SmackDown Live

SmackDown opens with the Singh brothers introducing Jinder Mahal.
Mahal talks about how he is constantly being disrespected by American fans. He singles out Shinsuke Nakamura for embarrassing him last week. The Singhs say they are the ones who failed him and apologize to the champion and everyone in India.
The Singhs offer to kiss Mahal's feet as a show of loyalty. Before they can do it, Nakamura's music interrupts. The Singhs try to stand in his way, but he moves past them. He takes the first shot at Mahal, but the Singhs hold his legs while Mahal kicks him in the face. The three beat on him until Randy Orton runs to the ring to make the save.
As Orton attempts to help Nakamura, Rusev comes out of nowhere and takes him out with a bg side kick.

AJ Styles issues an open challenge for the US Title  

Tye Dillinger's music hits and he heads to the ring. Baron Corbin stops him and says he is going to be the one to challenge AJ. Dillinger shoves him, so Corbin drives him into the ring apron.

We were supposed to get Kevin Owens atfer the break, but we return to see Aiden English singing. He is interrupted by Owens' music.

Owens complains about how he picked Corbin to be the ref last week, but Shane came out and stuck his nose in where it didn't belong.
Owens says this would never have happened on Raw. Shane comes out to respond to Owens and says he only came out last week because Corbin wasn't doing a good job. He says this conversation is over and he is tired of hearing KO complain. He tells English to get back in the ring so he can fight Sami Zayn, who makes his way to the ring.


Sami Zayn vs. Aiden English

KO gets off commentary and gets in the ring. He makes the ref give him his shirt and kicks him out of the ring. Zayn sees what's happening and they have an argument. He hits Zayn with a Popup Powerbomb and allows English to cover him for the win.

After Dolph Ziggler gives a great interview about how he will not be debuting his new look this week because he feels taken for granted.

Orton and Nakamura won 
Orton goes after Rusev before the bell, so Nakamura joins in and attacks Mahal.
The two smile at each other, and the two exchange words... but Orton lands a huge RKO out of nowhere! The two will face off against each other in a No. 1 Contender's match next week on SmackDown.

The show ended with Randy Orton getting up on the ropes to pose.

RAW

Raw opens with The Miztourage in the ring.

Miz barely gets one word out before he is interrupted by Kurt Angle. The GM says he knows Miz thinks the status of the IC title has diminished, but he will defend the belt at No Mercy. Miz starts talking over him about the definition of respect.

Angle books Miz to face whoever wins a Battle Royal tonight for a title shot next week, including his own miztourage.

Heyman and Lesnar make their way out after the break to address Braun Strowman
Heyman says they are there to actually sing the praises of Strowman and Heyman puts him over as the most worthy contender to the title.
Heyman plays a clip of Strowman taking out Lesnar last week. He says nobody gets to hold the title up until they manage to take it from Lesnar. Brock grabs the mic and says "Suplex city, bitch" before they walk away.

Cesaro won thanks to distraction between Sheamus and Dean fighting at ringside.

Sheamus challenged Ambrose to a match. He accepted.

Kurt Angle comes out to preside over the contract signing between John Cena and Roman Reigns.

Reigns comes down and laughs at the idea of him being scared to fight Cena. He says Cena isn't as big of a deal as he thinks he is. He reminds everyone what he did to The Undertaker at WrestleMania and says he doesn't really need to fight Cena.
Cena calls Reigns a corporate-created John Cena bootleg and Roman says Cena is great at spinning the facts and says the fans don't boo him because they want him to be a heel. They boo him because he sucks. Cena says they say the same thing about Angle and he won a gold medal.
After Cena insults Reigns' ability to cut a promo, Reigns says Cena is a fake part-timer bitch He says Cena is a backstabbing shark who only shows up when WWE offers him enough money. He claims he is the one person Cena can't see and can't bury.
Cena says it took Reigns five years to cut a promo, but now he is going to teach him a lesson. He says he doesn't have a magic shovel and the fans are the ones who hold the keys to success. Cena claims he looked at winning the U.S. title as a new opportunity while Reigns saw it as a demotion.
Cena says he can do this part-time better than Reigns can full-time. Roman signs the deal before flipping over the table. Then Anderson and Gallows come out.

The King interrupts Elias as he was singing and brings out Pelvis Wesley from Southpaw Regional Wrestling, which is just Heath Slater in an Elvis costume.

 interested. Elias drops Pelvis and goes to work on him. Elias nails the Drift Away and stands over Pelvis as his music plays.


