SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with Shane McMahon giving a backstage promo about Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.


The New Day heads to the ring.


Kofi Kingston talks about how some of the best moments in his career have happened recently, but Monday was different. He shows a clip of Samoa Joe ruthlessly attacking him on Raw. Dolph Ziggler comes out and yells about how he's not done with Kofi yet. He suggests a triple threat match at Extreme Rules with himself, Kofi and Joe.

Woods and Big E are attacked from behind by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. They beat down the New Day, but Heavy Machinery run out to throw them out of the ring.

RAW


Raw opens with Seth Rollins coming to the ring with his universal title.



Before Seth can say anything, Becky Lynch's music hits and she joins her boyfriend in the ring. Seth jokingly says she interrupted him but laughs it off. He puts over Corbin as being smart enough to put Lacey Evans in the referee spot, but he didn't realize Becky is the best backup in the biz. Lynch talks about how she made Lacey tap out last night.


Evans attacks Becky from behind. Seth tries to pull them apart but Becky shoves him and keeps beating on Lacey. Corbin runs down to attack Rollins but gets sent out of the ring right away. After some trash talk, Corbin challenges Becky and Seth to a mixed tag match at Extreme Rules. Becky agrees as long as there is a stipulation that if Baron and Lacey lose, they never get a shot at Becky and Seth again. Corbin agrees as long as both titles are on the line in a winners take all match.

The Miz is in the ring after the break to interview R-Truth and Carmella. Truth is cautious as he comes to the ring. He makes sure to check under the ring to make sure nobody is waiting. The Miz says the 24/7 title is suspended during the interview so he can feel safe.


Truth gets a lot of love from the crowd. He says he doesn't see this title as a joke because he hasn't been able to do anything since winning it without having to look over his shoulder. Mella says the title is important to Truth and that is why he invaded Drake Maverick's wedding. This brings the 205 Live GM out. He says Truth ruined his wedding and his wife won't talk to him.


Maverick challenges Truth to a one on one match for the title. Miz says nobody else will be able to claim the belt during the match. Truth agrees and it will take place after the break.

The Undertaker's music hits. He appears in the ring and catches Shane to hit a Chokeslam. He beats Drew down in the corner while Roman tries to recover.

Truth runs through the crowd as Slater and Rawley prepare for their match. Slater ends up winning the 24/7 title before Truth pins him to win it back. Alexander pins Truth to win the belt, and then EC3 pins Alexander to win it. As EC3 celebrates, Truth rolls him up to win it back yet again. He and Mella escape to the back while others give chase.







Before Charly can interview Kofi Kingston, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens come out on the stage. They brag about beating Woods and Big E at Stomping Grounds and ask why Kofi is using his friends to keep his title. Kofi says he has real friends, unlike the weird relationship Owens and Zayn have had over the years.

Owens grabs a mic and challenges Kofi to fight him right now. Wanting to look like a fighting champion, Kingston accepts.

As Kofi celebrates on the ramp, Samoa Joe runs down and attacks him. He drops Kingston on the stage with an Uranage. As a few refs try to help him up, Joe comes back out and locks him in the Coquina Clutch.

Alexa starts attacking Naomi after the match and wants Cross to join in. Nikki doesn't want to and shoves Naomi out of Alexa's hands. Natalya runs down to defend Naomi.

Ricochet vs. AJ Styles

Anderson and Gallows come down to watch from ringside. Anderson tries to trip Ricochet and Styles yells at them not to interfere. He tells Anderson and Gallows to leave so they can keep the match going. They don't look happy, but they choose to listen.

The kickoff panel consists of Booker T, Coach, Charly Caruso, and David Otunga and they hype tonight’s matches and give their usual predictions.

After Corbin and Rollins make their way to the ring, Corbin reveals the special guest referee to be Lacey Evans.



Corbin uses the steel chair against Rollins and Lacey doesn't DQ him. She tells the announcer is now no disqualifications. Rollins recovers and hits a falcon arrow on the chair. Lacey refuses to make the count for him. Seth gets in her face and she slaps him in the mouth. She hits him with a low blow and Corbin hits his finisher. Becky runs down and tackles Lacey. She beats the life out of Evans and throws her out of the ring. A few officials run down to break up the fight. A new ref gets into the ring and it's the same one who Corbin blamed for his last loss. Rollins takes him down and hits The Stomp for the pin and the win to retain his title.



