SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with Shinsuke Nakamura being introduced as the winner of the Royal Rumble match.

Nakamura talks about eliminating some of the biggest stars in WWE today during the Rumble match. He says he will do the same thing to AJ Styles at WrestleMania. As he points to the WM sign, Kevin Owens' music hits and he walks to the ring with Sami Zayn.

Owens and Zayn say they were screwed out of the WWE title by bad officiating. Shinsuke calls then losers and it looks like things might break down into a fight, but they are interrupted by AJ Styles.

Styles suggests he and Nakamura should team up to battle Zayn and Owens tonight. KO and Sami look like they are going to agree, but then they say "Nope." AJ and Shinsuke kick them off the apron to end the segment.


Bryan books Owens and Zayn vs. Nakamura and Styles for later tonight, but the real bad news is they will face each other next week and the winner will face AJ Styles for the WWE Title at Fastlane.



Rusev  vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jinder Mahal  vs. Zack Ryder in a Fatal 4 Way #1 Contender for the US Title

Rusev won and is the #1 Contender to the US Title and will face Bobby Roode  NEXT WEEK for the US Title
After a quick segment with Gable and Benjamin, The Ascension and Breezango.

The Usos make their way to the ring. They talk about all the teams they have defeated as champions. They give an energetic promo, and surprisingly, nobody comes out to interrupt them until they are ready to 
leave. The lights in the arena go out and The Bludgeon Brothers start heading to the ring.

Charlotte comes out and talks about Ronda Rousey's debut and who she should face at WrestleMania. This brings out The Riott Squad

The Riott Squad attacks Charlotte, but The Queen is able to fight them off all by herself. They regroup and gang up on her to finally get the upper hand. Ruby hits the Riott Kick to finish her off.


Carmella runs down to cash in her MITB contract, but when she tries to kick Charlotte, she accidentally hits the ref and knocks him out of the ring. Charlotte recovers and Carmella storms off with her briefcase.

Zayn gives a quick interview backstage and says he and Owens are still friends, but they know this opportunity they have is bigger than they are and he vows to defeat Owens next week. Nakamura and Styles celebrate their win to close out a intense episode of SmackDown.

RAW

The show opens with a quick recap of the Royal Rumble.

Stephanie McMahon heads to the ring to kick off the show. Michael Cole and Corey Graves welcome back The Coach to the commentary team. Stephanie talks about everything that happened in the women's Rumble match.

McMahon brings out Asuka to celebrate her victory last night. Stephanie announces the first women's Elimination Chamber match before allowing Asuka to address the crowd. She says everything in English and Japanese. She says she will become the champion at WrestleMania, and this brings out Sasha Banks.
Banks says she proved last night she is ready for Asuka and challenges her to a match tonight. Stephanie books the match.



Braun Strowman comes out for a Last Man Standing Elimination Chamber qualifying match and he immediately starts taking chairs and tables out from under the ring.

Braun takes part of the stage the announce table is on and flips it over onto Kane.

Kurt Angle finds Braun backstage and starts yelling at him. Strowman says Angle is lucky he didn't do more to Kane and he vows to be the last man standing inside the chamber.

Elias won thanks to Bray Wyatt distracting Matt but Elias is going to be in the Elimination Chamber!

This rating absolutely goes to the Women’s Royal Rumble Match! The PPV was amazing and had so many great matches and returns. Now we’re on the road to WrestleMania 34!

SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn making their way to the ring.

Owens and Zayn talk about their upcoming WWE title match against AJ Styles and how the Yep Movement is about more than just a one-syllable word. They are confident they will leave the Rumble with the WWE title and become the first co-champions in the belt's history. Then Sami says after they take his title, they are going to hurt Styles. This brings out aJ Styles to respond.
He vows to make sure Owens and Zayn never become champions. KO says AJ may be phenomenal, but he is also predictable. 
After they trade some more insults, we end up with AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens and AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn immediately after for later tonight. Daniel Bryan came out, but AJ agreed to the matches before Bryan could book them against his wishes.

Bryan and Shane run into each other backstage and McMahon questions why AJ is in two matches tonight. Bryan says he wasn't going to book those matches, but Styles agreed to do it anyway. Shane implies he no longer thinks Bryan can do the job.