Sasha Banks (c) vs. Alexa Bliss for the Women's Championship 
Alexa Bliss won and is the New Women's Champion 
Nia Jax comes out and celebrates with her friend. She crushes Banks in the corner before telling Alexa to hold the title up. She puts Bliss on her shoulders and walks her around, but then she drops the new champion on the mat and picks up the title. She holds the belt above her head to make it clear she wants the next title shot

RAW was INSANE Tonight! Who's ready for No Mercy?

RAW was pretty awesome. Great matches and promos that make us excited for No Mercy! That Reigns and Cena segment made me pumped for No Mercy!

SmackDown Live

AJ Styles makes his way to the ring at the top of the show. The crowd chants his name until he decides to start talking. Everyone says his catchphrase about SmackDown being the house he built along with him. AJ brags about beating Kevin Owens and says he is the workhorse of WWE. He announces a United States open challenge.
Kevin Owens comes out and AJ says he won’t face him because he already beat him on Sunday. Owens says he was screwed by a McMahon just like Bret Hart was. Shane makes his way to the ring to defend his officiating. He says he kept his promise to call the match down the middle and Styles won fair and square.
Owens says Shane counted to three at one point and it should have led to him being champion. KO is getting really angry and gets right up in Shane’s face. McMahon says he is willing to give Kevin another title shot tonight and Owens demands the right to pick the referee because he keeps getting screwed by officials. Shane agrees, but says this is the last time KO will get a title shot for as long as AJ is champion.

Daniel Bryan is talking to Chad Gable backstage and he says he should get a new tag team partner. He introduces him to Shelton Benjamin and Gable seems excited. Bryan books them in their first match next week.

The Usos give a solid promo after the match promising to rule over the tag team division with an iron fist.

Shinsuke Nakamura won 
Jinder Mahal attacked Nakamura after the match but Nakamura got his revenge and left Mahal laying in the ring and Nakamura is standing tall in the ring.

Natalya is out after the break to celebrate her Women's Championship win at SummerSlam.


Natalya says SummerSlam will forever be known as the night the glow was unplugged. She promises she will be champion forever. Carmella comes out to serve as her tag team partner, which should create an interesting dynamic with her holding the MITB briefcase. James Ellsworth and Carmella insult Nattie despite teaming with her during the next match. Carmella says she let Natalya have her moment at SummerSlam and she will strike when the time is right. Even Ellsworth points out how Carmella could always choose not to tag in and let Natalya get beaten so she can cash in her briefcase tonight.

AJ Styles (c) vs. KO for the US Title w/ Baron Corbin as the referee 

 Shane McMahon runs down to the ring and yells at Baron for taking a shot at Styles. Owens hits AJ with a low blow while Corbin argues with Shane. Baron gets down to count and Shane pulls him from the ring. The Lone Wolf gets in Shane's face and takes off the ref shirt before leaving. McMahon puts it on and Owens has a fit.
AJ Styles retained the US Title
The show ends with Owens looking as mad as we have ever seen him while AJ holds the U.S. title high above his head.

RAW

The show opens with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar making their way to the ring. Hopefully, this sets up his next title defense. The Beast comes out with a big smile on his face.
Heyman decides to introduce himself to the WWE Universe for the 10,000th time. He says it's his honor to let everyone know his client retained his title at SummerSlam. Heyman claims his conspiracy theory about WWE trying to screw Lesnar out of the title came true last night.
Heyman says Lesnar is too tough for anyone to defeat him and he refused medical attention before returning to the ring to conquer or be conquered. He makes a point to mention how Brock pinned Roman Reigns last night, which is something few people have been able to do clean. Heyman says nobody in WWE or UFC history can match up to his client.
Strowman and Lesnar have a staredown before The Monster Among Men grabs him by the throat. Lesnar breaks free, but he gets levelled by a kick to the face. Braun picks him up and hits two powerslams before holding up the universal title triumphantly. He drops the belt next to Brock before leaving.

Kurt Angle comes out and says he told us he had a surprise and that surprise is John Cena. -Which if you didn't know before now then you must be living under a rock-

Cena says he has been waiting to stand in the same ring as a certain Superstar for a long time. Roman Reigns comes out and Cena says he is exactly who he was looking for. Reigns talks a little trash and asks if Cena is going to run his mouth to his face. As they get ready to square off, The Miz comes out to spoil the fun. Miz mocks the idea of Cena and Reigns being in the ring together being a big deal. He says he is going to make his own moment and criticizes Angle for bringing in Cena while he didn't get to defend his title at SummerSlam.

Cena says The Miz and a partner should battle him and Reigns in the main event. The Miz doesn't like the idea, and then Samoa Joe heads to the ring.
Joe runs down Reigns before taking a cheap shot at Cena. Reigns fights off The Miztourage while Joe puts Cena in the Coquina Clutch. Reigns hits a Superman Punch to break up the hold.