Becky and Seth celebrate together as the announcers call the replays. They pose on the stage to end the show.



Rating: 70/70



I mean the show and the matches was decent but that Universal Title match was just a mess considering it had the title on the line. I was surprised with how the PPV was pretty good though it had some great moments.

The New Day opens SDLive.
They talk about their upcoming matches at Stomping Grounds.
Dolph Ziggler comes out to interrupt and promises to defeat Kofi for the WWE title on Sunday. He talks about all the things he plans to do to Kingston inside the steel cage.

Alexa comes out with Nikki Cross by her side for their interview with Bayley. Bliss demands a cup of coffee, but Bayley is the one who comes out with her mug. She takes a few sips and chooses to keep it. She tells Nikki that Alexa is just using her.
Bayley and Bliss argue about who is better and who deserves the title more. Alexa calls her a placeholder who is just jealous. Bayley attacks her and Nikki pulls her off. Bliss decks Bayley with a hard-right hand as she argues with Cross.

The B-Team vs. Heavy Machinery

Rollins comes out and attacks Axel and Dallas for considering being the special guest ref for his match on Sunday.

Shane McMahon comes out with Drew McIntyre and Elias for a promo segment.
The Miz comes out and plays some clips of Roman Reigns beating up Shane and his posse last night. McMahon tells the production truck if they continue, they would be fired.

Elias hits a huge running knee to eliminate Truth. A bunch of Superstars run down but Truth escapes through the crowd with his 24/7 Title.

R-Truth tries to leave the arena and Drake Maverick attacks him dressed as Carmella. He pins Truth and drives away as the new 24/7 Title.

RAW


The show opens with Elias in the ring with his guitar. He reveals he is going to be the guest ref for the universal title match at Stomping Grounds. Seth Rollins appears behind him and hits him with a chair several times.


Rollins says anyone who considers joining forces with Baron Corbin will get the same thing as Elias. He leaves before The Miz makes his entrance for the Fatal 5-Way match to find a new No. 1 contender for the U.S. Title.


The Miz hits Elias with his finisher to get a pop from the crowd. Lashley is out next and he Spears Elias out of his boots. Cesaro is out third and he grabs Elias by his legs ad swings him around several times. Ricochet comes out and hits Elias with a double knee before Strowman comes out and hits him with a powerslam.



Fatal 5 Way Elimination Match


Ricochet won and will go on to WWE Stomping Grounds to face Samoa Joe for the USTitle.


Samoa Joe attacks Ricochet after the match but Ricochet gets the better of him and sends him out of the ring so he can hit a dive over the top rope.



Becky Lynch is out after the break to talk about her upcoming match against Lacey Evans on Sunday.

Lynch talks about all the ways she is going to beat up Evans before The Sassy Southern Belle comes out to respond. Lacey talks about how she has managed to stay classy despite being through some tough things in her life. She brings her up time in the Marines and how it taught her dignity.

Becky hits Evans with a Bexploder before taking her hat and heading to the back.

Heath Slater is shown asking Shane for a raise backstage. McIntyre appears to be treating him like a friend until he attacks Heath and leaves him laid out. Back in the arena, KO and Sami Zayn are out for the Kevin Owens Show. They bring out Baron Corbin to name who will be his special guest referee.

Corbin reveals he has chosen EC3 as his referee. As soon as he comes out on the stage, Rollins nails him with a steel chair from behind. After he leaves, Big E introduces The New Day.

AJ Styles is shown having a conversation with Anderson and Gallows backstage. They talk about their history together. AJ tells them they have gotten too comfortable with their position and asks when the last time they won a match was. They tell him to watch them beat The Usos later tonight.

Paul Heyman is out after the break and wants to make sure Rollins knows he will not be the referee in his match on Sunday. Heyman says Rollins and the Lakers both traded away their balls this week. He teases the possibility of Lesnar being there to cash in his contract.