Carmella, Natalya, Lana and Becky Lynch come to ringside to watch. 
Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan attack Naomi, but Becky comes in to even the odds.
All the women at ringside get involved in the brawl and it ends with Natalya turning on Carmella and laying her out before Becky and Naomi chase her off. Becky tries to throw Naomi over the top rope to show that it's every woman for herself on Sunday. Charlotte comes out and hypes the women's Rumble match. 

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin 
As Nakamura lines up for the Kinshasa, Orton appears from out of nowhere and hits him with the RKO. Then he does the same thing to Corbin.

Shane McMahon says if KO or Zayn interferes in each 
other's matches they will be fired on the spot.

Owens limps to the back for help while Sami keeps going after Styles before their match has even officially started. He brings AJ out of the ring and whips him into the steel steps

RAW 25

The show opens with The King and JR with the old siren playing in the background. Then we see Cole, Booker and Graves dressed in tuxedos.
Shane and Stephanie get in the ring and thank all the wrestlers and behind-the-scenes employees who have made Raw special for the past 25 years. They throw to a video package of some of Raw's best moments.

Vince is greeted with chants of "Thank you, Vince" and he thinks it's something negative until Stephanie tells him what they are saying. He jokes like is just there to smell the roses and tries to leave, but Stephanie stops him, so she and Shane can give him a plaque.

As Vince continues ranting about how he made Raw a success all by himself, Stone Cold's music hits and he marches to the ring. 
Vince tells Austin time has not been kind to him as a way of trying to avoid a Stunner and lists a bunch of ailments he is suffering from. Then he says Shane is in his prime to throw him under the bus. Austin grabs Shane's hand and raises it before giving him the Stunner.
Vince grabs a pair of beers and proposes a toast.
Vince hands Austin a beer and they embrace in a hug. McMahon tries to leave, but he turns and sees Austin staring a hole right through him. Austin toasts him and delivers one last Stunner after flipping him the bird. What a way to start of RAW 25!

Asuka celebrates with her team until she decides to turn on them and lays out everyone with vicious kicks. She ends the segment dancing in the ring while her teammates recover outside the ring.

After the break, JR and The King throw to a video package of The Undertaker's best moments on Raw
After the video, Taker appears in the aisle and slowly walks to the ring.
The Undertaker waits for the chants to die down before he talks about how Raw got its start in the very arena he stands in tonight. He mentions some of the biggest names he has faced over the years who have fallen to his Tombstone.

Several former general managers are brought out after the break to pay tribute. Eric Bischoff, John Laurinaitis and William Regal are all out before Daniel Bryan comes out last to get a YES chant going. The Miz and Miztourage came out to the stage. Miz smiles at him before he heads to the ring.


Roman Reigns (c) vs. The Miz for the IC Title 
The Miz won and is the NEW Intercontinental Champion! This makes his 8th IC Title! 

Christian welcomes us to another episode of The Peep Show. His guests are Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan.
Jordan gets some major heat as soon as he opens his mouth. Every time he tries to start over, the boos get louder.
Cesaro and Sheamus come out to taunt the champions. They say all the legends backstage have been lining up to take pictures with them. Jordan attacks and Rollins has no 
choice but to back up his partner. He accidentally takes out Jordan when he tries to hit Cesaro with a springboard knee. The Bar laughs as they head up the ramp.

After the break, JoJo introduces several women who have made an impact on Raw over the years. The list keeps growing and growing as more are brought out. Lita wasn’t there though! 

Elias runs into Y2J backstage and Jericho sings him a song he wrote about not wanting to walk with Elias. He adds Elias to The List of Jericho. He ironically mocks Elias' scarves as he walks away.


Elias comes out and talks about the legends being backstage tonight. He says they need to hear his newest song, but the crowd just keeps chanting "Stupid idiot." He threatens to walk off without playing, but he says he couldn't do that in front of Jimmy Fallon, who is seated at ringside.
John Cena's music hits to interrupt Elias. The Drifter bails before Cena makes it to the ring.
Elias tells Cena to shut up and says he ruined his performance. Cena tells him to do something about it and takes off his shirt. Elias tries to attack him from behind, but Cena sees it coming and takes him down for the Five-Knuckle Shuffle. Elias counters the AA and nails Cena with a low blow. He grabs his guitar and smashes it over Cena's head and back. He ends the segment by hitting Drift Away.