The New Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins come out
Ambrose and Rollins talk about how good it feels to be back together and holding the tag titles. Ambrose says they will take on anyone anywhere, so The Hardy Boyz answer the call.
Jeff says they aren't here to spoil the fun and just want to congratulate Ambrose and Rollins. Both Matt and Jeff are using more broken mannerisms than usual. Matt says they want to challenge them to a match and Rollins says he grew up idolizing the Hardys and agrees. A ref runs down as we head to a break

Sasha Banks comes out and wishes Ric Flair a speedy recovery before talking about how 
she defeated Alexa Bliss last night to become the women's champion. She says she doesn't need Nia Jax watching her back because she has the WWE Universe.

Banks dares Bliss to use her rematch right now, but Bliss says the people of Brooklyn don't deserve to see her win the title, but she will take her rematch next week.

WWE announced Lesnar vs. Strowman at No Mercy.

SmackDown Live

The show opens with a brief trailer hyping the matches set for tonight.
Jinder Mahal comes out with the Singhs to get the show going. The ring is decorated with rugs and a string of flowers on the front ring rope. The Singhs are wearing traditional Indian garb instead of their usual dress shirts and slacks. Mahal brags about being the greatest WWE champion of all time.
Mahal has a whole crew of dancers and a woman to sing the Indian National Anthem. The crowd boos all of it, but the jeers grow even louder when he starts speaking in Punjabi. Shinsuke Nakamura's music hits.
Nakamura talks about their match at SummerSlam and declares it will be Mahal's last day as WWE champion.

Chad Gable vs. Rusev 

Rusev won 
He puts Gable in the Accolade until he is satisfied with the damage he inflicted.He grabs a mic and calls out Orton, who appears and hits a literal RKO out of nowhere.


AJ Styles is out after the break and he asks Shane McMahon to join him in the ring. Shane O'Mac comes out.
Shane says there is no need for an apology and Styles assures him the kick last week was an accident. Then Styles asks him man to man if he will hold a grudge. McMahon says he knows the kick was inadvertent, but if the same thing happens on Sunday it might be a different story. Kevin Owens comes out to interrupt as Shane was getting ready to issue Styles a warning.
Owens tries to suck up to Shane and says he is happy he will have a ref who is fair and impartial. Owens offers his hand to Shane, but Shane says he should offer it to AJ. Kevin does just that with a smile on his face. Styles refuses and they get into an argument. They start shoving each other and Styles almost punches Shane on accident. Shane grabs his arm and yells at him. KO tries to superkick Styles, but he ends up hitting Shane instead.

John Cena vs. Jinder Mahal
Cena looks shocked, but he also has a smile on his face. He puts Mahal up on the top rope for a super AA and hits it. Baron Corbin comes in and breaks up the pin by throwing his briefcase at Cena. The ref calls for the bell and Corbin nails Cena with the case right in the head. It looks like he is about to leave, but then he looks at his briefcase and decides to cash it in.

Cena gets on the apron as the bell rings and Corbin lays him out. Mahal rolls Corbin up and gets the win out of nowhere. Corbin freaks out and rips up the announce table while Cena laughs at him.
The show ends with The Lone Wolf throwing a fit while Mahal exits with his cronies and Cena smiles at his rival's misfortune.

Sucks to be Corbin but I think Corbin will take it on Cena Sunday at SummerSlam, which could make the match even more intense.


Rating: 70/70

Great show and matches as we look on to SummerSlam. Even though we left with the sadness that Corbin is no holding the MITB briefcase anymore. Also, great tension between KO/AJ/Shane and I think it is interesting and entertaining. I can't wait tell SummerSlam.

RAW

Raw opens with a video package highlighting the recent tension between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.

