a boot to the face. Rusev drives Reigns into the barricade and the ring post while the ref continues trying to pull them apart. We go to a break with them still fighting at ringside.

Roman Reigns won. Lana seemed disappointed in Rusev for not defending her honor. Reigns is seen celebrating as RAW goes off air.

Will this be the scene come SummerSlam? Will we see a new United States Champion?

Asuka & Bayley sign the contract for their Women’s title match in Brooklyn. They stare each other down before Asuka leaves.


The Authors of Pain defeated Adrian Nails and Rob Ryzin

The Authors of Pain tried to attack after the bell, but TM61 ran to the ring, only to get taken out. The Authors Of Pain stand tall.



Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Angelo Dawkins


Almas was interrupted by Bobby Roode, who clapped for Almas and told him they would face each other at NXT Takeover: Back To Brooklyn.


Austin Aries came in William Regal's office frustrated that everyone had an opponent for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn  but him, and then Regal said he is right and he'll face No Way Jose at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn  whom he has been avoiding lately.



Billie Kay defeated Liv Morgan


Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa  will face The Revival for the NXT Tag Team Championships at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn


Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Tucker Knight and Patrick Clark in a quick match



Hideo Itami returns to action next week




Samoa Joe vs. Mojo Rawley


Samoa Joe won


After the match, Joe locks in the clutch again but Nakamura's music hits and he releases. Nakamura makes his way to the ring but security beats him to the punch and holds Joe back. As Joe fights security, Nakamura pinches Joe's nose and laughs. Another slap from Nakamura to the champ as we go off the air.

I look forward to watching Nakamura vs. Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn for the NXT Championship.

SmackDown Live

The show opens with Randy Orton walking backstage. He is interviewed about facing Del Rio tonight and Lesnar at SummerSlam. Del Rio walks up and they trade insults. Del Rio threatens to break his arm tonight before walking away.


Bray Wyatt makes his way to the ring with Erick Rowan by his side.

Wyatt says he didn't lose to Dolph Ziggler last week. He was a victim of deception because Ziggler used the exposed turnbuckle to beat him.
Dean Ambrose comes out and mocks him for claiming to be the victim.
Wyatt dares him to come in the ring. Ambrose says he won't fall for his tricks. This brings out Ziggler, who rushes the ring and goes after Rowan. Wyatt takes him out, so Ambrose comes in and evens the odds.
Ziggler tries to superkick Wyatt, but Bray puts Ambrose in between them and he takes the kick instead. Then Wyatt hits Sister Abigail on Ziggler.



American Alpha vs. Mikey O'Shea and Mike Vega  W/ The Ascension, The Vaudevillians, Hype Bros at ringside


American Alpha won
A huge brawl breaks out between the four teams in the ring. American Alpha was left standing tall.



The Miz and Maryse is on talking smack being interviewed to discuss his opponent Apollo Crews for SummerSlam for the IC Title but The Miz and Maryse is too into each other to really discuss it.


Becky Lynch vs. Eva Marie

It didn't happen again. This time due to a wardrobe malfunction, but probably another fake moment again by Eva Marie.


Becky says she is here to fight and challenges someone from the back to come meet her. Alexa Bliss' music hits and she heads to the ring.

Alexa Bliss won. But with the help of the distraction of Eva Marie coming out during the match.



Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton

Heath Slater is shown trying to bargain with Rhyno to let him win so he can get a contract. Rhyno says he can't help him out and walks away.


Heath Slater vs. Rhyno- if Slater wins he'll get a contract to SD Live.

Carmella vs. Natalya

Carmella won


After the break we see Baron Corbin beating Kalisto into a pulp in the locker room. He says the beatdown was for costing him the IC title.

Dean Ambrose took out Ziggler with Dirty Deeds to stand tall and walk out the ring up the ramp to close the show.

RAW

We see an recap of what happened last week on RAW.


Enzo and Cass opens RAW

Enzo talks about how he was hitting on Sasha Banks last week, and he thinks he won her over. He says she was smitten with him, and quotes part of a Sublime song.
He starts talking about Chris Jericho.
Chris Jericho comes out.
After Y2J delivers a few insults, he is joined on the stage by Kevin Owens, his new best friend. They head to the ring so they can speak with Enzo and Cass face to face.
Cass makes some Bert and Ernie jokes about Jericho and Owens.
Owens says Cass is carrying dead weight by partnering with Enzo
Cass suggests they settle things right now.

Enzo Amore vs. Chris Jericho. W/ Big Cass and Kevin Owens at ringside.

Jericho won by DQ with the help of the distraction of KO and then Big Cass came and kicked Jericho in the face.

Big Cass gets on the mic and issues a challenge to Jericho and Kevin Owens for SummerSlam and KO accepts the challenge.


Mick Foley is shown talking to Stephanie on the phone when Sasha Banks walks in. She suggests her title match at SummerSlam be a handicap match with Charlotte and Dana Brooke so she can keep an eye on Dana instead of having to worry about her outside the ring.
Foley suggests a singles match with Dana. If Banks wins, Dana is banned from SummerSlam, but if she loses, her the match turns into a handicap match.