Slater and Rhyno vs. Titus Worldwide
We return from the commercial to see a brawl breaking out with all four men. The ref calls for the bell. The Dudley Boyz' music hits and they make their way 
to the ring.
 Rhyno and Titus Worldwide throw Slater to the wolves. They hit a couple of their trademark moves on him before putting him through a table with a 3D.

AJ Styles brings out Mean Gene Okerlund to interview him 
about his match with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, known collectively as Kami.


DX heads to the ring for its latest reunion.
HBK tries to tell some old stories, but Triple H keeps telling 
him they can't repeat those stories now. Michaels complains that he used to be the boss of the group and now Trips is the boss of everything. Hunter gets the crowd hyped up by talking about how Raw got its start in the very building they are standing in.

Triple H talks about Rick Rude and Chyna being part of their early success as he recalls how the group broke new ground 
every week. Then he brings out the rest of the group.
Road Dogg does his signature intro for the New Age Outlaws before he brings out X-Pac
X-Pac says the celebration wouldn't be complete without 
Scott Hall. The Bad Guy heads to 
the ring. Eventually, The Balor Club heads to the ring. 
The Balor Club and DX puts up the Too Sweet sign and comes together. The Revival's music hits and the come out to spoil the party.

Everyone in DX takes turns hitting moves on Dawson and Wilder
Kurt Angle comes to the ring with a group of legends and Superstars to watch the final segment with Lesnar, Kane and Strowman.

All the Superstars in the ring bail when Lesnar starts heading to the ring. Braun lays out Kane, so he can go after Lesnar, but Brock gets the upper hand. Braun comes back and clotheslines Lesnar over the top rope and throws him into the barricade. He clears off an announce table and powerslams Brock through it. 

The show ends with Strowman standing tall in the ring.


Rating: 90/90
I thought it was AWESOME! What a show! Wish there was more matches and less commercials. But, for a big WWE fan and who misses this type of generation feel to wrestling I loved it. I am excited for Royal Rumble.

Xavier Woods vs. Jinder Mahal (U.S. Title Tournament Semifinals) 

Jinder Mahal won 

Baron Corbin delivers a promo declaring he will win the Royal Rumble after the Woods vs. Mahal match is over. Corbin looked convincing when he said he was going to throw anyone who got in his way out of the ring.



Styles gives a quick interview where he names the team of Owens and Zayn "Kami." He says he will win their handicap match at The Royal Rumble. Then we get a video package with different people saying they will win the women's Rumble match.



Mojo Rawley vs. Bobby Roode (U.S. Title Tournament Semifinals)

The Singh Brothers ambush Roode after the match. Mahal talks some trash from the apron and says he will end Roode's charade. Roode grabs a mic and says they can fight tonight if Mahal is man enough. The Maharaja declines and says they will do it on his time. He says he wants Roode to have a week to think about how he will be embarrassed next week. Daniel Bryan comes out on the stage and says they will have the U.S. title match tonight.

 The Usos are giving an interview backstage when Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable blindside them and leave them knocked out.

After a video package airs for AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, Shane McMahon heads to the ring to watch Roode battle Mahal for the U.S. Title

RAW

The show opens with a recap of the destruction caused by Braun Strowman when he tore down part of the stage onto Brock Lesnar and Kane last week.

The Monster Among Men comes out. He tells a story about how he will win the Universal Championship at the Rumble. Then Kurt Angle comes out with several security guards.

Angle says Strowman put lives in danger and cost the company thousands of dollars in broken equipment. Braun says it could have been a lot worse, but Kurt argues that it's his job to keep everyone backstage safe. Angle says things get settled in the ring, not with grappling hooks backstage. Strowman says he will do whatever he wants whenever he wants, and that includes tearing down Suplex City and kicking in the gates of Hell.
Angle says Strowman will not be competing at the Royal Rumble in the title match because he is fired. The crowd boos the decision as loud as it can as Angle walks away.  Braun marches up the ramp as the security guards trail behind him.

After the break, Strowman is shown attacking the team of security guards as they try to eject him from the building. He absolutely destroys all of them. One guy even takes a nice bump through a table when Braun tosses him through the air. He screams that he is not leaving until everyone "Gets these hands.