Dean Ambrose comes out

He gets impatient and tells the truck to cut his music. He says he wants to know what is going on with Rollins and calls him out to the ring. Rollins wastes no time coming out to the ring.
Rollins says Ambrose claims he doesn't care, but he keeps showing up when Rollins needs help. Seth asks if they can let bygones be bygones and run this place together. He sticks out his fist and the crowd goes nuts. Ambrose paces around for a minute while he thinks about what to do. He says "You have go to be kidding me" and berates Rollins for walking out on him last week when he stuck his hand out as a sign of friendship.
Rollins says he doesn't even trust himself sometimes, but when they are on the same page, nobody can touch them. He says maybe too much has happened between them to ever mend fences and starts to walk away. Ambrose stops him and finally offers his fist. This time it's Rollins who stares at it for a long time. He decides to leave and Dean grabs him. They argue and shove each other before they break down into a brawl
.
Once they end up outside the ring and stop fighting, Cesaro and Sheamus come out and jump them. They toss Ambrose over the barricade before focusing on Rollins. They bring Seth in the ring to continue the beatdown while the crowd chants "You look stupid" at Sheamus. The Lunatic Fringe recovers and tries to make the save. The tag champs overpower him, but Rollins is able to get up and help. Ambrose and Rollins work together and send them out of the ring.
Ambrose and Rollins finally bump fists and the arena erupts.
Kurt Angle comes out and announces a tag title match at SummerSlam with Sheamus and Cesaro defending against Rollins and Ambrose. The former Shield members stand united in the ring while the champs hold their belts high.

Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax (Winner faces Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam for the RAW Women's Championship W/ Alexa Bliss sitting in a lifeguard's chair at ringside.

Angle is shown talking to the Hardys when the Miztourage walks in. The

GM books Miz vs. Jordan for tonight before someone runs in and says
they have a problem with Balor and Wyatt. Angle runs to deal with the issue.

Balor and Wyatt can't stop fighting, so Angle says they are having their 
SummerSlam match tonight.

Back in the arena, Elias prepares to serenade us with another song.

Truth interrupts Elias and raps his way to the ring. Elias gets pissed and attacks him before he can get in the ring. He hits Truth with his finisher before grabbing his guitar and posing for the crowd.

The cage Enzo will be in during Big Cass vs. Big Show is in the ring. He gets some good heat when he tries to start his promo. He keeps trying to talk, but the crowd keeps booing him.

He finally starts talking over the boos, which only get louder. He talks some trash about Big Show and Enzo Amore. He says Enzo needs someone big behind him to do all his fighting for him.
Enzo comes out and mocks Cass inability to start his promo over the boos. Big Show comes down to engage in a fight, but Anderson and Gallows attack the giant for some reason. Big Show fights them off for a little while, but he eventually gets taken down by all three men.
They end up slamming the cage door on Big Show's right hand to neutralize his KO punch. A few officials manage to drive them off, but the damage has been done.

Wyatt hits a second Sister Abigail before the lights go out. They come back on and he has a rusty bucket in his hands. He pours what looks like blood all over Balor.

Axel and Dallas attack him to cause a DQ. The Hardys run to the ring to make the save.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman are out first for the big face to face to face to face showdown heading into SummerSlam.
Paul Heyman starts things off by complaining about his client having to face the top three contenders in a conspiracy that will see Lesnar lose his title.
After Heyman talks for about 10 minutes, Samoa Joe finally heads to the ring.
Reigns marches to the ring. He immediately Spears Joe, so Braun grabs him for a Powerslam. It comes down to Lesnar and Strowman, but the security guards rush in the ring to keep them apart. They try to break through the sea of guards, but they keep getting pushed back. They start beating up the guards until they are the last two men in the ring. Angle calls for the locker room to come out.
Lesnar breaks free and gets in one good shot on Strowman before he is held back. Strowman gets to him and hits one punch of his own before they are separated again. 
The show ends with everyone holding them apart.

John Cena heads to the ring to kick off the show.
Cena talks about how anything can happen inside a WWE ring. a Cena chant breaks out as he talks about how SuperCena faced Nakamura last week. He says he now knows why the fans love Nakamura because he hits very hard. As he talks about respecting Nakamura, Corbin comes out.
Cena calls Corbin a skinny-fat dumpster fire just like some fan's sign in the crowd says he is. The crowd chants "Dumpster fire" as Cena challenges The Lone Wolf to come to the ring and prove himself. Corbin claims he doesn't have to because he has the MITB briefcase, which means he does what he wants when he wants. As he tried to leave, Daniel Bryan comes out.
Bryan says he doesn't know if Corbin is a dumpster fire or the future, but he does know Corbin will fight Cena at SummerSlam.

The Usos brag about their win and call out The New Day who happily come out to respond. Big E is all by himself on the stage, which is a distraction so Kofi and Woods can attack them from behind.