Reigns comes to the ring after the break to talk about his upcoming match against Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds. He calls out Shane McMahon, but Shane just appears on the big screen. While Shane and McIntyre talk trash, Reigns heads backstage to find them. He fights off The Revival before he walks into Shane's VIP room. He puts McIntyre through a table before he starts chasing Shane into the arena.

They fight all the way to the ring where Roman hits Shane with a Spear to put him down.

Rowan catches him and hits the Claw Slam on the apron to cause a DQ. Bryan and Rowan team up on Rollins until The New Day make the save.

More people join the fight and it turns into a giant brawl. Mike Rome announces the match will start again with everyone being kicked from the ringside area.

SmackDown Live



SmackDown opens with The Miz coming out for Miz TV.

The Miz says he is being forced to host the show tonight before introducing his required guest, Shane McMahon. He screws up the intro a little on purpose.

Elias and McIntyre accompany Shane to the ring for this interview. Shane makes Greg Hamilton give him a proper introduction before he has Elias play a little tune. The Miz says all of Shane's accomplishments are tainted and he doesn't deserve to call himself the best in the world.

The Miz and Shane argue back and forth until Miz gets mad about a joke made at his dad's expense. Shane says The Miz must beat Elias and Drew if he wants another match with him.

Bryan and Rowan are out after the break to face two local talents before Heavy Machinery interrupt. They challenge Bryan and Rowan to a title match. Bryan says they haven't done enough to earn it. Bryan says Otis and Tucker should face the jobbers to prove themselves.

Apparently, Heavy Machinery are the new YOLO County Tag Team Champions. Also, this just as dumb as the 24/7 Title.

Dolph Ziggler comes out and talks trash about Kofi. He shows a clip from Super ShowDown when Xavier Woods helped Kingston win. He says the footage shows he should have been champion. He says their cage match at Stomping Grounds will prove who is better.

KO and Zayn come out to join Ziggler on the stage. Sami says the fans are hypocrites for cheering for Kofi while he cheats to win.

Raw opens with Seth Rollins heading to the ring.


Rollins talks about overcoming Lesnar and how good it felt to hit him with a chair several times. Baron Corbin comes out on the stage to interrupt. He gets a lot of heat from the crowd and gets a little more by insulting the city. He says Seth should worry about him, not Lesnar. He says he gets a rematch at Stomping Grounds with a special guest referee he gets to pick.


Sami Zayn's music hits and he comes out on the stage. He says he supports Corbin right now but he does care about Seth as a person because they have known each other for a long time. He says being the champion is not good for Rollins. Zayn seems to want to be the special guest ref for the match at Stomping Grounds.


Kevin Owens comes out and says Corbin would be a better champion than Rollins. KO mocks the wildcard rule a little and Rollins challenges him to a match in the main event.

Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans have a side by side interview. Both women do the usual amount of trash talking.



Alexa Bliss is shown lying to Nikki Cross about how mean Bayley can be. She plays into Nikki's insecurities and gets her to agree to be in her corner tonight. Back in the arena, The Miz heads to the ring for MizTV.


The Miz welcomes Samoa Joe to the ring after the break. Joe talks about getting back his title and Miz throws to a clip of Joe attacking Mysterio from behind. Joe finds the video funny and Miz says Rey did the right thing and criticizes Joe for attacking him. He says Joe crossed the line by threatening Dominic but Joe shows no remorse.


Miz and Joe almost get into a fight before Braun Strowman comes out and says he wants a shot at the title. Bobby Lashley's music hits and he comes out to throw his hat into the ring, metaphorically. He says he isn't done with Braun or Joe. Ricochet comes out, followed by Cesaro. He suckers punches Ricochet to start a huge brawl.

The Super ShowDown pre-show has begun. The show opens with Charly Caruso, David Otunga and Beth Phoenix at the WWE headquarters. They hype tonight’s show.

Corbin attacks Rollins after the match and hits the End of Days. Lesnar's music hits and he heads to the ring with a chair. Heyman trips as he gets in the ring and the crowd laughs. Rollins pops up and hits a low blow to Lesnar. He grabs the chair and starts beating on Brock.