The Bar vs. Titus Worldwide

Jason Jordan comes out and distracts them so Crews can roll up Sheamus for the pin and the win. Jordan laughs while Rollins comes out and starts arguing with Jason Jordon.


Strowman is shown kicking down Angle's door backstage. Angle is not in his office, so Braun trashes it and leaves to find him.

Strowman is shown still wreaking havoc backstage in the catering area. He takes a piece of cake and walks away after destroying everything. 

Cedric Alexander vs. Tony Nese
Cedric Alexander won 

Braun breaks into one of the production trucks and orders everyone to leave. The crew sneaks back into the room after he leaves. Then the truck begins to shake and we see Braun driving away from the trailer a little bit. Angle orders him to leave, but Strowman grabs the side of the massive truck and tips it over.











Strowman grabs Michael Cole from the announce table, but he drops him when Angle comes out. He says he called off the cops and Stephanie has agreed to rehire him and put him back in the title match. He grabs Cole by the throat and throws him off the stage onto a pile of guards.




Asuka vs. Nia Jax
 Nia can't stand on her own and the ref calls for the bell, making Asuka the winner. Jax cries as she clutches her knee. Bliss runs to the ring to check on her friend. 


WWE airs a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. 


The Revival vs Two Jobbers

Dawson and Wilder say they don't care about the legends showing up next week because they are not WWE puppets. They also say they are not sports entertainers, they are pro 
wrestlers.



Elias comes out to perform his new song and he  talks about the Royal Rumble match and all the big names who will be competing, but he is only concerned with one person. John Cena. He sings a song about wanting retribution for what happened on Christmas Day.

The Miz comes out and talks about how Raw was missing something while he was gone and all the fans realized it, which is why he got such a big pop when he returned after only being gone for six weeks. He touts his upcoming show with Maryse on USA and proclaims he will win back the IC title next week at Raw25.

 Club from the stage as they celebrate. Anderson and Gallows help Balor to his feet and the crowd cheers for them. Finn seems out of it and falls back to his knees. He has a big mark above his eye. He definitely looked out of it.

SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with a recap of last week's main event.




Renee Young brings out AJ Styles at the top of the show for an interview. She immediately asks him if it's fair for him to have to defend the title in a handicap match. He says he was being sarcastic when he said he would face Owens and Zayn, but he knows he can’t take back what he said.



Styles refuses to point fingers and blame anyone for his current position despite Young needling him with questions. KO and Zayn come out on the stage to mock Styles and his nicknames. Owens claims he and Zayn will be the first ever co-champions in WWE history. Zayn keeps saying Yep to everything KO says until Shane McMahon's music hits.  

Shane books Owens and Zayn in a different handicap match against Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles for tonight. We see Shane run into Daniel Bryan backstage and they have a strange exchange, but they still shake hands.

Zack Ryder vs. Mojo Rawley (Second Round - UniversalTitle Tournament)

Mojo Rawley won and will advances to the match with Bobby Roode.

After the match, Mojo stands tall as his music hits. We get a look at the updated tournament brackets. Roode enters the ring and faces off with Mojo now. Mojo backs away while pointing at Roode. Roode does his pose as his music hits


Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin head to the ring after the break to talk about how they they felt screwed over in last week's tag title match.They complain about the circumstances surrounding their loss last week and how the second referee is to blame. Bryan comes out and says he 
understands how Gable and Benjamin feel, but he won't stand for management being targeted, and officials represent management. Bryan says the ref has the 
final say, and Benjamin says that is exactly why they should still be champions right now. Gable asks if they have to beat The Usos twice in the same night to win the title, and Bryan thinks it's a great idea. He books a 2 out of 3 falls match for the belts at Royal Rumble.

AJ Styles and Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn In a 2-on-3 Handicap Match
Sami and Kevin Owens try to leave the match, but Shane comes out and restarts it with no countouts.
Owens hits him with a chair to cause a DQ. He takes out all three opponents with the chair before trying to leave again.
Shane comes out and restarts the match again without any rules.

Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles won


The show ends with Nakamura and Orton celebrating their win.


Rating: 70/70
Great show and matches as we look onto Royal Rumble but I wish we could of seen something a bit different.