Shane O'Mac is out after the break to talk about the Owens vs. Styles match at SummerSlam.
Owens apologizes to Shane for how he acted last week, but then he brings up the Montreal Screwjob and the crowd chants "You screwed Bret." Owens says Bret deserved it and he doesn't, so he doesn't think Shane will screw him out of the title. Then KO plays a clip of AJ attacking Shane backstage in March before their WrestleMania match and throwing him through a car window.
AJ says Owens is just trying to stir the pot, but it won't work. He also says Shane won't screw him over because he knows what the consequences would be. Shane says he isn't like his family, so Owens plays a clip of Shane as the ref for Austin vs. Mankind in 1998 when he screwed Stone Cold out of the win.
AJ says they shouldn't wait until SummerSlam and fight for the title right now. KO says he would rather win the U.S. title in the U.S. in a city that 
actually matters, which gets him some good heat. Things start to get physical and AJ accidentally hits Shane with a Pele kick. KO gives a bow as he leaves. Styles doesn't seem to care about hitting Shane.

Carmella won thanks to Ellsworth causing an interference and distraction.

The show ends with Orton celebrating on the stage. Rusev attacks him from behind out of nowhere right as the show goes off the air.

The show opens with the usual intro video before we go live to the arena for MizTV.
Miz calls out Jason Jordan so he can finish what they started last week. Kurt Angle's music hits and he comes out on the stage.
Angle says Jordan will be facing Curtis Axel later, but for now, he has secured a great guest for MizTV. Brock Lesnar's music hits and he comes out with Paul Heyman.
Miz criticizes Heyman for having Lesnar booked in a Fatal 4-Way match and says he is putting his money on Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe. Heyman and Lesnar just stand there and let Miz rant about how Lesnar is going to lose the title and then take his ball and go home, and he will be happy to see him go.
The Advocate asks if Miz and Maryse ever role play and suggests they do a little right now. He says Miz is Reigns, Dallas is Samoa Joe and Axel is Strowman. He then sicks Lesnar on all of them before leaving the ring.
Lesnar bulldozes over all three members of The Miztourage before hitting an F5 on each man and leaving triumphantly.


Seth Rollins vs. Sheamus w/ Cesaro at ringside

Sheamus won
Rollins hits the tag champs with a suicide dive outside the ring, but Cesaro and Sheamus easily overpower him and send him into the barricade. They check the ramp to make sure Ambrose doesn't come down to make the save while the crowd chants his name. They bring Seth in the ring and hit their tag finisher.

After Rollins and Ambrose bicker backstage, Jason Jordan heads to the ring for his match. Angle is backstage with Axel and the doctor says he can't clear him to compete. He finds some random jobber who happens to be standing backstage and sends him to the ring to face Jordan.

Bayley has a hard time watching the footage of her injury and says she is sorry she won't be able to face Bliss for the title at SummerSlam. She says the fans helped make her feel a lot better. 

Sasha Banks comes out after Bayley says The Boss should be the one to challenge Bliss in her place. She hugs Bayley before we head to a break.

We will get two Triple Threat matches to see who gets to fight in a singles match on next week's Raw for a chance to fight Bliss for the title at SummerSlam.


Sasha Banks vs. Emma vs. Alicia Fox in a Triple Threat w/ Alexa Bliss at commentary

Sasha Banks won and advances to singles match next week and faces the winner of the second triple threat match.


Big Show and Enzo Amore vs. Anderson and Gallows

Anderson and Gallows won thanks to the distraction of Big Cass
Enzo tries to stop Cass from attacking Big Show, but he gets whipped into the barricade. Cass stalks Amore around the ring as he tries to escape, which allows Big Show to recover and hit a KO Punch to knock Cass out cold.

Finn Balor comes out and declares Toronto to be Balor Club. A Too Sweet chant starts and Balor responds before talking about beating up Wyatt last week.

Balor tells Wyatt the next time he wants to take a shot, he better not miss. The lights go out and Wyatt appears in the ring. Balor is sitting on the turnbuckle waiting for him. Balor jumps over hm and hits a kick followed by a sling blade. The lights go out again and Wyatt disappears. He reappears on the big screen laughing. He says he understands why the crowd loves Balor, but he will still take him down.


Dean Ambrose vs. Cesaro w/ Sheamus at ringside

Sheamus attacks him after the bell, but Rollins runs to the ring to make the save.
Rollins drives the tag champs away and then looks down at Ambrose as he tries to get to his feet. The crowd chants Yes as they have a staring contest. Ambrose looks pissed, but he sticks his fist out anyway. Rollins looks at it for a long time before shaking his head and walking away.


Nia Jax vs. Dana Brooke vs. Mickie James w/ Alexa Bliss on commentary

Nia Jax will face Sasha Banks next week for a chance to face Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam for the Women's Championship


Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing Match

Samoa Joe grabs Reigns from the crowd and locks him in the Coquina Clutch. He chokes out The Big Dog and leaves both men laying at ringside as several officials try to drive him back. The ref counts and Braun pops up at the last second to win the match.
The show ends with Braun standing in the ring while Joe stares at Reigns at ringside.