Titus O'Neil vs. Darren Young W/ Bob Backlund

Darren Young won



Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring to talk about his SummerSlam match against Finn Balor.
Rollins says Balor is to him as Leto is to Ledger.
He says after what happened last week, he had to reevaluate his opinion of Finn Balor, and he shows a replay of their encounter.
Rollins says Finn Balor isn't even his real name.
He then proceeds to say that this is his ring and Balor won't beat him at SummerSlam
He also mocks Balor for taking parts of his character from Demon Kane.
Rollins gets fired up when talking about having to work hard for everything he has ever earned in this business.
I am not arrogant because I KNOW my place in WWE right at the TOP.

Great promo but I am shocked that Balor didn't show up.

This match will be insane.

Rusev and Lana celebrate their love
Rusev is heading to the ring. Lana comes out to wedding music in her wedding dress. Photos of their wedding day is shown.
Lana says they will reenact their wedding day so we can all experience what true love looks like.
The crowd is chanting boring after a slideshow of wedding pictures is shown. Rusev says he knows the crowd wants more, but those are the only pictures he brought.
Roman Reigns comes out to ruin things for the love birds.
Reigns points out that Rusev doesn't have a best man, so he is there to fill the position. Rusev says he doesn't want Reigns to toast them, so Reigns issues a challenge for the U.S. title at SummerSlam.
Rusev says no, so Reigns pours himself a glass of champagne and says he always wanted to see a wedding with a mail order bride.
Reigns makes a joke about Rusev not being enough man for Lana, so Rusev attacks.
Reigns fights back and they brawl. Thanks to a mistake from Rusev, Lana ends up with her face smashed in one of the cakes. Reigns walks away laughing as Lana screams her head off.

Sasha Banks vs. Dana Brooke W/ Charlotte at ringside- If Sasha Banks wins Dana Brooke is banned from the match SummerSlam, but if Dana Brooke wins it comes an handicap match.

Sasha Banks won. Dana Brooke is banned from the Women's Title Match at SummerSlam.



Video package for Finn Balor talking about his opponent Seth Rollins and their match at SummerSlam and he ended the promo by saying, "At SummerSlam, you''ll meet the Demon King"



Kofi Kingston vs. Luke Gallows W/ Anderson and Xavier Woods at ringside.

Mick Foley brings out Daniel Bryan

Bryan compliments Foley on how he has been doing running Raw, and Foley tells him he is doing good on SmackDown and with commentary on the Cruiserweight Classic.

Things quickly get tense when Foley shows a clip of Bryan mocking the Universal Championship on Talking Smack.
Rusev comes out and says Raw doesn't need another champion besides him
Cesaro comes out and mocks Rusev for having his celebration ruined by Reigns. He says he deserves a championship opportunity for defeating Sheamus twice in a row.
Bryan says Cesaro is being underutilized on Raw and the crowd chants YES!
Foley books Cesaro vs. Rusev for the title for right now.


Brock Lesnar returns to Next Week on RAW



Cesaro vs. Rusev for the U.S. Title

Rusev won with the help of Sheamus getting involved and then Rusev poked Cesaro in the eye to retain. Rusev was going to walk out the arena when Roman Reigns speared him and stood tall to close the show.

WWE NXT

Hideo Itami defeated CWC competitor Sean Maluta



Mojo Rawley versus Chris Atkins
Samoa Joe ran down and took out both competitors, causing the no contest.


Backstage segment with Bayley. She says it's time for her to adapt and prepare for NXT Women's Champion Asuka. Bayley says she's been watching Asuka. Asuka interrupts and tells Bayley to watch first hand.

Asuka vs. Aliyah.

Asuka won

Before the match, Asuka took a chair and put it at the bottom of the ramp, then dared Bayley to come sit in it. Bayley folded the chair up and watched from ringside. Asuka applies the Asuka Lock for the win. She doesn't let the hold go, prompting Bayley to come in and break it up. Asuka taunts Bayley with the belt as she checks on Aliyah.



Bobby Roode comes out for a promo and says the wait is finally over, and he is NXT. He says Dallas showed him NXT was for him. He says the phrase "We Are NXT" applies to the fans too. Roode says he's here to take NXT and the fans to the next level and that NXT and the fans need Bobby Roode. He's the man to expand the brand and make it a global powerhouse. He will be featured on billboards, commercials, and everywhere. He will make NXT a better place. Roode says presidents, vice presidents and businessmen will soon fill the NXT Arena, not the loser fans here right now. He says he's a superstar because he looks and acts like one. Roode ends it by saying he is at the helm of the new NXT, and from here on, NXT will be glorious.


Contract signing between Asuka and Bayley for their match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn for the NXT Women's Championship will take place next week.



The Revival defeated TM61

After the match, the champions cut a promo running down who they've beat. They're interrupted by Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, . They do comedy, including some Pokemon jokes. They want to college the NXT Tag Team Titles and say The Revival hasn't beat them. Dash and Dawson tell them to go back to their basements. A brawl breaks out, and Gargano and Ciampa hit their double team move. They cover Dash for a three count, then celebrate with the titles.
