SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with a video from Shane McMahon talking about his SummerSlam match against Kevin Owens. When we go live to the arena, KO heads to the ring. Owens jokes about Shane not being at the show tonight and how they will all get through it together. He gets serious and says Shane being gone might help improve the show. He says Shane has a stupid face a few times. Drew McIntyre comes out and attacks Owens before revealing they have a match after the break.

The King brings out Trish Stratus for The King's Court.
She says she was sad to miss the Raw reunion and praises Kelly Kelly for becoming the first woman to win the 24/7 Title. Lawler says a lot of legends wish they could have one last match. He asks if Trish feels that way and she says she will always have the itch to wrestle, but she is a mom now. That is when Charlotte's music hits.
The Queen says she should be on the SummerSlam card. She says a lot of WWE Superstars are parents and Trish shouldn't use that as an excuse. She challenges Trish to a match at SummerSlam. Charlotte tells Stratus to get out of her ring if she can't hang with The Queen. Trish says Charlotte wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the work done by the past generation. She accepts Charlotte's challenge.


Dolph Ziggler vs. Finn Balor
Balor knocks Dolph out of the ring and prepares to hit a dive when Bray Wyatt's new sound effects play. The lights go out and he appears on the stage. The lights go out again and he disappears. Finn turns around and gets drilled with a superkick to give Ziggler the win.

Reigns is shown walking to his interview when a bunch of equipment falls on him. He ends up being fine because some other boxes blocked the impact. He refuses medical help and walks away.

RAW


Raw opens with a special video looking at the 24/7 Title.



R-Truth (c) and Carmella vs. Drake Maverick and Renee Michelle in a Mosh Pit Mixed Tag Match for the 24/7 Title


Superstars are surrounding the ring for this mixed tag match.



R-Truth and Carmella won


R-Truth celebrates with his title until everyone around the ring gets in and attacks him. Everyone piles on top of him and the ref counts the pin. Mike Kanellis emerges with the title and runs away with it. He is the new 24/7 Champion.


Maria helps Mike evade everyone backstage by pretending to be in pain from her pregnancy. When Mike won't open the door, she threatens to kick him in his vagina.



 Gauntlet Match



Ricochet won and will go on to face AJ Styles at SummerSlam for the USTitle.



Kayla Braxton interviews Ricochet after the match and he says he will make everyone believe in him at SummerSlam by beating Styles. AJ is shown laughing backstage.



Maria forces Mike to let her pin him to win the 24/7 Title. She leaves the room and brags about being the first pregnant champion while everyone just looks on. Nobody will try to pin a pregnant woman.





The Revival (c) vs. The Usos vs. Gallows and Anderson in a Triple Threat Match for the RAW Tag Team Titles



Gallows and Anderson won and become the NEW RAW Tag Team Champions




The Viking Raiders vs. Jobbers

Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss





The Man gets back up and misses a spin kick before hitting it on the second try. She throws Alexa with a Bexploder and she grabs her ankle. A doctor comes over to check on her as she cries in pain. The ref calls off the match and declares Lynch as the winner.





Nikki Cross vs. Becky Lynch



Becky Lynch won



Bliss shows she was faking the injury when she attacks Becky after the match. Natalya drivers her and Nikki away before she locks Becky in the Sharpshooter. She eventually breaks the hold and leaves as Becky holds her knee.





Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler



Brock Lesnar's music hits and he marches toward the ring with Paul Heyman by his side. Ziggler holds Seth's leg so Brock can run through him with a clothesline. He takes Rollins to Suplex City with a few Germans.

Lesnar hits several more suplexes and a few F-5s onto a steel chair. Rollins is spitting up blood in the ring and Heyman advises Brock to back off. Lesnar doesn't listen and hits another F-5 onto the chair.



We go backstage and see Rollins being loaded into an ambulance. Brock stops the ambulance and pulls him out on the stretcher. He delivers one more F-5 onto the stretcher before some officials and medics show up.





Samoa Joe comes out and says he is not here for peace talks. He is here to fight. Reigns comes down and they start brawling immediately.



Drew McIntyre joins the fight and Reigns battles him through the crowd. Joe and Drew eventually team up on him and get him back in the ring. Cedric Alexander comes down to help and he takes out Joe with a springboard crossbody. He kicks Drew out of the ring before Joe turns him inside out with a clothesline. McIntyre takes Cedric up to the stage and suplexes him into the LED board. The Usos come out to help Reigns but The OC come out to stop them. A massive brawl takes place on the stage. Alexander climbs to the top of the LED board and takes everyone out with a big dive.



Reigns, Alexander and The Usos end up standing tall to end the show.

SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with a video package recapping what happened last week.


Shane McMahon says that the RAW Reunion was great and that he was glad not to see Kevin Owens. He addresses Kevin Owens' SummerSlam challenge.



Shane accepts the challenge and then he plays a clip of Owens quitting in 2018 before Owens came out and said that was a very dark time in his life. He said that’s not who he is now, but he won’t have to quit at SummerSlam because he will beat the holy hell out of Shane. Then McMahon booked Owens in a match against Roman Reigns tonight.

Nakamura attacks Apollo Crews after the match. 






The Miz is out after the break for another episode of MizTV. He shows a video package of highlights from Raw.


Miz brings out Shawn Michaels as his guest for the night. HBK looks like he loves hearing the fans cheer for him again. He talks about going from being a young guy in the back to being one of the legends on Raw Reunion.


Before long, Dolph Ziggler's music hits and he comes out to the ring. He says everyone has seen enough of legends limping their way to the ring. He says HBK was an embarrassment when he returned to the ring at Super Show-Down. Michaels agrees with him but says Ziggler should be more embarrassed to be known as a Shawn Michaels wannabe.


The segment ends with Ziggler superkicking Michaels.



Charlotte Flair vs. Ember Moon


Ember Moon won thanks to the distraction of Bayley.


Ember throws Bayley back in the ring to get booted by Charlotte! Ember then hits an eclipse on Charlotte and then on Bayley! She stands tall heading into her women’s title match against Bayley at SummerSlam.



Kofi Kingston comes to the ring after the break and issues a SummerSlam challenge to Randy Orton. He asks The Viper to come to the ring instead of attacking him from behind. Orton's music hits and he walks down the aisle.

Kofi shows some footage of their feud from almost 10 years ago and says he should have stepped up back then and Orton used his influence to hold him down. They talk a little more trash before agreeing to the match at SummerSlam.



Kofi Kingston vs. Samoa Joe

Orton runs in to hit an RKO on Kingston. Kofi manages to avoid it and they have a standoff. Orton hits Joe with the RKO and Kofi hits Orton with Trouble in Paradise.



Kayla Braxton asks Finn Balor how he got in the crosshairs of Bray Wyatt. A rather shaken Finn Balor is unable to understand any of Wyatt's action. Balor says he's stared fear in the eyes before. He challenges Finn Balor to a match at SummerSlam. And suddenly, Firefly Fun House? Bray Wyatt says that Mercy and he are big fans of Finn Balor for his bravery. The Fiend? Not such a big fan. The Fiend accepts his challenge and Wyatt asks "Let me in"





Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens (with Drew McIntyre as special guest referee, Elias as special guest timekeeper and Shane McMahon as special guest announcer)

After some trash talking, Reigns and Owens lock up. Drew makes them separate in the corner as any ref would. KO and Reigns wrestle back to the corner and Drew gets between them again. Reigns decks McIntyre in the face and Owens knocks Elias off the apron. KO and Reigns corner Shane but McIntyre come help. Shane starts directing traffic in the ring while his boys do the dirty work.

Reigns and Owens eventually turn the tables and end the show standing tall after hitting Shane with a Stunner and Superman Punch.

RAW


Raw opens with John Cena coming out to kick off the reunion show.

Cena runs down a list of some of the stars who will appear on the show and says he missed the crowd. He calls WWE his home before bringing out The Usos. They come out and say the crowd wants to hear them drop some rhymes with Cena. John acts like he isn't up to it before Jimmy and Jey goad him into rapping.

Cena makes fun of The Usos for getting arrested before Rikishi comes to the ring. He asks Cena to dance with him and his sons but The Revival interrupts before the music can start. They are joined by D-von Dudley.

Drake Maverick manages to pin Truth and take the 24/7 title with a little help from his wife.


Drew McIntyre vs. Cedric Alexander

McIntyre attacks Alexander during his entrance but Cedric gets the upper hand and hits a moonsault from the second rope to the floor. Drew tosses him into the ring post and pounds him into the floor. He hits the inverted Alabama slam onto the apron.


Drake Maverick tries to get his things and run but the Boogeyman appears and freaks him out. He falls and Pat Patterson kicks him down and pins him for the 24/7 Title.

Gerald Brisco and Kelly Kelly win the 24/7 Title in the span of a minute. Back in the arena, Samoa Joe heads to the ring.

Samoa Joe insults the concept of the Raw Reunion and The Usos for bringing out Rikishi. This gets Roman Reigns to come to the ring.