Rollins hits The Stomp onto the briefcase to put Brock down once and for all. He grabs his belt and celebrates as he leaves up the ramp.

Finn Balor retains the ICTitle



Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon


McIntyre comes in and hits a Claymore while the ref is down. Shane makes the cover and the ref counts the pin. After he wins, Shane leaves on the shoulders of McIntyre.


Lars Sullivan vs. The Lucha House Party in a Handicap Match


Dorado and Metalik trip him and the ref calls for the bell. LHP have been disqualified. They gang up on Sullivan and beat him into the mat. Each man takes turns hitting big moves on Sullivan. Sullivan destroys Lucha House Party before heading to the back.

SmackDown Live


SmackDown opens with the announcers running down what we can expect on tonight's show. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods come out to kick things off in the arena.


Kingston talks about how he always fights through the low times and it has allowed him to win the WWE title. The crowd chants "You deserve it." They throw to a vide of Kofi visiting Ghana as WWE champion.


Kofi gets a little emotional talking about being able to go home. He says being able to return to Ghana as a success until Dolph Ziggler comes out to interrupt him. Ziggler calls him an inspiration and he says that he respects Kofi too much to attack him right now. He says this is about why Ziggler is the way he is. He shows his own video package.


Ziggler says he has given everything to WWE but it was Kofi who got the WrestleMania moment. He says everyone will realize he is the hero of this story and it should have been him who won the title. Kingston plays a clip of the time Ziggler gave up the U.S. title for no reason.


Ziggler shows another video of when he attacked Kofi a few weeks ago.

Alexa Bliss is here to interview Bayley after the commercial. The Hugger comes out looking as happy as ever to be SmackDown women's champion. Bliss criticizes the coffee she was given and demands a new cup. Bayley looks confused why Bliss hasn't asked her anything yet. Bliss says she is going to wait until her coffee is delivered.


Bliss implies that Bayley won the title by luck and tries to talk up her own accomplishments. She asks if the title really means anything since Bayley is holding it. The champ says she won't take the bait but Bliss cuts her off when her coffee arrives. Bayley knocks the cup out of her hands and Alexa gets in her face. Carmella's music interrupts and she dances her way onto the stage.


Charlotte comes out and announces a women's match for tonight to end the segment.


R-Truth vs. Elias for the 24/7 Title in Lumberjack Match

Elias wins and becomes the new 24/7 champion. The lumberjacks surround Elias after the match, and everyone starts brawling. Elias somehow manages to crawl away from the fight, but Truth finds him. He chases Elias under the ring and comes back out as the new champion after the ref calls for the bell again. Drake Maverick chases him into the crowd.



Shane McMahon comes to the ring with The Revival after the break to talk about Roman Reigns. Shane is pleased with Greg Hamilton's intro for once.

Shane talks a bunch of trash to draw Reigns out. The Big Dog takes out Dash and Dawson with ease. He starts walking to the ring where Shane is waiting, but Drew McIntyre comes out of nowhere to deliver a Claymore Kick. He brings Reigns in the ring so Shane can hit a Spear.



Alexa Bliss vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Carmella in a Triple Threat - #1 Contender Alexa Bliss won and will be facing Bayley at Stomping Grounds for the SmackDown Live Women's Championship.



Lars Sullivan comes out for his first official interview and the crowd keeps chanting Goldberg at him. Kayla Braxton asks him why he does the things he does, and he gives a vaguely poetic response. Lars says he has been called a freak his entire life and has learned to accept it.



Andrade attacks Apollo Crews before the bell and beats the life out of him. Finn Balor runs down to make the save but he ends up on the receiving end of a Hammerlock DDT. Andrade leaves with Zelina Vega to end the segment.



Goldberg talks about his upcoming feud with The Undertaker and says he is going to be the same man who went 173-0 in WCW.



The sound of Undertaker's music hits and he appears in the ring. Goldberg turns around and stands right in his face. The lights go out again and Taker is gone. The crowd went nuts for their face to face.

The segment ends with three minutes left in the show. The announcers fill the rest of the time by hyping Super ShowDown.