Joe and Roman get in each other's face and insult each other a few times before they start brawling. Joe gets the upper hand and whips Reigns into the barricade. Joe brings him back into the ring just so he can headbutt him back out. Reigns hits a Superman Punch to knocks Joe off of the apron. Reigns grabs a mic and issues a challenge. Joe accepts.

The Miz comes out to the ring for an episode of MizTV with Seth Rollins as his guest for the evening.


The Miz praises Rollins for his win and recaps what led to the predicament. The crowd boos at the clip of Lesnar's Universal title win.
Seth Rollins says that Brock Lesnar is a Brock Lesnar wannabe.
Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman get into a verbal confrontation. Rollins tells Heyman that if he wants to talk the talk for Lesnar, he needs to walk the walk like he does. He threatens to stomp Heyman's head in and the advocate runs away when Rollins teases coming down.
Seth Rollins vows to make Brock Lesnar lose at SummerSlam. He tells The Miz that he wants to talk about his match tonight against AJ Styles.


Candice Michelle wins the 24/7 title and then Alundra Blayze wins it a few moments later.


Sami Zayn vs. Rey Mysterio 

Zayn avoids the 619 and tries to leave. RVD's music hits and he comes out to block his escape. He is joined by Sgt. Slaughter, The Hurricane and Kurt Angle. Sami goes back to the ring and Rey hits him with the 619 for the pin and the win.


Blayze is about to dump the 24/7 title in the garbage when Ted DiBiase comes out and buys it from her and now apparently is the new 24/7 Champion.



Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles

The Club starts to circle Rollins before DX's music hits. Triple H and HBK walk down and stand next to Seth.

Anderson and Gallows cause a DQ when they attack Rollins. Trips and Michaels come in and the two trios have a standoff. Styles holds up the too sweet symbol as a peace offering. DX and Rollins attack them instead.

The Club get ready to attack the trio with steel chairs, but they have back-up! It's Road Dogg, X-Pac and Razor Ramon and Kevin Nash

The numbers game have caught up and The Club retreats. AJ Styles tells Shawn Michaels he'll get to him. They let Rollins do the "We got two words for ya" line.

Maverick wins the 24/7 title from DiBiase before we go to a segment with Mick Foley. Bray Wyatt appears in the ring and uses the Mandible Claw on him.

Alexa and Nikki come out to interview Becky Lynch. Natalya comes out and says she wants to hear whatever Becky has to say about her.

It doesn't take long before Natalya and Becky get into a fight. Several officials break them up to end the segment.

It’s time to toast RAW.

The legends all appear on the stage together and Hulk Hogan gives a quick speech.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is out, and the reaction remains the same! Freaking Insane.

Austin says it's good to be back in Tampa. He tells the crowd not to expect him to be sentimental. He tells them to look at the stage and says that everybody has cried and talks about the blood, sweat and tears in the WWE family.

Steve Austin comes out and drinks a few beers before talking about his time on Raw. He invites the legends to come share some drinks with him to end the show.

SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with a recap of Kevin Owens' recent campaign against Shane McMahon.

Shane McMahon is shown giving Owens the night off before we go to the arena to see a lot of Superstars standing on the stage for Shane McMahon's town hall.

Shane asks who wants to go first and Roman Reigns steps up to the mic. He says nobody respects Shane and walks away. Charlotte says Reigns was out of line and she thanks Shane for being supportive of her family. Liv Morgan tells her to stop being phony and asks if there is anything real about her.

Shane starts talking about all the people Owens mentioned last week as being underused. Murphy says he doesn't need help from Owens. Apollo Crews says he agrees with KO. Zelina Vega says Crews is just trying to kiss up to the fans. She challenges Apollo to face Andrade tonight. This is going nowhere fast.

The New Day has their mic cut off when Kofi says Shane is keeping people down. Shane ends the town hall but Cesaro has something to say. He says he wants another match with Aleister Black. Shane books it.

Kevin Owens comes out of the crowd and hits Shane with a Stunner.

Ember Moon and Bayley vs. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose

Charly interviews the winners after the match and Bayley says she wants to defend the title against Moon. The crowd cheers and Moon accepts.


The New Day comes out after the break to celebrate having the WWE  Title and Tag Team Titles. Big E says they will give Bryan and Rowan a rematch. Bryan's music hits and they walk onto the stage.

Bryan comes out with a mic and teases saying something before he walks to the back. He comes back out and does the same thing again. He comes out a third time, drops the mic and leaves.

Samoa Joe comes out and says he deserves another WWE title shot. Elias interrupts and says he should get the title shot. This brings out Randy Orton. The New Day suggests a six-man tag match. After talking some trash, Orton agrees, and they head to the ring.

IIconics intentionally get counted out so they can retain their titles. Asuka and Sane get angry and attack The IIconics after the match. Paige stands with them in the ring as Kay and Royce retreat up the ramp.

Shane McMahon comes out flanked by several WWE Superstars. They surround the ring and prepare for an attack. Ziggler hits the Zig-Zag for a two count. Dolph rams him into the ring post twice. KO blocks a superkick and hits the Stunner. Shane pulls him out of the ring and KO hits him with a Stunner. He runs up the ramp to escape as the other wrestlers give chase.
Kayla tries to interview Shane as he recovers, and he says Owens is going to pay dearly as the show goes off the air.

Raw opens with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman coming to the ring.



Heyman brags about Lesnar regaining the title last night at Extreme Rules and says he told everyone this would happen, and nobody believed him. Heyman announces a Battle Royal to find a No. 1 contender for Lesnar at SummerSlam.







The Usos and Ricochet vs. The Revival and Bobby Roode in a 2 out of 3 falls match

The Club comes out to gloat but Ricochet dives over the top rope to take Styles down. The Usos help him take out Anderson and Gallows but The Revival and Roode help The Club get the upper hand.

Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe


Joe ends up getting a quick win with a crucifix pin but he doesn't stop attacking Balor. He applies the Coquina Clutch but Balor is able to counter out of it. He dropkicks Joe and hits the Coup de Grace.


We hear some weird noises and the lights go out. Bray Wyatt appears in the ring and hits Balor with Sister Abigail.

Alexa Bliss vs. Carmella vs. Naomi vs. Natalya in a Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match



 Natalya won and will be facing Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Title at SummerSlam. 



Natalya has a post-match interview.



Natalya says she is happy about the fact that she gets to face her friend in her home country of Canada, but Becky Lynch doesn't reciprocate. Becky Lynch says that her career needs something and that she's it. She warns Nattie to bring it or else she'll wipe the floor with her. Lynch says that if she's learned anything, she does better in war than love. Natalya says that she must not be a very good lover and that Natalya, she'll use her orange hair as a mop. They get into each other’s face intel a ref gets in the middle of the two and then Natalya walks away. 







The Miz is in the ring after the break and he brings out Dolph Ziggler as his guest.



Ziggler says The Miz has become a company stooge who is just happy to be there. He asks what it was like not even being booked last night and Miz says it's better than losing in 17 seconds. He says The Miz is better than this and he has become everything that is wrong with this business. The Miz attacks him as we head to a break.







Drake Maverick and his wife are preparing to make their marriage official when someone shows up with some champagne. R-Truth sneaks out and pins him to reclaim the 24/7 Title.





Battle Royal for #1 Contender



Seth Rollins won and will be facing Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam for the Universal Championship.

Paul Heyman tries to give him a proper winner's announcement. Seth Rollins tells Paul Heyman to shut up. He vows to become the Universal Heavyweight Champion! Lesnar is incensed and walks towards the ring with a steel chair. He slams the ring apron with it and walks away!

Paul Heyman comes out and says he is Philadelphia. He says he is the entire concept of Extreme. He says he will be 'damned' if he leaves Philadelphia without being a part of history. He says that Brock Lesnar will cash in the money in the bank contract tonight on either the WWE Champion or Universal Champion. He then makes a joke saying that if he is saying this, is he telling the crowd the truth.... or is he Paul Heyman. 



Ricochet vs. AJ Styles for the USTitle 


The Club attacks Ricochet before the match starts.


AJ Styles wins and is the New United States Champion.





Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler 


Kevin Owens won in a quick match. 


Kevin Owens says he knows he would have been fired if Shane was not already destroyed by the Undertaker. Owens says that Shane can kiss his ass and go to hell. 



Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Samoa Joe for the WWE Title 



Kofi Kingston retains the WWE Title

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch vs. Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in a Winners Take All Extreme Rules Match

Corbin hits Becky with the End of Days. He touched Becky. Seth loses it. He destroys the Kendo Stick on Corbin. He then destroys a chair on Corbin. A STOMP. His glare sends Evans running. ANOTHER STOMP ON CORBIN. OH MY GOD. ANOTHER STOMP.

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch retain both the Universal Championship and RAW Women’s Championship.

Brock Lesnar music hits and he comes out. Lesnar hits Rollins with two German Suplexes. Heyman is cashing in the briefcase.

Lesnar hits Rollins with the F5 and covers him. Lesnar is the new WWE Universal Champion.



The show ended with Heyman holding up Brock Lesnar’s arm on the ramp.

Awesome show and matches. Mad that we have Brock as champion AGAIN and he wasn’t that good last time he isn’t going to defend it.
